Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
All you hear now in the news, this idiot made a racial slur yet the accuser won't say anything in public - all the time in football!
Now this Tiger woods thing will drag on until the next 'incident' , fuck what he said wasn't even racist.
Would have thought by now racism would have gone the way of aids, old news and annoying to keep hearing about.
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
yep bored to death of it
you can call people white, ginger, little, greasy, fat, skinny etc...etc.... but not black
in my office when people are describing someone who you may need to contact or find in in open plan office, some are afraid to say 'black guy' or 'black woman'. Pathetic
some poor woman got berated for using the term 'half cast' . Apparently thats not PC any more. Oh yes and I got bollocked for callinga type of music urban by a black female colleague who was into that scene. Like wtf ?!?!?
is tiger woods offended ? or just every other fucker ?
-
What was his caddy supposed to have said?
I read some stuff in the news and had assumed they had edited the bad stuff out, but it seems that there simply was no bad stuff?
All I read was him saying it was his happiest caddy momment???
I'm against racism completley, but for something to be racist it needs to be offensive, not factual. ie- if a person is black, then they are black. Nothing offensive in that.
All of my black/ Indian/ Muslim friends are actually the first ones to crack the racist jokes out about themselves.
But yes, I am getting very bored of the Ba, Ba, Ba Sheep culture. (that's what my daughter had to sing in nursery because Black Sheep implies black people are odd, I kid you not)
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
btw AIDS is on the increase so that's not such a good example ;D
it's like when you have a black / white guy boxing. They don't say x is the black guy, nope, we get a lovely description on there shorts and boots :) now I know there is nothing wrong with telling them apart by there shorts BUT there is one other blindingly obvious difference between them.

"Black asshole" fat, skinny, ugly, white would have been perfectly acceptable adjectives had he been any of them, but black, even though he is black, is racist.

Yeah they're lambs.

Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Using the word 'Black' in a swear word is racist, why not simply call them cunt, ass hole, why have to put the colour of their skin into it. People get discriminated, excluded and even killed because of the colour of their skin so although Tiger Woods or even Ferdinand may not really worry about being called the names, the people that use them do need to be told that they are wrong.

so its the combination of skin colour and swear word that makes it racist. 'that black has-been golfer' would have been acceptable then ?
maybe you right

but if he is black how does it make it worse than fat bastard, ginger bastard. It's a descriptive word.
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
The person is after all 'black' so it shouldn't be deemed racist. It is a colour and the person is that colour. It shouldn't be a problem.
It seems that black people such as Floyd and Hopkins can be racist all the time and yet anytime a white person says something, then hell freezes over.
It's a case of total double standards.
Either you have standards for all or you have none. I think racism should only be a problem if there is serious malicious intent there. For instance, you shouldn't attack comedians for racist jokes.
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Someone having a go because you describe music as 'urban'? That black woman should have been told to fuck off, though clearly better to leave out any description of her obvious and actual colour.

They are wrong too. Its just fat and ginger are not a race.
That caddy has said 'black arsehole'..
I mean "cheating arsehole" we could of all accepted but he has drawn in all black people under the guise that he thinks black and arse hole belong together and that is racist.
-
I've read what he said now
"I wanted to shove it right up that black ass hole"
Does sound racist.
But I'm pretty sure there was no race hate there. Not really sure why he threw the black in there, he probably isn't! If he'd have called him a dishonest cunt instead there probably would have been much less of a fuss.
If Tiger had called him a white prick, for some reason it sounds less racist.
-
I've been tired of racism especially because a few people (Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton) use race to shakedown companies to pay them off.
-
This whole situation is an indictment on today's culture for so many reasons. The fact that someone can't describe another as a black asshole without being labeled racist is quite silly especially when u consider they r former friends. It also sucks because overblown things like this make it difficult for "real" victims of racism, many of whom are immediately pushed aside and accused of playing the color game. I think very little of people like Sharpton because his exploits have discredited legit victims of racism but this crap here is news
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Isnt saying you "Black ..............." just telling it how it is ?
I ve also never understood and if anyone on here wants to explain please do, but ive seen a few cases were a black guy calls his friends " hey nigger " ???? please explain to me how this is ok ? and why it is done ?
Plus thinking about it in future is a black guy pisses u off , call him a "white bastard "
then he will say actually im black , then making a further mockery of the "race card" with is to often used by do gooders.
Its an observation to call someone who is black - black , just as it is to say fat bastard to someone fat,im sick and tired of people telling me what i can and cant say.

Ahh is that what was said!
I read in the paper he said: 'Black arse hole.'
Cheeky press wankers! There is a big difference.

I think it also depends on context. Lets say a Korean person said, "That piece of white English shit should get the fuck out of Korea and go back to England." Now would that be racial? Or would he just be describing you as a White English man that he thinks is a piece of shit and shouldn't be in his country?

Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Talk about topical
No word of a lie my boss has just been pulled for using the term 'chinese whispers' in the monthly staff newsletter !!
Apparently thats deemed offensive these days. Would you Adam and fucking eve it.....

Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
I agree the politcal correctness shit is out of hand
However,
Tiger Wood's utter cunt of a caddy could have just called him an arsehole. The fact he said "black" brought race into it. See it's all about the underlying tones of racism

he's mixed race right?
according to wiki - This makes Woods himself half Asian (one-quarter Chinese and one-quarter Thai), one-quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch
He ain't even black.
Would anyone object to calling him a clog wearing ass hole?
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Wouldn't that come under nationality though?
Williams could have said "American arsehole" or "Dutch arsehole" or "Chinese/Thai arsehole"... Would he have called his current employer a "white arsehole" had they fallen out acrimoniously or just an "arsehole?"
Reckon him saying "white" is a longshot.
-
...In defense of the moron, Steve is Australian and they aren't known for their political correctness. Australia is like Texas and England had a baby and then dropped a whole bunch of murder-animals on it.
Tiger doesn't seem to give a shit though

Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
Fenster and Andre see it. It is clearly racist why can't the rest of you see it. If a Korean had said the things to Miles about his skin colour and race, then that would be racist too. If a black person, (by that I mean African Caribbean in this country) uses the term nigger to his black friend, he is not being racist and demeaning to himself. Power + Prejudice = Racism.

maybe the difference is if someone called me something to do with my colour and race i couldnt give a shiny shite. who the fuck cares.
so please tell me if black people cant be called black , then what do we call them ?
and let me say im not being funny , i really dont know how to call them.
like missy said we refer to a black boxer as the guy in the blue shorts or wotever.

we've had this discussion here before, if that word is wiped out then is calling lyle, redneck, cracker etc. All equally offensive terms.
-
Re: Anyone else bored of 'racism' yet?
I've actually run into a few that would tell you to fuck right off if you didn't refer to them as black when being descriptive, rather than some trumped up PC "African American" etc etc. There are times when race is specified as it happens alot in the south and it always kills me when a white person is having a "normal" conversation and all of the sudden drops into a low whisper " The black percentage of students"....:smilie_whisper: :boxedin: :o and then kick back up to normal tone. Kills me everytime. Shit, thats a case of not what you say but how you say...what the hell are you ashamed of and why are you whispering. Racist slag. I've heard people step right up, "fook that, I'm black, period". Honestly I can't have anything but respect for that. Keep it real. People today are just too damn sensitive but its the new touchy feely society we live in. Pc runneth over. Now being called an asshole in a public forum, thats just messed up. But in his case it was used as a double negative..black asshole?! Assholes an asshole, don't matter what color it is :-X

Exactly, if someone called me a 'motherfucking white cunt', the white part would be the least of my worries. It is the other words that have more of an impact. Though after years on here, it would probably all just wash over me.
It's racist, but only a shallow skinned girl gets upset over it.

How about "Sir" or Ma'am".
But while we are on the topic, how is person born in country, raised in a country, any other than from that country?
If you are born in Canada, you are Canadian. If your great, great, great grandparents were born in Sweden, it does not make you a Swiss-Canadian.
As far as it goes, we all were born on the planet Earth, there for, we are all Earthlings.
