If Bradley had any class or character
He'd admit he got schooled and lost the fight to Pacquiao. In doing so he would gain a lot of respect from fans and the boxing community. Bradley's worthless WBO WW trinket was given to him by judges who must have watched the fight with their head up their ass.

I'm not saying that Bradley should give the WBO trinket back, just be a man of character and admit that you clearly lost the fight.

ELTerr, I watched Pac-JMM III (I won't get into the others) and thought Pacquiao clearly won it on aggression and effective punching. There was no robbery, however, if some fans believe Marquez won a "close" fight, that's fine they can think what they want.
The Pac -JMM III fight has fuck all to do with Pac-Bradley, which wasn't even close, Pac totally dominated the fight, 92% picked Pac on the HBO Poll and only 7% chose Bradley.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
I think Pacquaio knows deep down he has gotten a decision he knows he shouldn't have in JMM III, that being he isn't making too much of a fuzz about the decision.
Bradley on the other hand wanted it so much it probably kills him to have to admit that he didn't win, even to himself.
Timomothy Bradley is the same guy who punched a guy in a wheelchair, after what would most likely be a couple of years of boxing training...
He did apologize, but damn..

I doubt that Pacquiao thinks that, but it is a bit of a surprise that he was so good natured about losing a fight he clearly dominated.
As for Bradley, I officially can't stand the mo-fo.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
HBO poll on JMM/Pac III by boxing media
Marquez 46%
Draw 42%
Pac 12%
HBO fan poll
Marquez 64%
Pacquiao 29%
draw 7%
20 ringside boxing writers poll conducted by GBP Bill catalan.
12 thought Marquez won
7 had it a draw
And 1 had Pacquiao winning.
I don't see how Pacquiao won that fight clearly, in anyway.

Deep down I'd expect fighters openly admitting they think they clearly lost to be as common as having Unicorns run through my backyard.

I thought Pacquiao 'clearly' won 7 rounds and won the fight by a score of something like 7-4-1, in my mind it was a clear win for Pac. There's been numerous threads here and elsewhere about how JMM was robbed and won the fight and the reasons why so many fans/boxing writers and others thought Marquez won. We really don't need to start another thread about it. :)

On the contrary i am a huge Pacman fan, however i have seen nothing in his past two fights to go fan crazy about. I didn't think he won it, i think more people are upset that we will never see him fight Mayweather now. The Pacquiao loss has stunned people and yet while watching the fight live last week i had this feeling he was in danger of losing by about round 6 or 7. I have stated my case for the Bradley win in other posts, where was the Pacman who destroyed Oscar, Hatton, Margo and Cotto? That fighter has gone awol.
If he fights Marquez again then i believe he will lose for real this time, maybe he thinks that is more honourable than losing to Bradley a 2nd time? Maybe next time Pacman will actually come to fight instead of just banging his gloves together every time he got hit by Bradley, he did that a lot!

I just don't get how there's such a huge difference between the overwhelming majority who saw Pacquiao winning the fight and those in a decided minority who thought Bradley won. I could see it if I thought it was a close fight, but it wasn't close. Forget about what Pacquiao did in that fight and take a look at Bradley who was ineffective except for a few rounds of the fight. Apparently all Bradley had to do to win was throw punches, it didn't matter if they missed or hit Pac's gloves and arms, a light jab that taps Pac on the elbow must be scored the same as one of Pac's power punches.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
Every time someone brings up the Pac-Marquez fights, in an attempt to justify why they think Bradley won this fight...... I have this sudden urge to laugh. Those of you who constantly do this..... do you not know how pitiful that sounds? What in the name of HELL does another Pac fight have to do with this fight? Is that the way fights get scored now? "Well.... Pac got away with murder against Marquez... so naturally, Bradley won THIS fight." What kind of dumbass logic is that? Really.
The other line of defense is to label all those who believe Pac beat Bradley as hysterical Pactards. None of us actually SAW the fight..... we're all talking out of our asses because we're all from the legions of blind Pac fans. How pathetic.
And the polls? All of which show Pac winning by 90%? They're to be ignored. All those damn people are deluded too. It's the other 10% that REALLY know what's going on. Amazing.....
We even have a particular loser in here that didn't see the damn fight..... but he dislikes Pacquiao, and is a self-proclaimed, amateur boxing judge expert/guru..... so obviously that gives him the credentials to say that 90% of the people are wrong. I don't want to call the guy a moron or anything but...... well...... yes, I do.
Hey people..... get a grip. Just 'cause someone truly feels Pac easily won the fight, doesn't necessarily mean he's a Pactard. And to bring the Marquez fights into the argument, well..... that's just not logical. Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but you come off as haters. Pure and simple.
As you were.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
This thread is so stupid. Bradley didn't even claim to have won the in the interviews afterwards, he more or less said he wasn't sure he did, which is perfectly understandable having just gone 12 hard rounds. Why the hell would he now admit to having lost when it would be a detriment to his career? It has nothing to do with his character or class, although he certainly does lack the former. He fought his ass off, possibly injured for much of the fight, and was given the decision. I thought he clearly lost, but to hold it against him for not saying as much is just being spiteful and childish. Bradley getting the nod has nothing to do with him as a fighter or a person, nor does the rematch not happening as seems likely now. I say let him get on with his next fight and prove himself that way, for christs sake.

I think that Bradley is not getting any recognition for this fight due to the controversy, it is not his fault. If Pacquiao had won i wouldn't have been fussed either. IMO it was a close fight and i saw a very different Pacman to the one i have seen pre Marquez 3. The rematch should be made, but i believe Pacquiao is more than a little worried about a similar result next time around? If he fights Marquez and loses he can always say 3 out of 4 ain't bad and a Mayweather bout could still happen! He loses to Bradley again and the retirement village awaits. Bradley V Khan should be on the agenda if the Pacman wimps out on a rematch.
-
Re: If Bradley had any class or character
Agreed on the first part, I didn't think Bradley would be able to hang tough as he did for the first 6 or 7 rounds and I'm also not sure why Manny let up and coasted for so much of the second half.
I don't think Manny is worried about a rematch, and that whatever happens with his career from here on is up to Bob Arum, although Manny should probably catch some flack for always accepting as much imo.
As far as fighting Mayweather I think it's just a shame that didn't happen while Pacquiao was looking like such a monster a few years ago. I don't think he had much of a chance even then, but now it's really not even a fight people need to see. Pacquiao would have no chance whatsoever imo, he may as well fight Marquez again since thats better to watch than a rematch with Bradley.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
Saying bradley should admit he lost is like saying paris hilton should have said " no thanks i belive the jury and should stay here for the full sentence". Like any one else in boxing would do that or better yet get any credit at all for doing so a year from now when all this sillyness blows over. Bradley has absolutly nothing to do with the decision and shouldn't admit shit. If character and honesty is going to start to be a requirement in this sport there'd would be only about three boxers left and probably just as many "honest" fans.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
I do not think at all that this is a vindication for Marquez, he has too much class for such a thing. Moreover as I stated before, a robbery is a robbery and it does not matter if one fighter had received gift decisions previously. What matters is that the right fighter MUST win the fight
Even though I think Marquez won in all his battles with Manny I don't for a single second thing that Manny deserves to get robbed against Tim Bradley (who I like by the way.) The fundamental crime is that a robbery took place and not who was robbed.

I've said the same thing numerous times before, but you're more polite.... so maybe you'll be more successful at getting your point across. I'm a bit more blunt about things, which tends to rub a couple of individuals here the wrong way. Same message, though.

Its like saying that because Morales got a gift in the 1st MAB fight and against Guty Espadas that he deserved to get screwed against Maidana.

Call it whatever you want Jimanuel, I started a thread about Bradley and Maj decides to throw Pac-Marquez in there and tell me to "move on".
I'm good with anyone who wants to challenge my opinions or debate or discuss any thread I start, but if someone is just being a condescending ass, then fuck off. Better yet, don't read or respond to the thread in the first place or start one of your own.

Yup, haters and 14 year old morons like GOAT. I wish Pacquiao would just retire and tell boxing to fuck off.

Re: If Bradley had any class or character
Did Holyfield admit to losing to Lewis when the judges gave him the fight?
No and nither should Bradley.I actually scored the fight a draw and thought it could have gone either way in a close fight. The only person Pacquiao has to blame for the loss is himself for only fighting for the last 30 seconds over every round and thinking it is enough and for taking his foot off the gas in the championship rounds thinking he had the fight won. All the hate towards Bradley from all the Pacquiao fans, the racist remarks and death threats he has been receiving just goes to show how classy alot of Pacquiao's fans are.
-
Re: If Bradley had any class or character
Bradley should not be blamed for the decision, it was the judges that awarded him the fight. No fighter would give titles back even if they admit they should not have got the decision. A rematch should happen immediately and Manny should not fight Marquez until this is cleared up.
