Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
It's going on tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to this cruiserweight clash between the Green Machine and Diablo. It's a match between two top ten cruiserweights. The bookies favor Green by a hair, but I'm pretty sure I favor Diablo. My only concern is that Diablo looked rather poor in his last outing against Palacios and the outing before that against Robinson, both guys who he probably shouldn't struggle with. Previously, he had knocked out Fragomenni, a feat only David Haye has accomplished, and split two close fights with Cunningham. Will anyone have a stream?

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Diablo isnt active enough inside the ring to outpoint Green in Australia nor does he have the power and aggression to score a KO..
I got Green to win via decision..

Interesting take. Thing about Danny Green is that he has only really fought a legitimate cruiserweight at 200 twice: Tarver and Flores. He beat Flores and was stopped by Tarver. I'll admit I'm not too familiar with Green's entire career, but Diablo to this day has not been dominated and I'm just not sure Green is the guy to do it. It's a close one.

Im very familiar with greens career. You are completely correct in saying he has only fought TWO legit cruiserweights...BUT he knocked out the best ever in Roy Jones Jr....in one round !!!!
HAHAHA ok im fuckin with ya on that last comment, I hate that green beat Jones and I hate that aussie press talk it up so much considering jones was WAAAAAAAY past his use by date. Green has fought two legit cruisers and he struggled with flores and Tarver threw him a beating and lets face it...Tarver is really a lightheavy who moved up in weight. So really...he has only fought on legit cruiser. Im picking Diablo ( i dont wanna type his actual name coz its hard as fuck to spell) and im hoping he sends Green into retirement coz im sick of hearing his bullshit :)

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
big round for green machine. wobbled diablo and controlled rest of round.
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
pole came alive at the end of the round. so far though, it's green's jab that has been the difference. it has more intent behind it. he is also moving, which appears to give the pole problems because the pole needs to stop before punching.
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
pole looks a lot like matthew hatton.
-
Anyone got A stream link??
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
second time green's mouth guard *accidentally* fell out.
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
third time now. 5-3 Green

so far you were spot on.

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
diablo busted his nose up in the 10th
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Danny probably has it on the cards already. to me 6-4Green
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
diablo's won the 10th. can green hold any more?!
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
ref should take a point away soon from green
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Danny Green hurt in the 11th and down !!!!! KOOOOOO WIn for Diablo
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Wowowowo. Big time knockout out by diablo. Took green machine out to sea and drowned him in the later rounds. Huge knockout
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Looks like a left hook did Green Machine in in the end. Overhand right hand wobbled him prior to that.
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
gentlemen - time for a run. catch you later.
-
Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
I wonder what the scores where after 10. Looks like green has some injury. Could be a fracture or broken jaw
-
Thank you for the link man.

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
I think Danny did well, but in the later rounds he started throwing less and clinching more. Guess he knew he had it on the cards already and maybe he was gassed? Rocked in the 11th round with three hard shots and it was over.
Still a great effort though, and came so close! Only managed to catch 2 fights tonight (Tomlinson fight was great) and really enjoyed the event. Good to see Aussie boxing can still put on a good show.
But wtf was up with the Main Event broadcast not being HD?!?! I mean, UFC is on free-to-air and it's HD, but a pay-per-view is standard def? FFS...

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
One thing about this event astounds me: the odds from the bookies. It was like 2.2 for Diablo winning and 1.7 for Green winning. Was Diablo really an underdog here? Surely he gave terribly mediocre fights lately, but it's not like he was ever dominated and Green is not a cruiser.

I was surprised by the odds here too. I believe you are correct. It was the combination of Diablo looking poor in his last two fights and the fact the fight was in Australia. Finito, like many of the oddsmakers I imagine, thought that Green would cruise to a hard fought decision win getting the benefit of the doubt because it was in Australia and it looked that way until about the 10th round at which point Green tired, probably as a result of moving away from Diablo all night, and Diablo's power proved too much. To be sure, it was a big win for Diablo and resurrected his career somewhat, but I still believe he is a sitting duck for any of the top dogs at cruiserweight. Huck, Cunningham, Hernandez, Afolabi, and Jones all have the ability to beat him.
Dropanuke - no problem on the link.

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Judge: Mauro Di Fiore 97-93
Judge: Bruce McTavish 97-93
Judge: Kazuo Abe 96-93
Green up on all cards at time of the stoppage. Meaning Wlodarczyk would need another 10-8 round in the 12th to get a draw.

makes sense given the fight was in Australia. i had it 6-3 after the 9th and 6-4 after the 10th. so, if green had survived the 11th, it would have been a draw on my card going into the 12th.

i had it like you did, 6-4. But scorecards all in all look good.

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Green's problem is weight, he was 197lb for this fight which is an absurd increase since he beat Jones at 179lb 2 years ago. His best fighting weight was at 167-174lb. He was fighting at 174lb in December 2007 before his 18 month layoff.
WTF is he doing?
If he had problems with weight surely you don't stack on another 20lbs to compensate? He ran out of steam in this fight when he had it under control. He has been ill advised with regards to his weight and poorly handled fitness wise, his last two fights prove that.
He has had chances in both losses and was Knocked out late in both of them. Danny Green is an average pug ( he always looks wooden and slow to me) who has failed in every big fight he has had. ( i don't count a win over a washed up Roy Jones jr) Green needs to retire.

I agree completely. Green blamed his loss to Mundine on weight drain but never said a word about any other fight he had at super middleweight. I think light heavy was a good weight for him. I turned to my dad last night after the 3rd round and saw danny breathing heavy and said "dannys using all of his energy to move and keep krystof at bay....he cant keep this up for 12. Kristof will have his chance to hit him in the later rounds". Surely enough thats what happened. Im pretty happy with the result, hopefully with this knockout loss he will fuck off for good and stop taking the spotlight away from guys lik vic darchynian and katsidis.

Re: Danny Green v. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
Losses like this are always tough. Poor Green.. Dude was on his way to a comfortable decision victory until fatigue caught up to him...
IT was his poor conditioning. Green beat himself.. watch the whole fight and Diablo didnt do anything special... Low workrate, lack of aggression as always..
He should give Palacios another shot cuz he didnt win that fight as far as im concerened.

Don't be mad you were wrong, Finito. Hopefully, you didn't wager on it. Diablo predicted exactly that Green wasn't a real cruiserweight and that he would take him into the later rounds and knock him out, which is what happened. Green mostly outboxed Diablo, but like I said I had Diablo winning three rounds going into the 10th, but all that running from Diablo and taking Diablo's harder punches took their toll and Green gassed. There was a point in the middle rounds, maybe the 5th, where Green connected on Diablo and Diablo was wobbled a bit, but Diablo reacted like a cagey veteran in great shape and got himself out of trouble. Huck ko's Diablo. Cunningham beats Diablo. Hernandez beats Diablo. If Jones would fight every ten years, he'd beat Diablo. Lebedev ko's him brutally. However, Diablo is a legitimate cruiserweight who now has wins over Cunningham, Fragomenni, and Green. Not a half-bad cruiserweight resume.

Why would I be mad bruh? lol Im only sharing my view and i believe Green beat himself..
Nope, Green-Diablo wasn't the type of fight where you should bet on so i didnt touch it..
I rarely lose bets, Rant..
Credit to you for this pick though my man.. Now show your skills on the Saddoleague and make it count.. Show me that you are an elite player like me..
