This should be a good FNF. I favor Mayfield by decision, but who knows. I have it recording and will watch it later this evening.

Kessler vs Green is on ESPN3.com tomorrow, likely in the afternoon, I hope Kessler knocks him out.

I don't know if it's true or not but i've always heard that women's softball is nothing but a bunch of lesbos/dikes and ugly ones at that.

Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
i don't care about their sexual preferences. I don't get the shape many of them are in. There are girls who have lifted weights and are built and then you see some of them that are just plain fat. Never understood athletes from any sport being fat. No every athlete doesn't have to be ripped all to hell, but when you look like a sunday softball player, it should be embarrasing.

Sexual preferences aside, I just have no interest in women's softball or women's basketball or women's golf. et al.

Alright, here we go, Teddy and Joe calling the action, Rooney vs Jones a 4 round opener.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Kid Rooney looks like he's wearing roller skates and lost...Jones is very upset minded.

Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Unless Jones get's KO'd in the last round, he has this one in the bag because of the 2 KD's.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Good for Jones. Rooney seems a nice enough kid but he may want to look at boxing like an experiment rather than career.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Up next Nick Brinson vs. Jason Escalera.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Both Brinson and Escalera look to be in good shape, nice scrap.

Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
1 or 2 good body shots would have done him in there.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
I've got Escalera ahead by a couple points.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
neither of these guys is going anywhere long term. How about a draw and a FNF rematch some time.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
A draw, all things considered, that sounds about right.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
no problem with that. wasn't scoring it. But i feel like brimson did well in first half of the fight Escalera came on strong late with the caveman pressure.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Okie, the main up next = Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano, Mayfield is an undefeated up and comer, who uses the same trainer as Andre Ward.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Serrano looking good in the first round, both guys throwing heavy leather, hard to see this one going the distance.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Serrano knocked down and hurt in the 3rd round, but survives the round, good fight.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
wow what the hell was that corner doing?????
lol........
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
not a bad night for friday night fights.
serrano's corner= EPIC FAILURE
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
There was one smart guy in that corner and he was the one calling to stop it...way to brave for his welfare!
-
Corner was ridicileous...thought mayfield would be the one to get caught watchin the first round but he made adjustments

Seems to be like that, no doubt. Irony is he hardy spent one second giving assist-assessment to son in corner and instead made it about himself.
Do like the call of ref and giving him the corner though, but honestly not sure 2 or 3 would have made difference in end.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
I thought the ref should have stopped the fight after the KD in the 4th round, Serrano was out of it. Anyway that was fun fight to watch.
-
Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
Exciting fights.
I thought Escalara came on very strong and should have won the fight. The 7th was nearly a 10-8 round.
A draw wasn't terrible tho.
Great KO by the San Francisco kid. Those Doctors sure messed things up in the corner afterwards along with in fighting from the corner, but as others have said probably didn't matter much in the long run.
Tremendous heart from Serrano to get up from that shot in the 4th.
Also Kevin's Rooney kid fought bravely, but was far too conservative with his punches.

Re: ESPN FNF for May 18th - Karim Mayfield vs. Raymond Serrano
This is on tonight over here, so must be a repeat thanks for the result and commentary.
