He sure is man and just makes me wonder how effin good ward actually is cause he made froch and kess look bad and they both just had great showings.....
More like machine.
He is one of the few fighters that I will actually make time to watch.
Ward is number one in the divison and froch is number 2.
Does ward go up to dawson or does he give froch a rematch..what makes the most money?
Froch is a true warrior who fights anyone in any country.
Old saying, but style make fights.
Froch will always struggle against slick hard to hit fighters. I think we have enough evidence to be clear on that now. (Dirrell and Ward)
I hope Froch stays far away from Ward forever.
Senstational performance, i didnt expect carl to produce such a dominant performance. I hope he fights kessler next
I saw this live.
What a performance.
Now calzaghes record can't touch froch's.
Bute was on his a game but froch has too much speed, power, heart etc
Awesome performance !
It was great to see Froch score the minor upset over the undefeated Bute. Bute's punches didn't seem to hurt Froch at all other than to piss him off. It was suicide just covering up and going to the ropes with Froch, was like blood in the water for a shark.
HE'S FUCKING WORTHLESS CARL !!! ;D
No, but Bute is still a good fighter, just goes to show his level of competition made him look even better than he is. Also needs to learn how to properly clinch.
He had no idea what to do when Froch didn't let him pick his pace and pick his spots. Didn't know how to move, how to turn his man, how to counter. I thought that, the one time he went to the body with the left, that Bute had something to work with, because Froch was inviting that punch. But Bute didn't look to get under Froch's right to throw it.
I've only seen froch once before, and tonight he struck me as a guy that is much more thoughtful than it seems at first. Watch the angle that he would use to throw the right as he came in, and how he's shift his feet to land the left after. He makes it look awkward but he was making some pretty slick moves.
Yes I noticed that too about the right hand. He would step back and plant his right foot then spring in with that right hand with great leverage and power. I didn't notice about the left hook, good eye. And you are right Bute did not like the pressure one bit. I think he was also discouraged when he hit Froch with some of his best shots and Froch didn't budge.
I think Froch has very good footwork and is obviously more than just a brawler as he has been portaid in the past and maybe I will have to watch the fight again but Bute to me didnt even attempt to do much. I think Carl tried to put alot of 'thud' into everyone of his punches and for somone to stand there and not do much to avoid them as Bute did was just asking for trouble.
I dont think he performed any differently tonight than he has in any of his other fights...
ward is a chameleon. against bika he would hit and then hold. against Green he just plain mugged the motherfucker. pushing him against the ropes, pinning green's arms with his shoulder and then landing. Against Kessler, Ward would be all the way out or all the way in. Never at the medium range that Kessler needed. He outclassed Froch.
Kessler and Froch-still very damn good fighters. Kessler and Froch-clearly a class above the rest of 168, with Ward above them.
Carl Froch is a legend. Always fights thes best and always tries to win. 2 defeats were close (Kessler wide on the cards and Ward lose on the cards but in reality Ward was wide too) But if Carl won just one more round teh fight with Ward would have been a draw. Considering his level of comp Carl has done what very few in the history of teh sport have done. Constantly fighting elite fighters back to back.

The Canadians must hate Froch. Twice theyve had unbeaten potentail susperstars and twice Carl has took their zeros in style.
Nobody outside of Montreal gives two shits about Pascal or Bute. I'm a Canadian and I was cheering for Froch - I've been a fan of his for a long time.
Boxing is pretty much entirely dead outside of Quebec anyways, I don't think I've even met another Canadian boxing fan in real life. MMA is huge here though.
I was going to post the exact same thing, I've never met anyone with more than a passing interest in boxing really. I was in Montreal last year when Bute was going to fight Jesse Brinkley -of all no hopers- and saw posters up all over the city, adds on TV etc, I even heard a couple of people mention Bute in the street passing by. This was during the NHL playoffs and all, so it absolutely is a big deal there. Any idea what the last signifigant boxing match that took place in Canada outside of Quebec even was??? You'd probably have to go back to Chuvalo fighting in Toronto or something, it's just not a big deal here and there are no real Canadian born fighters worth a damn that I can think of. Same is true of MMA really; although its popular all over, the only really good fighters I can think of are out of Quebec, no?
The only people here in Vancouver who even know boxing exists are the Filipino Pacquiao fans and the one Indian dude who used to come to the gym wearing his Mayweather - Ortiz shirt.
I've got to get out to Quebec/Montreal one of these days. I have a feeling I wouldn't leave.
Most of Vancouver doesn't seem to know anything else exists;D You should make it to Montreal if you can, it's easily the most fun city in Canada from my experience, albeit limited. I stayed with an old friend from high school who lives right on St Laurent, it was the most fun I've had in years. The rest of Quebec is probably worth a pass on your first visit;), unless you have something in mind of course.
