Been seeing this. He's not going to break Kittingers jump but being able to say you lived at the literal edge of space is pretty fuckin cool!!
today's attempt cancelled.
and i believe he will break kittinger's record if his jump is successful.
Bump he is up in the Sky now folks
For those in the US, they are showing it live on The Discovery Channel right now. He's on his way up.
Glad they are underway!! Not sure how many have seen this but its a great shot on Kittingers third jump some 52 yrs ago!

God knows when he is going to do it though
It's one of the few times where I can shout "Jump" at someone and not feel a little bit guilty.;D
Watching it right now!
Cant really understand why he should jump? It's just a world record daah :)
Wish him best of luck anyway!

Edit*
Ah man have to share this! Someone wrote;
Are they going to have another Roswell UFO Incident at New Mexico with a weather baloon...?
Had me rollin'! cheers!
very cool
Did he break the sound barrier then? Was cool to watch.
He was not in freefall as long as Kittenger but obviously jumped from higher, so I am assuming when we saw his parachute deploying it was an automatic safety feature to ensure he slowed down in time or something?
bit of a worry when he started spinning
God I was really nervous for him once that door opened. I don't know how he didn't shit his pants when he stepped out onto that step. :-\
Sucks that he didn't get the longest free fall, but I'm glad that he broke other records.
That was outstanding, standing in the doorway his pucker factor was probally off the chart ;D

amazing footage of Kittinger's record breaking jump!
Amazing and he had all these beautiful lines at the press conference, seemed so humble if a bit overly rehearsed.
One giant leap for man.... one small step for mankind ;D
hmmmm - he demonstrated gravity
Newton didn't get this much coverage in the 17th centrury......
