Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
So I went shopping in All Saints for a couple shirts today. Bought a nice chambray shirt ad wanted some jeans to pair it with.
The guy assisstant gives me this pair of black jeans in my size. I try them on and they are like a wetsuit! I came out the chnaging room laughing and obviously expected him to say he'd get me a pair that fit. But to my total surprise he was like 'They look awesome, a perfect fit'. :o
I was like 'Seriously? I can hardly bend?' And he was 'Nah they are really cool, look I'll get the other guys.' Then the two other assistants come over and they are both wearing what I'd consider to be ridiculous, skin tight trousers and jeans, with awful low cut t shirts and weird hair cuts, but they were also saying that these were great.
I felt like I had on a pair of jeans from a tribe that I don't belong to but kind of wanted to. I mean even though these guys looked gay as fuck to me, the fact that they worked in All Saints and all had on such trendy clothes convinved me they must be really cool people.
So I was sold, I bought them and will wear them out tomorrow.
Anyway my questions is, what do people think of skinny jeans?
Really, what I mean by that is, what does CutMeMick think of skinny jeans, as if I got 99 negatives from the rest of you, and MIck said they were cool, that to me would be a unanimous endorsement of them.
So Mick, are skinny jeans cool for slim, little guys?

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I think that as soon as you left the shop they laughed their asses off! ;D
I get it when I go suit shopping. If I listened to them I'd leave wearing something
shit.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
You would be less gay if you just sucked some dick instead.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Same thing happened to me just the other day I picked up some new Forget the name of the fabric but they are like a micro thin pure cotton, black skin tight jeans they weighed next to nothing, but at $299 I laughed at the price and left them.
So Im still straight.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
So far the kind of responses I expected. Missy, the jeans I bought are nowhere near as skinny as that! More slim fit than skinny. Josh, that is on my bucket list.

You're lucky you look younger than you are, because older men in skinny jeans are just sad. Unless they're gay, then it's acceptable.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Skinny jeans are horrible and for people with very small penises. They don't look good and look incredibly uncomfortable around the crotch area.
I don't approve.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I will say this: when you're looking at clothes and a bunch of ultra-hip gay 20 year old surround you an tell you that you look great, it's hard to resist buying whatever you are wearing. I once almost bought a $400 Club Monico jacket under the very same circumstances. Everyone else, including my gay best friend, thought it looked ridiculous when I took them to the store and showed them after the fact. It was very confusing.
I'll see if I can find a picture of the jacket.
Edit: This is it here. Doesn't look bad on that guy, but it looked fucking ridiculous on me:

That jacket looks alright, but those skinny jeans just look absurd.

in the late 70's early 80's all the kids had duffle coats. I see no reason to repeat past fashion mistakes. Did they try and sell you mittens on a string?

Easy to arrange, you're just not trying. Just remember to pay attention to the balls, taint and if you think you can get away with it first time out, shove a finger up his ass. Jobs a good 'un.;D

I would definitely sport mittens on a string.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Most men when they think skinny jeans they picture what Missy posted... (which clearly proves Missys a man)
While those are skinny jeans, there are different styles and brands.
A good style and brand can still be fitted and skinny and not look like that guy on the picture.
I've posted pictures of the different ones I have. When worn just right they can look great.
I wear skinny jeans as office wear as seen here in this pics. (I took this pic during my break which is why I had the chains on the side of the jeans)

The best part about that outfit is that you don't even have to change before going to the gay bar after work. Very efficient BeltMyNeck.

I use to wear them when I was a teenager but not now. In fact do not wear jeans now.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Well, at least with the snug fit your guaranteed not to get that bothersome sand in your vagina anymore ;D
Seriously though, I've seen them on the younger crowd and they pretty much look redickless. Then again every number of years a new fad comes along. I'd put them on par with guys wearing the stone washed Sassoon jeans way back. But these would be harder to run in when you are getting beat up, just guessing ;D

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
People should never follow fashion trends as it is only ever going to make people laugh at you down the line. One should always try to look smart, but effortlessly timeless. And that goes for clothing, hair, everything.
Nobody could ever look at me and say look at that ninny in the skinny jeans or look at that plonker with a mullet.
Sure they could say 'look at that raving nutter who dresses respectably', but nobody is ever going to say that I dress like a nutter.

I think Mick looks pretty cool. The jeans I got are like those, not really skinny, but a very slim fit. It's hard to bend in them and I wore them out Saturday night with a pair of boots so probably not the best look. My mates ripped the piss out of me and kept asking me if I'd just got off a horse which demoralised me and took all my confidence away.
Consequently I resovled to wash them and take them back this week.
Since however, I have tried on all my other jeans and they all look weird to me now. I really like the look of these skinny jeans looking down at them, I put a pair of white/blue Adidas Nastase trainers and I think they go pretty well.
I might buy a pair of white Converse All Stars and wear them with that, or maybe black trainers like Mick has. I like a bit of colour though to break the black up.
Still I think I am going to keep them now. Fuck the haters.

If you like the way they look then keep them. Who gives a fuck what your asshole friends, or any of us assholes on here, think?
Personally, I think they look very silly and very fad-ish, but that's just my opinion.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I'm not having a go at anyone with my post, but just saying that I shall never succumb to the airy whims of fashion. I like a nice pair of jeans like any man, but you need space for your balls. I have no desire to father, but walking around with crushed testicles can't be too pleasant. And not being able to bend is a serious sign that things are wrong.
The only skinny things I wear are the ties as I look alright with a thin tie. It's never going to look particularly tragic. Not unless I decide to put it around the neck of someone who gets in my way on the footpath.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Check out this link and watch the video.
Mine are I guess like that pretty much. It looks like he's wearing a pair of white converse. I actually like this look, especially wearing them looking down it looks pretty cool I think.
I wore them out dressed up with boots and a grey chambray shirt, I'm not sure I felt comfortable in that.
But with white converse' and a t shirt I think it looks pretty good.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I find only certain people can pull off the skinny jean. I don't wear them but I do think they look ridiculous especially when they have the crotch area just above the knee.
Micks jeans look pretty normal and I wouldnt' call them skinny jeans just a straight leg.
-
Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I'm eally torn on this. I have to aay I really like the look of slim jeans paired with white converse, I think it looks really good for walking around town in.
I also think I sort them ok. I'm only short, which might be bad, but I am pretty skinny, only 10 stone and they give my legs decent shape I think, although they are very tight compared to what I normally wear.
I think I look young enough to get away with it, but I don't know if I should be trying to dress older, even though I don't feel comfortable at all with the way you are supposed to dress past 30. I have never tucked in a shirt for example, I feel ridiculous like it and I feel like I am most comfortable in young looking clothes, just don't know if I should give these a miss.
-
Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
the fact they give your legs a decent shape as you say is enough to not wear them.
what are people over 30 supposed to dress like anyway? I wear Jeans, t-shirt, hoodie or jacket what else is needed

If you like the way you look, why not give it a shot? Unless they were $300 jeans and you're not going to be able to pay the rent if you don't return them, what is the harm?

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I went through Sears yesterday and noticed they are pushing some of the pre torn and faded jeans too ??? I honestly don't get that at all. Where's the effort with the youth!? I sprung for a pair of new button fly which I haven't worn in bookoo years. Fuckers are comfy!

Button flies are worse than Hitler.
I was taking a piss the other day at a place where I'm doing an internship and trying to turn it into full-time employment. I'm standing at the urinal trying to get the goddamn buttons done up and the one of the big bosses walks in. I'm sure it looked like I was just standing there tugging it.
Fuck button flies. They ruined my career.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
Ha ;D No doubt, once you have them broke in it works. Used to joke it was easy access for date...I know, what scum....like a Tin of Pringles pop pop pop ;D now it could just be the fact that my fat ass can once again wear what I did as a kid.

I will say this for button flies, there is no risk of getting your wang caught in them like zippers. Had that happen once when I was a kid and my eyes still water when I think of it.

Re: Got talked into buying some skinny jeans
I wear skinny (well slim) jeans but i'm a fashionable cunt. And if anyone corrects this post by crossing out 'fasionable' then they will get fucking knacked.
