Other than losing any good faith amount you put forward nothing else should happen
nothing should happen apart from pissing off whoever's house you where going to buy.
happens all the time but its a pisser and can be expensive if your the one its happening to.
so my advice would be to give whoever its gonna effect as much notice as possible because karma can be a bitch ;)

How far into things are you? Are you buying a house?
As long as you haven't exchanged contracts on the house, you are free to do what you want.
You would lose any money paid for surveys and things though.

Yeah you can pull out, but you would lose the survey money and also the money you've paid to your solicitor for the disbursements.
Woolwich shouldn't take two weeks to get back to you, should be two days tops! They are working quite quick at the minute, one of the faster lenders.
If you aren't getting on with mrs and are probably going to break up, it's probably best not to buy a house. Potentially you'll move in, then break up and in the commotion mortgage might not get paid. Your then screwed for years if you ever want another mortgage.

Was all exiting at first then It became a full time job having to get all sorts of account info, statements then they pulled out so woolwich said ok we want 1 years worth of your dads business accounts with nothing blacked out.
How long have you been self employed for? That could be what's causing your problems.
So is the problem you not being able to get a mortgage or having second thoughts about your partner and don't want one?
is the recent arguments not just caused by the stress of getting and being declined on a mortgage?
my advice would be pull the plug on it now mate if you don't want to move in with her.. don't just go thought the motions leaving it to the mortgage gods.
but if your just worried about them pulling out on you again don't be as there are plenty of other ways to get a one and plenty of houses that are "the one" and I'm sure 0james0 will be able to point you in the right direction.
