Arthur's not a particularly technical fighter, and shouldn't prove to be too much of a problem for Quigg. He does have a great engine, and is likely to make it into the last third of the fight at least. Quigg will want the KO if he is really to be impressive.
You are right and I think Arthur is a bigger test for Quigg than Hughes was for Frampton. Will be interesting if Quigg gets a fight with Munroe tho.Quote:

I really feel this was the type of situation where the corner would have been justified in stopping it, but not the ref.
That is a sweet left hook to finish it. Ricky Hatton would be proud of that. Premature stoppage maybe, but great performance by Quigg. Showed composure and quality.
Was Quigg badly hurt when he got dropped?

Personally, I have to say I thought his approach in the first three rounds could easily have lost him all three if Arthur had been more active, and that isn't his kind of fight at all. The knockdown sparked him into a much more offensive plan which suited him and the opponent much more effectively.
If he's going down against Arthur then defence has to be a concern, but I think this sets up the Quigg v Frampton fight nicely. Just puts in another doubt or two about how good Quigg really is, and makes it more attractive for Frampton.
This was the first time I watched him fight. He looked okay beating up a fighter he was supposed to dominate from what I saw, but I only got in half-way through the 6th.Quote:

Quiggs whole approach is built around his usually impeccable defence. He came forward a lot and totally dominated Booth but that is not his usual style, it is an offensive side that Gallagher seems to have helped him develop. Arthur just proved that although Scott covers up well inbetween throwing combinations he is still catchable and needs to work on his counter-punching. His pace is till a great attribute and early on tonight his game plan was all wrong, he needs to learn that in order to dominate fights he must dictate the pace. Respect to Arthur though he obviously trained hard and proved himself a right handful.Quote:

Quigg was on top but the ref stoppage was awful.
You got to at least give him a chance to fight on even if a victory looks unlikly.
Also the fans who paid money to see a good fight.:p
