Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
Time to welcome that loveable scamp Teddy Atlas back into our living rooms. ;D
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
I love FNF, I get more excited for them rather than the big fights on HBO and Showtime.
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
FNF is always fun. Didn't ESPN lose it's boxing programmer to baseball?
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
I am glad FNF is back, I hope we get to see all the fights over here, they have been highly entertaining. Any boxing from the US is good boxing and I love the round up and boxing updates too.
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
I am happy to hear this yeh. Let's get this season underway without a delay for Nascar or German lawn darts pleeeeease.
-
I was blown when I got espn 2 cuz they weren't showing it anymore now I'm happy. Why was it removed anyways?

FNF was great last year. This year should be great too, they have a bigger budget.

They lost the in-studio host Brian Kenny, he's being replaced by Bernardo Osuna.
I'm sooooooooooo glad that FNF are back!! :yay2:

That kinda sucks. I always liked BK. Nice guy and seems passionate about boxing. And wasn't afraid to hold Floyd Mayweathers feet to the coals every now n again.
-
Yes it will be good to hear Joe and Teddy again. Last year was great, I don't think I missed a week. I agree some of the best fights last year were on fnf.

I agree BK seemed to be the studio guy that actually knew who was who and what was going on in the sport. And as you mentioned he pressed guests when the situation called for it.

Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
Brian Kenny was solid but Osuna should be a good replacement too.

For those in the UK it is not on regular ESPN but in ESPN America which has no HD at 2am so record it.

We also get FNF on ESPN3 on our computers here in the States Master, but you only get it if your Internet provider carries it. If you get ESPN America it's possible you can also get ESPN3 as well, you might check on it.
cheers

Douglin brought his mother..
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
Douglin looks like he might get knocked out again, he's wide open for big shots.

Well, whatever works for him, but I can't imagine having my mother in my corner, but that's just me.

Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
So I guess it's possible that Pac vs Floyd might still get made, since Floyd won't go into the slammer until June.
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
Damn, she's more than just a hairdo...nice concise instruction and called him on falling off balance all over the place.
Some nice give and take in first of year but talent gap is leaning Martinez huge as it goes

I still say this fight will never happen.
Manny will have another in-house fight, and Floyd will fight another guy that doesn't have the experience to fight him.
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
I think Martinez has more in the tank than Douglin.

Yup, so if the fight doesn't happen in May, then we're looking at the end of 2012 at the earliest. I just wish this fight would happen ASAP, so we wouldn't have to keep hearing about it.

I didn't think Douglin would go the distance.

Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
An fyi for anyone of you that may not have Showtime, it's a free preview weekend starting today, so after watching fnf, you can switch over and watch the fights on Showtime. ;D

I think Doughlin would do well to emulate Jermain Taylor (sans the getting KOed part).
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
I got Martinez by about 2. Good fight
-
Re: ESPN's FNF back Friday - Jan. 6th
Well, sign of things to come in my 2012 scoring picks ;D ugh

Not me. Canelo isn't ready for Floyd, and that's probably why Floyd will pick him. ;D
