Ya cheers, I love this fight. It shows what a beast Mosley really was even with a style that was so suited for him. I can't think of a single pressure fighter you could pick to beat Mosley at welterweight; the man could be outboxed but outfighting him would've taken something really incredible and way beyond what Margarito was capable of. With hindsight it's not at all surprising he handled Tony like that, I'm inclined to think Margarito at his absolute best couldn't have even been competitive with Mosley in his current form:-\. What possible gameplan do you give a guy like Margarito to fight someone who is just as tough as him, hits way harder, and has a ridiculous edge in speed and athletecism to boot.
To Cotto's credit, he has never used EPO. All natural and not facing a mindfucked Margarito who just got caught with loaded wraps minutes before the fight.
Watch Margarito making his way to the ring against Mosley... no swag, just fear and confusion in his eyes. He was ripe for the pickin.
There might be some truth to what you're saying, but I still believe most of the credit goes to Mosley and sorry, but the EPO reference is just a cheap shot.Quote:

I don't know if this is just me, but a Mosley-Ortiz matchup seems pretty interesting right about now. Or how about Mosley-Judah? Shane is older, but he is a fun fighter to watch (long as he's not completely outclassed)
I'd like to believe that EPO had nothing to do with Mosley's annihilation of Margarito, who might not have been at his "best" that night, but Mosley should still get full credit for knocking him down and out.Quote:

I have been A big Fan of Shane Mosely since I first read about him in Ring Magazne as A Brilliant Amateur Standout From California,shortly after that I had A chance to see him fight on HBO,and I have followed his carear ever since,when Mosley moved up in weight not many people questioned it, likely due to his Amateur background @ Welterweight,and the whole Steroid Era was just gettin kicked off,but prior to Shanes fight with Oscar you could see that his Muscle Mass,and overall body strenth was super human.I remember HBO showing A piece with Shane lifting A INSANE AMOUNT of weight prior to the fight and right then I turned to my wife and said "I Think Shane`s on Da Juice" Well although I`m often wrong,turns out on that night I was dead right.Shane seems like such A unlikely Guy to try and cheat to gain A competative advantage.The fact that he has never failed A drug test only confirms the fact that the current testing methods are totally inadequit,Frankly I could not blame MaWeather or any other clean fighter that would demand Independant testing before A fight.PEACEQuote:
