What do you think about people.?
What do you think about people, who use a Knuckle duster in a street fight.?
-
Re: What do you think about people.?
I think they need to put a nice dress on and get it over with.
-
Re: What do you think about people.?
Depends on where ya live I guess. Stateside brass knucks went out with the hullahoop. No one can have a decent fisticuffs without someone going for a gun.
-
Re: What do you think about people.?
I always though knuckledusters would hurt the guy wearing them too. If i was in a fight I would use padded gloves so as not to damage my hands but cause damage to the prat trying to dare challenge me.
-
Re: What do you think about people.?
That they're smart.
Obviously come well prepared.

Our family car has a knuckle duster right across the front its called a bull bar, the car wins the fight.

Bull bars are all very well where there is a risk of large animal impact but in cities they seem like a dangerous and unnecessary accoutrement. It is like the volvos of old that had Steel reinforced chassis so that if you hit it or hit you whilst on a motorcycle it wouldn't give at all and basically you ended up as human passata. Crumple zones are much more bike and pedestrian friendly.

Re: What do you think about people.?
I don't really believe in street fights, so those guys must be worse.

Yes but because Miles does not believe it then it does not happen in his fantasy land.

Re: What do you think about people.?
I was in a pub once with my 6 year old playing pool and my retired dad and this guy wanted to fight me and was being held back by his friend. I ignored him, which was the best thing to do considering who I was with and carried on playing pool. If he did manage to come over I would have wrapped the cue stick over his head.

There is an old Aussie expression that can cover the whole scope of fortune and misfortune..
If you win something for instance some old people sometimes will say "Well now, thats better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick isnt it".
Same if you catch the flu..
Yours being the case 'in point' for the fool picking on you when you had a pointy stick.
:) just sharing

Re: What do you think about people.?
Not at all, Bikers are fine. bikies are not.
What did you ride? I had a Kawasaki 350 triple to start,It used to keep up with 750 fours!until the top end. then I had a 1975 honda 750 to match my mates then a Kawa 750 triple the two stroke evil one the H2 mach 111.
Kawasaki triple - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I came off and wrote it off did a full double twisting somersault in the air still seated and landed on my spine then on the second hit pushed the motor through the bottom of the tank so the bike banana'd from the ground up, all cause I was stupid enough to drag a car that tried to cut me off and eventually got cut out of a hair pin bend by them going too fast. (so cant blame them really I should have stopped let them go on their way).
So you got hit by someone with a bullbar! :o Ow. Or was it an old Volvo? Cars only give so much and you bounce off them eventually but you must have got some wicked bone breaks then mate?

Re: What do you think about people.?
Scum and a Coward
And from a legal point of view Idiotic, whatever happens in the fight they are going to get screwed if it goes to court.
Using a weapon is an easy way of say I am going to hit you with my right hand first, easier to counter.
For self defense you want something with range eg baseball bat, truncheon ect
And if somebody did attack me with one, I would eye gouge the SoB, no remorse for cowards like that.

You will be happy to hear that I am not actually a jar of pesto and that my youthful dalliance with bikes never resulted in any major accidents. I have fractured all three bones in my left Arm whilst practicing jujitsu on concrete..doh! But have never been hit on a bike with a bull bar. One folded the back of my hatchback up like someone sitting on an accordion though and that mucked me back up for a couple years.
You sound like a lucky man Andre with your bouncing off motors. My step dad once landed his car in a tree fell out and started walking to work with concussion, some guy picked him up on the side of the road took him to A and E and found out had busted ribs and arm etc :-P

Re: What do you think about people.?
Yeah more than lucky, blessed Id say :).
You reminded me, a mate of mine in state school his older brother went missing for a few days, big news back in the 60"s in a semi rural area, he'd got clipped by a car and just wandered off into the bush with concussion, they found him ok after about 3 days but he still didnt know which way was up for a week or so.

Sounds just like me, I would go out the house on a Friday night, and return 1 or 2 days later or sooner
in a stupor, or if I had run out of beer money.:drinker::lolhaha:

Re: What do you think about people.?
I'm with Tricky if you really must have a street fight turn up in a dress
1. It scares the krap out of your opponent
2. It then humiliates them even more when you kick their arse
3. if it all goes Tits up you can blame the fact you lost on wearing a dress

Drop that into a Beefheart style warped backbeat tune and you are on the money.
