Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
Let these two duke it out.
Whoever losses leaves boxing forever.
Kimbo wins in the first round at 2:46 seconds after the second knockdown.
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
I think Audley would have to be a heavy favorite against a 37 year old who is still fighting 4 rounders.
But, from what the Brits say Audley is a big timid pussy so its anyone's ball game !
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
What the hell is a kimbo slice? Sounds like a cocktail...
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
Has Audley decided to carry on? He did look in good condition but his chin is so weak any fighter would fancy there chance.
-
Audley told sky sports he will have one more fight before calling it a day.

Became an internet sensation from making videos of doing bare knuckle backyard fights. Parlayed that into a MMA career that was disastrous and highlighted with a win over Ray Mercer. Once it became obvious he had no chance in MMA he decided to start boxing.

What does that say about boxing? That it is easier?
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
I want to caveat that I'm in no way suggesting boxing is easier but that is the chain of events.

Kimbo should have choose boxing first. Either way, his stamina is the pits and they both need each other at this stage.
-
Or Roy jones vs audley Harrison lol
The belt could be called the crossroads title!

He stands a punchers chance is all. Its all he had anyway.
But getting booted in the knee and thigh distracted his already plodding game.
The man is top heavy when he moves anyone one who can move correctly in Mma or boxing should be able to pick him apart he turns blindly into things too.

Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
Harrison is absolutely terrible, but he's still destroy Kimbo

He mugged MMA fans by bringing the hype of his youtube videos to them and milking it for all he could before he was exposed.
Now that they've seen through that he's doing the same with boxing. Milking what little hype he has left.
As for what it says about boxing - if Andrew Hartley and Charlie Zelenoff can get carded then so can Kimbo... He's barely fighting above that level.
He went for MMA first because there he was an unknown quantity - along with half the bodies and guys he fought... So it was easier to make more money before hitting any legit competition (as far as hype goes - dana still let him on ufc after what was a dire career)
In boxing he was and is a nobody, last chance saloon now... Can't blame the guy for milking what little interest he has left against club fighters.

Well thats not entirely accurate, it seems some boxing fans want to remember Kimbo's mma career as a total bust or something, but it was not.
He won an exhibition against Ray Mercer but that was probably his weakest win next to Tank Abbott.
In Kimbo's first pro mma fight he ran right over former Gladiator Challenge Champion, Bo Cantrell.
He also had a bloody war beating Britain's own James "Collossus" Thompson, who is a pretty good top 20 ish in the world heavyweight, who holds wins over Don Frye, Bobby Lashley and Bob Sapp.
Furthermore Kimbo beat top 10 205lber Houston Alexander in a boring fight.
And 2 of his 3 losses came against world class UFC heavyweights. His other loss against Seth Petrezelli which was embarassing as the smaller man caught him with a glancing blow on the chin.
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
He's meant to be fighting jones jr in december from what I hear...
-
Harrison would be terrified of him. Fact.
-
Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
Whilst Audley would be scared to take the fight he will not be scared or embarrassed to pick up the pay cheque.

Good points he isnt all bum hate that style though, if Audley is scared and forgets his training, Kimbo could roll right over him early on.

Re: Kimbo slice vs audley harrison
Its so awful Im ashamed to say I would want to watch :lickish:
Be intresting to know how much old Kimbo has made out of his fighting career. I bet not as much as Audley who is an absolute coward :(
Audley might just be able to beat Freddie Flintoff

Your trying to make Thompson and Alexander sound like world beaters! ;D
Thompson was well past it when he fought Kimbo. Even when he was in pride he couldn't string together a decent set of wins.
When was Houston Alexander ever in the top 10? Never!!!!
Mind you I would pick him over Audley.

Actually Houston was top 10 in the UFC after his back to back wins over Jardine and Sakara, but then was Ko'd against Thiago Silva and well that was pretty much the end of his significance in MMA, he went 1-3 going into the Slice fight, 2 of his losses by KO and a submission loss all in the first

There you go. I forgot about freddie.
This would be interesting. If audley fought and lost to freddie then he has no option to leave the game.
It would be a fight he would be interested in as its less risk and if freddie wins a few fights we could be looking at mid 2013 for audley to get another pay cheque

Fair enough, you know mma better than some snobs on here ;)
Since his loss to Kimbo years ago, Houston has strung some wins together including steam rolling over Sokodju, another former top 10 fighter.
The point is that the belief that Kimbo's mma career was a bust or total wash is completely false and misleading.
Also, James Thompson was not past his prime or over the hill against Kimbo, he just beat Bobby Lashley this year ! I like James Thompson as well, talked to him on twitter a few times, funny bastard.
Kimbo did pretty good in mma for being an over 30 street fighter with a bum knee when he began his mma career.

I disagree, his highlight was beating Houston Alexander in the UFC. Say what you will but the guy can say he beat a legit UFC fighter. Not a lot of people can say that. :P

Agreed Houston was a bad man when he beat Jardine that was savage.

I agree Kimbo's MMA career was not a total bust. But in no way was he ever a top caliber fighter nor should he ever have fought in the UFC.

Sokoudjou or Sokodjo or however ya spell Terry's last name, was a top ten fighter about the time he was in the UFC fighting Machida. If he wasn't in the top ten at that time, he was damn close.
I did watch the Lashley vs. Thompson fight in its entirety and while it was sloppy and both men were gassed, it was a pretty good fight. Good action in the 3rd round. Really could have gone either way.
Yes thats my point that Kimbo was not a total bust and had a couple of quality wins. Never said he was a top caliber fighter.

Kimbo done okay in his mma career.
What stays in everyones mind is that powder punch from seth.
That was the softest KO i have ever seen.

Shame they weren't over quality opposition. :-X
As far as I can tell he wasn't top ten at the time he fought Machida and got chocked. None the less if he was it hardly has any relevance considering he fought Alexander three years after that and had gone 5-5 in his last 10.
And I can confirm Alexander was not a top ten fighter!
To the main point Kimbo at hand looking at Kimbo's 4 wins they all came over fighter who were past there best. And his two loses came at the hands of a UFC reject and a NFL player.
But having more wins than loses 4-2-0 is a success in its own right. :)

Actually Houston was top 10 in the UFC after his back to back wins over Jardine and Sakara, but then was Ko'd against Thiago Silva and well that was pretty much the end of his significance in MMA, he went 1-3 going into the Slice fight, 2 of his losses by KO and a submission loss all in the first
Fair enough, you know mma better than some snobs on here ;)
Since his loss to Kimbo years ago, Houston has strung some wins together including steam rolling over
Sokodju, another former top 10 fighter.
When was Sokoudjou a top ten!? Where have I been when all this was going on? :o
Comon mate did you see Thompson vs Lashley? For a start Lashley was just a hype train people though if Brock can do it Lashley can. Not the case. That fight was terrible they were both gassed from the first bell! The fact it was an SFL fight tells you all you need to know!
Yes thats my point that Kimbo was not a total bust and
had a couple of quality wins. Never said he was a top caliber fighter.
They were quality opposition relatively speaking, as I said.
I find it hard to believe Houston Alexander was NEVER a top ten fighter in any ranking, Yahoo Sports, mma junkie or otherwise, especially after crushing Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara, but I"ll take your word for it.
Not my fault you weren't watching mma back then my Johnny come lately little mma authority friend. ;D;)
Roy Nelson isn't a UFC reject by any means, and he also beat Kimbo, but not before Kimbo rocked him on TUF.

Well thats not entirely accurate, it seems some boxing fans want to remember Kimbo's mma career as a total bust or something, but it was not.

Roy Nelson is a little better than a "good fighter".
I'd count his loss to Nelson just as some count his win against Ray Mercer.
I've learned you are a know it all cheeky bastard ;D
I can tell you begrudgingly agree with me on the decency of Kimbo's mma record, but your condescending nature won't allow you to agree 100%.
Thats alright, I'll settle for a 70% agreement.
