Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Evander Holyfield's eyes look like they are practically closed
Winky Wright. Him being a boxer is more obvious than any fighter i can think of. Winky 1998 and Winky 2011 look like two totally different people.

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Peter Manfredo Jr. I'm betting he wasn't a looker to begin with but that nose is awful
Chuck Wepner? Vinnie Pazienza? Carmen Basilio? Gene Fullmer? Antonio Margarito? Maybe Tex Cobb? Chuvalo?
The deal is, just like with Manfredo these guys weren't good looking to begin with

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Billy Collins Jr quickly comes to mind even though his opponent had illegal wraps.. but poor kid lost his career in just that fight.. /: Some even say his life. .. As said above me Peter Manfredo... and Arturo Gatti
-
Oh yeah, Arturo Gatti big time
-
Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Henry Cooper, Jake Lamotta, Chuck Wepener, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito. It's mainly guys who use their face and head to block punches and some are due to illegal wraps like billy collins jr.

Aaron Pryor and of Course Vito Antefermo who was champ just before Hagler. They were always temepted to have him donate a couple of pints of blood every time he fought. The corner men would have made some mad money.

Pazienza. Think he's had so much work done to reshape his face and nose he IS Micky Rourke!
Troy Dorsey. Manfredo looks like a Gargoyle.

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Margarito's eye got screwed
-
Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Jerry Quarry, he was actually handsome before his face began to resemble a catchers mitt.
Doug Dewitt, he even talked about getting plastic surgery after boxing to restore/improve his looks.
Both were very tough white guys who were prone to cuts and swelling.

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Shannon Briggs had fractures under both eyes after his fight with V. Klitchko
-
Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Tie between Chuck Wepner and Tex Cobb. "Perfect storms" for face damage:
- White bleeders
- Tough chins
- No defense
- Loved to brawl

Doug Dewitt was a fucking bad ass. He floored Nigel Benn and put up one hell of a fight. Also fought Tommy Hearns.
He reminded me of a bigger Greg Haugen. They looked a like, least to me;D

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
He was a tough bastard. He took one hell of a beating from Toney at the end of his career.

Him and Vito Antefuermo both. ;D

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Wait until you all see Floyd Jr in ten years, he takes very few punches but he's the spitting image of his dad. That may be worse then all the fighters mentioned in this thread.
Just pure ugliness, no punches needed, although dad took quite a few in his day.
I like watching Floyd Sr fights, you can see clearly where Jr's style came from.

Troy Dorsea had a face only a mother could love.;D

Saw a documentary on Box nation about a young Magri in the 70's, he has aged a bit. ;)

I agree with Bowe , his head now looks like a brown leather casey ( football ) that is deflating slowly.
he is one ugly bastard.

Zaragoza was born with that lived in face, I believe he was a chain smoker.

Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Cris Arreola ain't getting any prettier
-
Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
he wasn't pro but Mickey Rourke deserves a nod
Tim Bradley may not have punch damage but he should get honorable mention for being so naturally ugly.
-
Re: Fighters whose faces have taken the biggest toll during their careers
Wepner-probably had his own Mash unit
Gatti- skin like rice paper.
Cobb
Mancini
Crumble-the name, the record, the assumption
Hatton- maybe it’s his pale, pale skin but I’m convinced he’d get bruised up by a nerf football.
Auntuofermo- the Red Cross should have set up a booth at his fights.
Wickwar- you simply can’t have had close to 500 fights and not be damaged.
Strickland-self explanatory
Quarry-his trainer carried maxi-pads
