Main Events CEO Kathy Duva has advised BoxingScene.com that both Tomasz Adamek (45-2, 28KOs) and Eddie Chambers (36-2, 18KOs) have signed contracts to fight each other on June 16th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The heavyweight fight will be televised by the NBC Sports Network as part of their Fight Night series.

"Contracts were both signed this afternoon. The fight is on," Duva informed BoxingScene.com.

Chambers returns from a legthly layoff due to several injuries. He was scheduled to fight Tony Thompson in an IBF eliminator last October but withdrew with a lower back injury. He was then scheduled to face Sergei Liakhovich on January 21, and withdrew from that fight with two fractured ribs.

He last fought in February 2011, winning a twelve round decision over Derric Rossy.

Adamek has certainly been the more active of the two. He won a twelve round decision over Kevin McBride in April 2011, and then returned in September to suffer a tenth round TKO loss to WBC champion Vitali Klitschko. He took a few months off and came back last month to win a lopsided ten round decision over Nagy Aguilera.

Gotta agree. In any case dont see him having the fire power to deter Adamek and given the time on shelf don't think the sharpness will be top notch either.

Really glad to see NBC keeping the shows going and though not elite its a nice push on heavyweights last two telecasts.

Nice fights all round!

It's a solid fight between two top ten heavyweights. Chambers and Adamek are small heavyweights--they really are blown up cruiserweights. Chambers has the advantage in handspeed over Adamek with Adamek having the advantage in power and foot speed. It's a pretty even fight honestly.

It will be good fight boxingwise but not very exciting. I'd rather see each of them testing someone who didn't yet have a title shot. Because honestly I belive Klitschkos would like to sign the likes of Helenius, Fury and Pulev, without having them properly tested first.

I like this match up. Gotta agree with the inactivity hurting Chambers and see Adamek by unanimous decision in this 1.

if Chambers can shake the ring rust, and comes in decent shape, then it should be a good fun competitive fight, but seeing how Chambers doesn't have much power I'd pick Adamek by UD

I'm going with chambers to win a comfortable points win if it's in neutral territory otherwise he will be robbed.
He has better skills IMO. Too quick

;D I'll go with Adamek in this one.

I've only seen two of Chambers fight and He got knocked out with a left hook in the latter one. However I've been following Adamek since cruiserweight and if he wins this fight he should really campaign for either Helenius or Price. So he can safely be assumed the best Heavyweight not named Dr Ironfist or STEELHAMMA!

So a career high weight for Adamek and a career low weight for Chambers. Win or lose Eddie should drop the extra two pounds and fight as a cruiserweight.

Nevermind. NBC Sports, says so in the first post.

Hard to know whether coming in that light means Chambers has been training hard, or even possibly lost some muscle mass, depending on how his injuries affected him. Assumng both men show up in good form I've got Chambers to win a fun, competitive fight. He has better skills and should be able to counter Adamek with a lot of success. I also doubt Adamek has enough power to equalize this.

Pickin adamek in this, no reason really other than I like his style better but I've also had a significant amount to drink at this point...

I know this isn't the big card of the weekend but should be a nice appetizer for lee-chavez. this is the first time I'm catchin a card on nbc sports network, looks like they got a nice presentation.

Just started...is this live ? 202 is bad for Chambers. He was better looking like Tony Tubbs part deaux. Like his boxing but Adamek speaks box too and cannot see Chambers breaking is attack. Not a bad card at all really.

Bryant Jennings up first vs Steve 'no, not that' Collins. Jennings should pound on him pretty good. Collins, who looks just like Kenny Keene ??? has a loose mid section made for sponging up leather. Who knows.

Jennings-Collins up first.

Decently competitive fight so far, jennings winning but collins diggin in nice body shots might affect jennings later on

2-1 Jennings. Real nice feet planted exchanges late in third. Collins is a big bull of a dude but those uppercuts are starting to zero in

He's trying but collins is pretty durable and when he gets hurt he seems to recover quickly...to bad looks like this card will go past 11 will have to switch to watchin it on the laptop, after 5 its been fairly one sided but honestly still a decent fight and not like some crazy mismatches we get

Decent dust up and look. Cannot help but think Collins was there late for a standing tko of sorts. Jennings fights heavy on a forward foot and really hope he learns the phrase "put your punches together".

Why does BJ Flores still call himself a champ...does he actually fight anymore :-X

I think the champ title is one of those things that you earn and can never un-earn but as to the fact if he should be called a champ in the first place...well I don't think anyone will refere to themselves as a title-holder when champ will do.

Chambers looks sharp, Adamek seems lost so far.

Armin I'm with ya. Flores is going full blown Lampley here. Adamek really dug to the body and Chambers while shifty and posturing overtime fell short with a few of those "GOOD RIGHT HANDS" :-X
