Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
I just read that he has 120 days to face Rahman who is his mandatory :vd: The last time I saw Rahman he was on a reality tv show and looked to be around 300 + lbs. The man is shot to bits. This has to be a joke, no way this happens. Apparently he took step aside money so Huck could have a go.
Hopefully he'll take step aside money again and a rightful rematch happens. Does Pov vacate (or get stripped) and Huck vs Rahman happen? Is there anyone left alive that still thinks the WBA has an ounce of legitimacy having Rahman ranked #1.

Look lets get the Rahman fight on and out of the way so Holyfield can get his numptenth chance of regaining the Championship!!!!
Job Biscuit (Can you feel my sarcasm)!!!!
eh eh!!!
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Yeah thats absurd, I didn't think Rahman had ebven fought since he played tomato can for Wlad at least a couple years ago:-\ Must be that Rahman is owed a favour by the WBA one way or another.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Perhaps this is some misinformation. Source ?
Seems crazy.

It's true...unfortunately :-\
Boxing - Povetkin must face Rahman within 120 days
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
>Rahman’s #1 WBA rating is a topic of some controversy as the 39-year-old former WBC champion hasn’t faced a world rated opponent since losing to Wladimir Klitschko in 2008.
All my hate
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Rahman pisses me off. He starts getting hammered against Toney and waltzes to a title shot and now fights a bunch of bums and gets another shot. Utter nonsense.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Isn't amazing how many fights Rahman has got off the back of 1 punch! 11 Years on and he is still being talked up for big fights.

This only confirms how utterly worthless the "title" is that he's getting a shot at. Even accepting the absurdity of having more than one title in a single division, any sensible system would have required Povetkin to fight one of the Klitchkos years ago in order to hang on to that belt. There's obviously not a single person in the world who thinks Povetkin is even possibly the best heavyweight in the world.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Why can't James Toney get a shot? He has been giving career worst performances. Surely he is due a shot.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
So Rahman is number 1 contender since 2008 defeat and is even getting step a side money. He must be laughing all the way to the bank. His team must be in with the WBA to get this amount of support to stay number 1 contender. Makes a mockery of the body and the sport.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Even Holyfield is more qualified for this title shot.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Rahman? I thought he was retired or something not number 1 contender. The heavyweight division has become a real joke.

That cannot be true.
I watched a bit of Huck v Povetkin and it was dire and I could not put myself through that torture.

Really ? I thought it was a fun fight. Pretty action packed for today's HW standards.
Povetkin is usually boring and shit to watch, but against Huck he was on queer street half the time so it was exciting.
Re: Povetkin must face...Rahman?!
Holyfield is still an alright boxer. I'd love to see him fight Holyfield. Holyfield beat Valuev, after all.

Huck has no right to have Povetkin on queer street at all. Either Poventkin had taken him lightly and under prepared or he is just bad and very limited.

Povetkin sucks ! lol
He's a pretty good basic fighter, has guts, but really nothing special.
I figure in the 90's Tommy Morrison, Bert Cooper and even Alex Stewart would have whipped him.

Have you guys seen Holyfield recently? The guy is still in terrific shape. ;D
