I think Escalera is spitting his piece on purpose but Smoger says fight on..he is really starting to bust up...Escalera given 5 minutes on low blow and walks right back in. Not smart. This is getting gritty inside and Rodriquez looking a bit sloppy now. 4-0 Rodriquez
Rodriquez hurts Escalera badly with temple shot then backs off and does absolutely nothing...he poses, pops right and plays around. Time to close the show...this is HBO.
Good quality fight, so far Escalera is takin' a shellacking from Rodriquez.
Rodriquez has this one in the bag, Escalera would need a KO to win now, I don't think he's won a round and he looks like a beaten fighter.
7-0 Rodriquez...another wide bomb and Smoger waves it off at start of 8th. Escalera was on stilts and short circuited bad. Good stoppage.
Smoger actually got that one right. That's the second time he's done that recently.
I don't see what's keeping Escalera up, Smoger mercifully ends it, 8th round TKO for Rodriquez. Good job.

Clearly he needs to move up already if he's 20 lbs over. HBO has an entire stable of guys doing this now
