Michael Koncz & BuBoy Fernandez of Team Pac attack photographer (pictures inside)
Was reading this earlier and while a photographer was taking pictures of Pacquiao on the canvas he was attacked by Pacquiao advisor/Manager Koncz as well as Pacquiao friend and assistant trainer BuBoy Fernandez...
He said it began when Roach asked him not to take a picture which caught the attention of Koncz & BuBoy and in turn they began to punch and kick him...
(Freddie Roach never touched him and Roach also apologized to him for asking him not to take pictures)
The photographer was advised to contact the authorities but he said he wont and all he is looking for is an apology from them.
Koncz was contacted with calls and he did not return them. Then he was contacted by text which he responded with "Not an assault it was just a simple misunderstanding" when he was told their was pictures of the attack he never responded back. ;D
Keith Kizer the exec director of the Nevada Athletic Commission said he will investigate the situation and consider penalties against Koncz & BuBoy.
Funny how while Pac sparked out opponents the worst being Hatton they didn't have any problem while photographers took those pictures... That's what I call sore losers.

Don't know how many times I've said this but I hate the EVERYONE rushes into the ring after a KO...
I think whoever is in charge of security on the ring needs to address this at events with promoters/managers and the Teams of each camp.
The 1st people that should be there are the ring doctors. That's their job they are the experts. Then the team should be allowed to enter once the doctor has done his job.
After that let the rest of the people hop on.
No fucken 100 people rushing the ring all at once...

Just because you are a photographer does not give you the right to be everywhere or do anything you want.

The photographer had the proper credentials to be there.
They are not allowed to go INSIDE the ring but ARE allowed to be on the ring.
He wasn't the only one there taking pictures.
And by the way I agree with you on not letting everyone get in there. It's what I just said in the post above yours.
However again this was a photographer who wasn't breaking any rules or anything.
He was doing what 40 something other photographers were doing.

I agree I think it was just instinct to protect Pacquaio rather than anything else.

Well that's the guy's job. There's a freedom of press, and he had the right credentials to be there. He didn't deserve to be assaulted by some hot-headed idiot.

People have to remember that buboy and pac go way back. Oh snap...if out rhymes it's real. Lol. Nah, but serious though...if my friend that I knew for pretty much all my life, I would of done the same. Protect my boy from everything else that's going on.

I guess I never really stopped to think that taking a picture of someone who had been violently rendered unconcious was offensive.
I bet the camera man was thinking "if I could just get a good shot of his face..."

The same guys where snapping pics of Hatton, Cotto, ect after Manny steamrolled them.
He should be more worried about all the dummies who storm the ring while the doctors are trying to work instead of some camera guy on the apron.

Every fighter with one of these massive entourages of hangers on, rah rah boys and team members create a possible incident where emotions are raw and nerves freyed. You don't need 20+ guys around you, you just don't. Before and after the fight it needs to be kept in check.
Photo journalists go through a process and have credentials to document the event..be it a guy named Dusty Trunks or Manny Pacquiao. Its a public specticle and what happens in the ring is fair game so if you can't keep your composure and need to start kicking people off the 'outside' of the ring sit your unstable pouty arse in the seats.

@Second2None it could have been his mom and it still wouldn't make a difference. The photographer wasn't trying to kick him or hurt him. He was simply taking a picture of him.

@Spicoli I'm sure you remember the days when it was the trainer, the assistant & the cutman maybe one of his kids oh can't forget the towel & the bucket. But that was about it.
Now guys wanna take 5 people working the corner, his boy from elementary, an artist, his manager & co manager, his barber, his pastor and the guy who dry cleans his clothes. It's fucken ridiculous.
