Crispino & Farhood calling the action for Showtime:
Up first Badou Jack vs. Alexander Brand - Super-middleweights
Somebody's '0" must go.

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Brand looks like a guy who watched a blurry VHS tape of Mayorga and Hamed fights one night and said, shiiit...I can do that :-X
good fight. Sloppy but gritty. Jack needs to find a second level here.

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Any link would be pretty cool. Looking forward to a potentially boring, or explosive, main event.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Brand seems to be outworking Jack, who appears to be rather clueless. Brand very unorthodox, but effective.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
First clear cut round I gave to Jack the 5th. 3-2 Brand. Jack is pretty vanilla in there. Needs some se ond gear and umpf!

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
I bet they give the decision to Jack, just a hunch.

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Jack wins a SD, up next the main = Yudel vs. Willie.

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Good scrap, flip a coin honestly. Jack needs to thin the herd of ring corner fluffers though.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Nelson is a beanpole, especially for a Jr. Middleweight.

Yeah, Jack needs to rid himself of a few clowns. He was fortunate to win tonight.

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Ol' Willie put the stick to Johnson in first. Johnson looks pudgy and need....:o
fat boy just beat to the punch and got dropped!!
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Nice 2nd rd KD for Nelson, after it looked like he was losing the round.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Jack Lowe, in Nelson's corner, used to be Pavlik's trainer/manager.
Nelson ahead on the cards because of the 2nd round KD.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
KD for Yudel in the 4th, the KD's are even, as is the fight.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Ohhhh Lackluster Johnson just dropped Willie Nelson like a slack sack of brown dirt weed :o....He needed THAT. Nelson up and recouped but his chin just failed his gameplan. I got 3-1 Nelson in rounds. Wow!!
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
57-55 Nelson here....both guys can be hurt and should go for it
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Johnson looks like he's reduced to looking for a ko. He just looks...flat. Nelson busier, walking him back and more effective punches...77-73

Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Aside from the KD's for each fight I have Nelson, outboxing/outworking Yudel in most rounds after 9. If he survives the 10th round he should win a UD.
But here again, Jhonson may get a gift on the cards.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Nelsons to lose in this 10th I believe....he's doing everything he wants and when he wants and is on point.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Nelson just schooled the amateur schooler....97-91 here. Not close at all late and the judges got it right!
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Well what do know, the judges finally got one right for a change. Yudel underestimated Nelson, and paid the price, plus Jhonson simply wasn't busy enough.
-
Re: FNF on SHOBOX - for May 11th
Pretty good fights. :thumb:
I like seeing the underdog win when he's not expected to.

Good Showbox last night. Badou Jack has a lot of work to do to get to the elite level. As strange of a style as the other guy in that fight had, forget his name, he eeked out the fight for me, or earned a draw, in what was supposed to be a showcase fight for Badou Jack. The Nelson-Johnson fight was a lot of fun to watch.

Decent fights last night, I wouldn't call it a robbery, but I thought Brand did enough to get the nod over Jack.
As for Willie vs Yudel, that was a watchable fight, 2 KD's, and lots of action. Nelson was busier and more effective, I had him winning 6 or 7 rounds of that 10 round fight. The Cuban Jhonson needs to go back to the drawing board, he relies too much on throwing big bombs with his left hand, and does little else.
