Star Wars all the way, in my mind episodes I, II and III never happened.
Same with the Star Treck franchise liked the new generation and hated William Shatner shagging different aliens.
Original Star Wars films were quality, much better than the newer films with huge budgets and technology, they cost £80 to make , blue peter done the sets, and the costumes came from dodgy charity shops ,but it was class.
star trek forever and ever. nothıng wıll take away that bare-bones magıc of 1965 was ıt.
star trek forever. by the tıme star wars came out the world already sucked.
A bit difficult to compare like for like. The original first three Star Wars films were a brilliant example of a traditional story arc, using the same format as Greek, Roman and modern literature the heroes quest just hooks you in young or old. Lucas in many ways has never bettered them and for what they are, they are damn near faultless. Star Trek has a great history of posing interesting philosophical questions and this reached it's apex under te captaincy of Jean Luc Picard. Shatner was fun and for baby boomers and those that enjoyed it first time around will probably never be beat. I loved generations when I used to do buckets and other mind altering naughtiness, the combination was great fun. Can't choose between either, feel nerdy enough already discussing it. Must wash brain.
Agreed! Star Wars is great! I was a huge Boba Fett fan until they changed his voice to be a God damned Kiwi from New fucking Zeland!!!

He sounded more 'Dirty Harry' in the original
I always thought the next Star Wars movies should have been completely retooled movies unrelated to the originals...perhaps a more indepth view into the bounty hunters
Maybe it's the rucksack/jetpack finding work in bars thing. Your right tho the Bounty Hunter us a great character and Bobba Fett kicked ass, jah jah binks just was an ass. Binks was like Chris Rock without the jokes suffering from polio. I always thought the character seemed like a bit of a clumsy racial stereotype as tho all black guys should be in the NBA and be stoners. Lando was the way to go he was one cool mutha.
;D I never for the life of me made the Jar jar/ Al Jolson connection but I can totally see it haha!! Ohhhh Mammy.
Nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to the original three Star wars. The prequils were like stealing artifacts from some ancient high chief Indian burial ground. I know Yoda was in ninja mode and we saw the entire wookie culture but it was just....lame. Original Star trek and early Khan for me as well. Did you see some of the yeoman women on that thing?!?! Kirk was full on cheese but that's when acting led the way and cgi was fishing line tied to a model ;D
Jar Jar Binks was more racist than this......

or this....

And hell, they had the Middle East stereotype that owned Anakin Skywalker & his mother...also racist.
I enjoyed Voyager when Seven started appearing in it but did not get into the other franchises like Deep Space 9 etc.
Next Generation was about the only Star Trek I really enjoyed, Jean Luc Picard was far better at playing the Captain than Shatner ever was.
The Original Star Wars was amazing. I had all the toys when I was a kid, the x-wing fighter, AT-AT, Millenium Falcon etc.
If I were to choose between them, then Star Wars wins
You had the AT-AT?!?! You lucky bastard! I had the Millenium Falcon & X-wing Fighter, but other than that I just had the action figures.
Star Trek just seemed so boring when I was a kid, of course now as an adult I can see the draw of it, but Star Wars was so much better, much more action, cooler characters too.

Star Trek......dude, that's Capt. Kirk right there
All I can say is that both of you were spoilt by your parents to have those expensive toys.
I'm a Pack rat and still have everything "toy" wise from all three original movies! A shit load of the large scale action figures, all of it. It takes up bookoo space in the attic of my folks. The real shitty thing is that when they moved and had it all packed, the dumbass Mayflower moving company threw away the original BOXES and used their own:p Been thinking about putting it all on E bay but that def has to kill the $$.
Star Trek TNG is an ATG.
I couldn't really ever get into Star Wars.
"Pa-tew! Pa-tew!......SWOOOOOSH....PA-TEW!.......Matty I totally killed all your ewoks! They are dead!" - Me
"Nuh Uh!!!" - Matty
"Huh Too!!!" - Me
That my friends is how imagination works....you're welcome
I've seen some going in cases and packaging for a decent price but back then I think the old man was more pissed then I was ;D. Its amazing the shate we hang on to looking back. The view masters and slides even ;D, and the Empire-Jedi drinking glass sets put out by Burger king when they came out bahaha!!
Here are some rare star wars action figures.

take that Trekkies!
Vooom, VROOOOSH... THWACK !!
Boba fett, fly's in and with lighting speed and accuracy takes out Lyle's attackers with veritble ease. The Ewoks are avenged................ for now .........
Lyle: "arrghhhh thats sooo unfair, I didnt see that coming"
Matty: " HAHA..... you werent meant to, thats the beauty of being Boba Fett"
Swooosh, and Boba Fett leaves the building.
"No fair, I'm Boba Fett!!!"
Which one of you two is going to be Princess Laila?
"What do you mean, I won't be needing one Spock?"

Update, found a collectors who offered me 1k for a pair of foot tall Jawas with all accessories and only if they had original felt cloak things :-X. Would have been more if still sealed in box :p.
Few years ago found out most of collection was "missing" from Pops attic. Sister swore up and down her boyfriend came in one night when house was empty on a weekend and "one of his workers accidently" piled it into their trucks thinking it was other boxed up stuff being donated. Didn't know it for a year. Low and behold by then "worker friend" had moved away I was told. Peckerwood boyfriend was so so sorry and should have realized. Sis didn't know anything. Mm hmm. Part of me actually wished they were mistakenly given to Goodwill or Swap meet and some random kid got a mint Land Speeder for just .99 cents. Right. Never told my old man about that when I found out. He woulda called bullshat 10 times quicker than I did. Well this took a turn ;D:p. Hey feck it I still have the original Hot Wheel sets and old baseball and nfl cards.
Star Trek isnt Trekky anymore, its as if the latest series has been hijacked for Political propaganda ends much more than Voyager or STNG
Mandalorian is the most Star Wars content since the first 3 Star Wars movies.
I found this re-imagined Darth Vader - Obi Wan Kenobi battle. I was surprised how good it was.

The lockdown since last year had me watching shows I never cared for. Now I actually like Star Trek Next Generation. My boy is Data! whoever he is -he plays the role well. I like the episode where they go on board a ship that makes everyone sex crazed and that dyke looking chick Lt. Tasha Yarde? she got her hair done, wore a I Dream of Jennie-Fuck me outfit and gave it up to Data.;D I'm sure after getting freak by an android sized dildo- with his rpms per minute....regular dick will never do her just!

Check Seven of Nine, she has a body, she is in Star Trek Voyager.
