Do you believe in ghosts?
I can't say that I do myself. The notion of a ghost is a little like God except that ghosts seem infinitely more believable, but in saying that my belief in ghosts lays at a relatively low 0%. When I was a kid I was more open to the idea and would sometimes frighten myself with my imagination going wild on too much fiction. As I got older though I found that nothing would happen when pacing the pitch black fields or when I would turn out the lights. No weird sounds, no changes in temperature, no strange apparitions. All a total nil. As an adult I am realizing all the things that made childhood bearable all amount to nothing and thus there are no ghosts either (well except for that sarcastic one with the creepy smiley thing).

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
We are all electromagnetic particles of energy compressed down into matter. One form passes away and decays, the makeup and basics to it all is changeable in form but absolutely indestructible. Even Science backs that 100%.
Matter can be limited to the material, Energy isnt; thats why one sees only itself and its likeness from one chosen point of experience. Energy is more than one view point.
You can choose. Life is free choice and we do stand in and on our core belifes and everything is experienced from right there at that point. Its up to you though if you want to slowly expand your consousness or compress your experience further into the material.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
Define the word 'ghost'.
(attention: super-dooper eloquent speliacist snob and advocat-jongleur...)

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
A ghost is one of them creepy things that haunts places. They scare the willies out of children.
It is quite hard to define something that doesn't exist. Like God. What the heck is that all about? Bloke with a big beard on the wall of the church? Could just as well be the Grandaddy drummer.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
No I do not believe in ghost or anything ‘super natural’, I think there are a lot of things we do not fully understand as Andre says but ghosts of dead people is not one of them. However they could be the energy of dead people but I have not seen any. :)

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
Seems like an ok guy. Don't know if he can actually walk through wall but if he believes..it's a start ;D
really though, I hope they exist. I'm already plotting some serious drama on a few people in particular when I go.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
Never seen nothing , take it from me I deal with the dead every working day, remember my friends
the dead will no harm you, the living one's give you the trouble.;D

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I thought them pure nonsense till I saw one about eight years ago. Now I believe. Can't be arsed typing the story out .
In fact I am certain I posted the full tale on here a couple of years ago when someone started a similar thread.
Yes they are real. The end

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
You could have two people in the same place and one could be in sync or even just momentarily day dreaming like his brain is in neutral and see stuff and even hear stuff that the other person whos maybe more materially immersed wont see or hear.
You cant electromagnetic energy or even molecules or particles, all the time, but they exist.
One form of the energy -Electric, is invisable its also live and it can kill you. People have no trouble believing in that form of it.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
I am inclined to believe Dia who surely would have more opportunities to have seen some than anyone else. Who wants to believe in a world where there are so many blurry smudges anyway. I think it is more romantic to simply live life and not worry about what happens after.
That said I would not mock anyone who believed they had seen such a thing. I have been in several situations where people have insisted that they saw something and nobody else in the room did. On each occasion the "believers" saw something and the "sceptics" nothing.

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
My parents told me that a shop in London in the late forties or early fifties had to close cause a poltergeist was throwing stuff around. They recon you could hear the stuff being hurled around even after it was closed, a priest had to go in and do the job on it and that was the end of it apparently made the papers, cops, everyone knew about it.

Beanz I have never seen any thing, in working in a CREMATORIUM FOR 34 YEARS, why are lot's of people fearful of the dead.! I don't mock anybody who believes , just take the word of some one who's
been there I got the badge. Never seen heard anything sorry to disappoint, but it's the truth.;)

People don't die in crematoriums (unless they are murdered or by accident) so why would a ghost hang around one?
I am not saying there are ghost and I am not saying there are none. (Not having seen one, but myself)
But I will keep an open mind about the subject. (Have not seen a fly's penis either, but they must have one)
