I hear Ishida is next for Pirog...so Ishida on May 1 in Moscow then unification with Geale in August.
Not sure if the other three guys will have fights before then.
Those are decent fights. At least Pirog is fighting some good competition. Seems like after the Jacobs KO, he went back to Russia and fought a few no names.

I'm pretty high on Trout, but he needs to fight someone on Dzinziruks level so we can tell how good he is.
It would be a great double header. I thought Martinez retired Dzinziruk? I haven't seen him since that fight. Geale and Pirog is a solid match and it will be a good indicator of where they are in the division.
Pirog is taking a warm-up against Ishida in June, which shouldn't be a problem for him considering that Paul Williams dominated Ishida at 154.
I heard talk of Trout/ Mundine, I knew Mundine would punk out!
Who do you think wins between Geale and Pirog?
I know theres a lot of guys on here that like Pirog, but I think Geale beats him

Why should anyone give credit to any organization with rankings that outlandish. If every boxing fan on this site, and every other boxing website, each did a list of today's top 10 HWs, all 4 of them would be on 99% of the lists.
The organizations are a joke. Stop giving creedence to them. What are the belts worth? NOTHING.

I'm really excited about this mainly because I get to see Pirog in action against a boxer of similar talent. I love his head movement and slightly crab like movement.

Dmitry Pirog’s chances of a huge unification bout with IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale in what would be both fighters US debut in August, has been dealt a blow with the news that the WBO have issued the following statement.
Please take notice that pursuant to the WBO Rules, and due to the inactivity of WBO Middleweight Champion Dmitry Pirog who has fought only twice in a 19 month period, the WBO World Championships Committee has sanctioned an Interim WBO Middleweight Championship bout between Hassan N’Dam N'Jikam v Max Bursak on May 4, 2012. The winner of this bout must face the division champion.
Please be aware that on July 31, 2010 Dmitry Pirog became the WBO Middleweight Champion with a TKO 5 over Daniel Jacobs. As he won a vacant title, he had 180 days until his Mandatory due date of
January 31, 2011. However, due to his inactivity, Dmitry was given the opportunity to do a Voluntary bout on March 26, 2011 against Javier Francisco Maciel with a UD12 win. Some 14 (fourteen) months later, on September 25, 2011 Mr. Pirog was successful by RTD 10 in a Mandatory defense against Gennady Martirosyan.
In case the WBO Championship Committee decides to sanction a voluntary defense for the Champion, the winner of the said bout must face the winner of the May 4th bout within 120 days from the date of the last bout, subject to the WBO Regulations of World Championship Contests.
This resolution will be sent to the representatives of both parties and will be posted on our website at WBO | World Boxing Organization – News, Rankings, Forums, Videos
The HBO double-header involving Pirog and Geale and a WBA title bout between Austin Trout and Sergiy Dzinziruk may now need a major re-think or Pirog may lose his WBO middleweight belt outside the ring.
Pirog has looked less than inspired since his KO of Danny Jacobs. I haven't watch any fight of his since there, where I thought WOW that kid has something. I agree Geale could be the one to upset the applecart.Quote:

I agree although it's not like the N'Jikam/Bursak winner is a bad fight. I rank N'Jikam as top 5-10 in the middleweight division. He's a former Olympian etc. However, the upside in facing Geale on HBO is bigger than the upside in defending against N'Jikam. A unification fight with Martinez would be big at the end of the year or early next year.Quote:
