Who's next for Froch then?
Im just reading sky sports and Eddie Hearn really wants Froch to face Kessler at the Nottingham city stadium. I think Kessler should come to Nottingham considering that Froch went to Denmark to fight him. The rematch will be a great fight that I think Carl deserves after putting on some great performances. Hearn also mentioned Bute, that fight IMO would be a lot more competitive than a Ward, however I would prefer Ward - Bute first.
I think 168 weight class needs Ward - Bute to fight each other and Froch and Kessler fight again. I wouldn't mind Kessler - Bute as well.
There's still a lot of big match ups that can happen, the 168 weight class is very strong.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
I was haing a think... What would you rekon Froch up at Light heavey?
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Tam Seddon - my condolences on the loss last night. As we knew he would, your man gave it his all. Nothing to be ashamed of.
My thought has always been that Ward would win and then Froch would fight Bute. Ward has been through the gauntlet for the last two years and he deserves one "easier" fight. He also has a mandatory to deal with in the name of Anthony Dirrell. Beating Anthony would do well to build up a fight with his brother Andre. Froch lost of a bit of leverage by losing because he doesn't have belt and is coming off a loss. Bute and Froch is a major fight and would be relatively even going into it. It's Froch's biggest money-making fight available by far. A win over Bute puts Froch into a great position for unifying with Kessler in the Fall in a HUGE matchup in Britain. Kessler is out of commission until early Fall because he has a mid-April fight with Stieglitz. Ward seems to think Bute hasn't earned a fight with him yet, which may be true. If Bute beat Froch, a fight with Ward next would make a lot of sense. It will all depend on Froch. Maybe Froch wants an easy fight first because his confidence was shaken last night and he's earned it or if he thinks Kessler is an easier fight than Bute so it makes sense to take an easy fight and then face Kessler in the Fall. Bute could be left out in the cold again if Ward takes his mandatory and Froch goes back to Britain and then faces Kessler.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
IMO Bute wrecks Froch, his style is just all wrong for Froch, but Carl could rematch Kessler, call out Pavlik for a $ fight, or move up and rematch Pascal
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
I think Froch has the mentality for a fight with Dawson, could be interesting. Also a fight with Cloud would be FIREWORKS!

That is exactly what I think will happen. However, I could see Froch option to fight Kesler at him instead, because it will obviously be a much more favourable environment and he'll get more money.
I agree with ElTerrible too, Bute is a horrid style match-up for Froch. I'll be cheering for him, but I think he would get stopped. It would be fun while it lasted though, because Bute does get hit.

Froch is just too small for Cloud. He'd be overwhelmed in that fight.

Ha, yeah should of asterixed in ''while it lasted''. :D
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Id like to see froch bute because i think froch would win the fight and be right back in the mix
I also think froc would beat kessler quite clearly this time
But soemone said ward needs a break, if anyone needs a break and/or a fight at home its froch
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Froch could go to LHW , but he will never be top man at 168 he is to one paced.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Froch will have to travel to Canada to fight Bute otherwise move to light heavy and rematch Pascal.

A Rematch with Kessler was the first thing that came to my head when I read the thread title. Bute's style is all wrong for Froch.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
I agree with the majority of people who say he should rematch Kessler, if he cant get that I think he should move up in weight and fight Cleverly. As it would be a good money making fight and its the easiest way he has of getting another title.
I feel sorry for Carl but he has nothing to be ashamed of, he's fought the best and his heart has made up for his lack of skill compared to many that he has faced. We should be proud of Carl in the UK and as he gave it his all like we knew he would. Unlike Haye :-\ the big chicken!
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
I say he has alot options but the top 3 in my opinion would be. Bute, Kessler and maybe Pavlik if he can get his demons under control.

Stieglitz is signed to fight Kessler in April. It really depends on Froch. Froch shouldn't fight at 175 if he can still make 168. Plus Pascal has Sillakh as a mandatory and if he fights Froch, he gives up the the possibility to get another crack at the title. Froch should stay at 168 and see if he can get $1.5-$2 for a fight with Bute in Montreal. Of course Froch deserves a rest too. I can see that happening. Someone said Kelly Pavlik. Frankly, that's not a bad idea if Pavlik gets his act together and takes a warm up in the Spring. Kessler and Pavlik would not happen until the Summer/Fall. Bute could happen in the Spring if Froch wanted it. It comes down to whether Froch would prefer a fight with Kessler or Bute. Oddly, with Ward looking like he doesn't want to fight Bute next, if Froch doesn't face him, Bute could be once again lacking a top quality opponent. Who else could he fight?
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
I think Froch-Bute is the next fight for 3 reasons:
1) JEan BEdard, who's working for INterbox said that a fight with Froch would be easier to make than a fight with Ward and that it has been in the airs for a while. They even went to new-York to look at the possibilities here in order to organize the whole bout on a neutral ground and because many fans from Montreal could easily make the trip to New-York.
2) Froch threw a lot of darts to Bute lately and called him out a few times.
3)Ward in interview said that Bute doesn't deserve to fight him and that he should first fight another member of the super 6, saying that Froch would like that fight or that Dirrell would be available.
Personally, I think that the table is dressed in that direction.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Froch says he wants Bute home and away although I do not think Froch could draw too many fans from here as he has fought largely away and not been on mainstream TV for years unfortunately. Froch also wants to fight Kessler.
Re: Who's next for Froch then?
Froch v. Bute in Montreal in the Spring with a rematch clause for Froch v. Bute in Nottingham in the Summer. Bute and Hearn Discuss Two Fight Blockbuster With Froch - Boxing News That makes both the most amount of money and gives both a rematch in case Bute is gifted a hometown decision in the first fight.
