I thought Manny would win a hard fought UD and I said by no means would Manny roll over Marquez. I didnt think that outcome would have happened, because of the weight difference. Weight difference or not, Marquez has Mannys number and thats what the difference is between them. Nobody can take anything away from Marquez from that performance. I thought it would be close in Mannys favour, but no way would it have been a walkover. Well done Marquez!! You have proved a lot of people wrong.

Marquez made Pac look extremely ordinary and did so often and to do it by jumping 2 weight classes and at 38. The man is a warrior and a legend.

Manny will be having nightmares for the rest of his life. He thought he would bust up the bogeyman, but didn't come close.

I still haven't watched the fight (but couldn't resist finding out the outcome), so I won't bend over just yet, but going by the reviews on here I, like many others was very wrong.

I just could not see at that weight, at that age, after the problems a very limited Katsidis caused, how Marquez would be able to handle Pacquiao.

I'm downloading the fight now and if I'm wrong, I'll return to take my bumming.

I was getting a bit sick of seeing "Pacquiao dominates and stops Marquez early". I said Manny Pacquiao was the same fighter he was when he fought JMM in there 2nd fight. And that he only looked better because of the style of opponent's he was facing.

I was rooting for JMM all the way, i was just a bit worried about him moving up in weight because he looked flabby last time vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. And that maybe father time was catching up to him.

But JMM is my favourite current fighter, he's everything you love about boxing. And the only legit fight he's lost is too Floyd Mayweather Jr, above his best weightclass.

I think he beat Chris John, Freddie Norwood, Manny Pacquiao x3.

The only reason Manny Pacquiao got the decision, is because there's too much money to be made with the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

Hey I actually though JMM would get blitzed within 5. My reasons were age and fighting out of his weight class vs this current form of Pac. I am wrong. And I have no problems admitting it or you gloating a little, for I considered you to be a great fan of boxing that is unbias and knows his stuff. Went into this fight hoping manny would knock marquez out in rounds 7 to 12. Even made a bet with a friend who I thought had absolutely no idea what boxing was all about (was a girl, said manny would lose.. i know.. I'm a terrible human being). Now I'm down somewhere around $10 and my ego seriously bruised. Marquez, what a hell of a fighter.

JMM is a great fighter , he has never been beaten by anyone who isnt top draw , but seems to be shafted in close fights , he is a joy to watch.

I agree with all that and its probably the way it will go,but I reckon Juan is the better boxer. If he has done his homework and has really thought this out we may see a totally different style of fight from him. He may look to break up the timing and counter in between. A lot of the Manny fans also said he lost with the exception of PSL so let's not go there. And a lot of boxing fans thought Floyd lost the 1st Castillo fight that was ruled in his favor.

Mick - I'm with you 100%. I didn't understand how these posters were writing JMM off so quickly after the first two fights between these guys were so close. It didn't make sense to me. This had close fight written all over it.

JMM is a superb fighter. But I seriously doubt he could've achieved the same record manny had accomplished past 140. I'm in no way making excuses for manny but just like what nacho said, no fighter is invincible (was in 24/7 and what he said was something like a fighter always has someone who can beat him). Calling manny a fraud not only diminishes marquez's accomplishment but also takes something out of the sport of boxing.

How were the variables in his favor? It doesn't make any sense man. They had fought two close fights that you thought he LOST. You had him facing a guy who he had lost twice too. Thus, he choose to face a TOUGH fighter. I knew Marquez was his kriptonite. It isn't rocket science to know that Pacquaio struggles with counter punchers. So, if he was 0-2 against Marquez in some people's eyes, and then he voluntarily chooses to face him again, how is that cherrypicking or is a fraud? It seems fair and right that he would face him again. I 100% disagree with this. How does Manny deserve no praise from last night? Were you watching the fight I was? It was a scrap.
