Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
I've always been a fan of Chris Byrd, going back to his Tuesday Night Fights days. His quirky style was always entertaining.
Angel Manfredy. I hate that he burned out so fast.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
I dunno man, I say "not so great" with a heavy heart but I was a big fan of Fernando Vargas - I have a hard time saying he was "not so great" as he had so much potential but never really won the big one apart from Winky Wright.
What he had achieved by such a young age was amazing though.
Massive fan of Eubank as a kid but I think he qualifies as great despite me now understanding that his record was padded out to the max. Only lost to Cal-slappy 8 rounds to 4 as well with a weeks notice and wayyy past his prime.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
Timothy Bradley, Chad Dawson, Juanma Lopez.
Not great fighters, not yet anyway. In Juanma's case, might never be.
-
Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
Vinnie Pazienza, Tommy Morrison and Ike Quartey.

One of us must be misreading the thread... Roy Jones, Gene Tunney, and Harry Greb on the "Not so great" list?!

Baby Jake Matlata
OK he was a World Champion but by no means a star or household name, genetics took care of that I guess.
Always a pleasure to watch.

Thats the one mate. It always looked like he was overmatched by at least a couple of weight divisions.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
Oscar Diaz.
His fight with Mike Smith was one of the first boxing matches to really capture my attention.
I hope he makes a full recovery some day.

Real tough guy, Diaz.. It's ironic how an average puncher like Rodriguez retired two fighters.. Diaz and now Wolack.. Not saying Wolack retired from being damaged but Delvin put him in that place..
I wish all the best for Diaz..

Sorry I misread it.
I thought Great.
Then not so great; as in two lists.
Should of read it closer.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
Emmanuel Burton/Augustus, the guy was always willing, even on a very short notice.
Eric Lucas: he became world champion but by no mean has he been a super talented fighter, he was all work ethics with a very candid and kind personality and if it wouldn't be for him, boxing would never be as popular in Canada(especially in Quebec) as it is now.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
I always enjoyed watching the following fighters who were not great -
Roger Mayweather , poor mans Tommy Hearns.
Buddy McGirt , just a pleasure to watch before his shoulder problem.
Carl Thompson , he was not in to many dull fights.
Pat Cowdell , he was a very neat smart boxer , ran Salvador Sanchez close , then Azumah Nelson did him in 1 round.
Tony Sibson , old Sibbo was a real good British fighter , Boxing News actually had him favorite to KO Marvin Hagler .
Nigel Benn , slam bang fighter.

Re: Who are some of your favorite Not so great fighters?
Anthony Farnell,
Michael Gomez,
Jaime Moore,
All manchester lads that came through with Ricky that never quite made it to the top, but all still fun to watch and in good scraps.
Enjoyed watching Michael Brodie too, his fight with In Ji Chi was legendary!
-
Emmanuel Augustus is by far my pick, he's in no way great, in no way a winner but the man just loved to fight and entertain.
