RIP!!!
Very sad day , RIP champ, you will be missed .
RIP Smokin Joe Frazier. In the face of unreasonable provocation you were calmness personified. You showed them scamboogahs who doubted you, you beat the greatest on both sides of the rope.
RIP Champ. Sad day.
Smokin Joe Frazier....it just kinda rolls of the tongue, still the best moniker that I have heard. You know I feel for Joe as his life was always in the shadow of Ali. To the day he died he never liked Ali and never really forgive him for things Ali said about him. The dislike he had for Ali went far beyond the boxing. To be fair to Ali. I don’t think he realised the damage his words did to Frazier and the deep scars they left on him. And I know for sure that Ali will be one the first people to speak highly of Frazier when the eulogies come out following his death. All we should remember him for was what he achieved in the boxing ring. He was a great fighter.
RIP Smokin Joe Frazier.
RIP champ.. You will be missed..
One of the true legends of boxing... Loved watching his old fights, sad sad lose. :(

What a sad day for boxing. A true warrior and gentleman outside it. I know it still somewhat bother him with what Ali said and did to him. Lets hope he finally finds some peace at last. RIP champ.

Boxing world pays tribute to Frazier - Yahoo! Eurosport
Very generous and gracious of him, lets hope they take advantage of his offer.
R.I.P Joe, you were the working class man's champion, you never took shortcuts and always went out there and fought your heart out, all the way till your last breath, more people could learn a thing or two from you, and I'm not talking only about fighters, IMO the greatest fighter to come out of Phillie, and you will always be remembered as the man who FIRST beat the great Ali, a true legend of the sport who was champion in the golden era of the heavyweight division, and with all of the accolades and no matter how big of a legend you are even when alive, you still managed to be a humble man walking amongst everyone else as if well you were just one of the crowd, God Bless you Joe and your family, you will be missed
RIP Champ.
Boxing has lost a great fighter & a great man.
It was a pleasure to watch Joe during boxing's greatest ever heavyweight era.
Condolences to the Frazier family also.:(
big loss to the world of boxing rip
The respect comming out now on the Radio, TV, Newspapers, Internet etc tells you all you need to know about what people thought about this guy. LEGEND both as fighter and a man.
His last interview with Jameel McCline

Joe Frasier won an Olympic gold medal and came from an impoverished background. He was the real inspiration to the Rocky story and won the greatest and biggest ever fight in history. Superstars had to take menial jobs just to get into the arena on that day. That day was the greatest day of boxing Joe achieved, and if he had to win one fight of the trilogy that would have been this one. His will and courage was impossible to beat and there was no quit in him at all. He had a bomb of a left hook that exploded his opponent into unconsciousness. RIP Smokin Joe.
Rip champ. Good luck on your journey
Yep, good luck from here on champ.
May the Lord bless Joe and his family.
Sad news to hear. And today Rap and Hip Hop Legend Heavy D just died 4 hours ago... what is going on here?!?! :(
My hero of my youth is gone. This one really hurts. R.I.P. Champ.
My first exposure to boxing was an Ali-Frazier fight. At a very young age, I already dislike Ali's personality and always routed for Frazier. I see their fights as a battle between David and Goliath, it's just that David didn't always win.
May eternal rest be granted unto Joe Frazier O Lord and may he rest in peace.
Sad news... Joe was real nice and cordial to my family. Back in the 70's Joe was touring wit his R&B and made a stop off to the palace theatre in Waterbury ct. My dad was a police offer with my uncle in charge of security backstage. My grandfather was a big fan and of course my father let him in to meet Joe. My father told me the story again tonight how engaging and warm Joe was. They talked for a time like to old friends catching up, posed for pictures with him and was just all around great. I had a chance to meet Joe 2 yrs ago when he was at the espn studios doing Friday night fights and I brought the picture with me. He was great, he remembered being in Waterbury didn't remember my grandfather. When I showed him the picture he lit right up!! It was awesome, he signed a glove posed for pics and was really nice to my stepson, took him in his lap and was imparting some words of wisdom.. All the great things you heard about Joe on the ring, I heard just as much great things about the man he really was pure class.. RIP Champ
