A well deserved shot for Macklin in what should have been a unification fight. He will give it his all and it will be a good watch......whilst it lasts
this is kind of like the Vitali/Chisora situation, Chisora was robbed against Helenius and Vitali stepped up and gave the real winner a crack at his belt, Martinez seems to be doing the same

Let's not compare the two fights chisora got robbed blind, macklin lost a close fight that could have gone either way in many peoples eyes. Martinez needs a big fight soon, father time isn't exactly on his side.Quote:

Macklin is a solid middleweight. Not sure he beats Martinez, but he's a credible foe. I need to watch more of his fights besides the Sturm one.Quote:

I agree with Terrible that Macklin's style matched up better with Sturm but overall, I believe Macklin is a better fighter than Barker..
Macklin will accomplish more as a MW..
After Macklin loses in a brave effort he will fight Barker.
