Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
From these 5 specifically who do u have in what Order ?
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Pacquiao 1st, Hamed Last, the middle is a good debate.
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
I actually have Morales higher than manny, i felt his opponents were tougher in his prime than compared to pac and has a MUCH Stronger resume than manny who i felt he fought big names but who were on a down period, even the weight class stuff im more impressed with Eriks Four overall, he always fought the younger guys which i give the oldman credit for..
i dont know if i have Barrera ahead of Marquez
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Marquez
Pacquiao
Barrera
Morales
Hamed
with the last two being interchangeable

I agree. With Pacquiao's record and accomplishments it's hard to place him anywhere but the top. IMO
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Pac
Marquez
Barrera & Morales (cannot be spilt!! If ever there were 2 even fighters it's these 2)
HAMED
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Pacquiao
Marquez
Morales
Barrera
Hamed
After Morales having success in a comeback I can't have Barrera above him. Erik was badly robbed in the Diaz fight too. Should have been a 5 weight world champ.
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Naz
Marquez
Pac
Barrera
Morales
Naz is clearly no.1 - he's the only one that unified a division by beating every other "world" champ in his weightclass. His only "loss" was due to a shocking inept display of officiating (Barrera should have been disqualified in the 12th round for violent conduct). And he was never knocked out (only Marquez can match him on this, however, he's been on the floor more than Naz).
It's not even close. Fact.

Got to admire the dedication to the cause lol.

When you put it like that how could one argue?

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Pac-Marquez (Pac's record is better, I think Marquez is the better fighter all round)
MAB
Morales
Hamed
It's hard to know where to really place Hamed (at the bottom, or not even on the list! Which one? ???), he only faced one of the other guys on the list.
I dunno, he missed all but one of his main rivals and the one who he did fight schooled him stupid. That's the only real grounds for comparison that we've got. Anything else is speculation.
We can give credit for unifying a division, but how much depends on whether you place more value on alphabet titles - or the level of talent holding them.
Maybe if he'd been able to gain 2lbs to take Mayweather's offer of 128lb then we'd have more relevant fights for comparison. I know he is the type of guy who struggles to put weight on, but surely his ungodly heavyweight power should have made 2lbs nothing.

I love the way VD keeps bias out of the equation with his decision making.

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
OFFICIAL RESULTS ON NASEEM HAMED:
So far our distinguished voters have seen it this way on Hamed, from a list with 5 fighters:
5th place: 6 voters
1st place: 1 voter
Notes:
1. One voter didn't even mention Hamed, which could be interpreted as a vote for 5th place.
2. One voter placed Hamed 6th, even adding a name to the list and further dropping Hamed.
The results speak for themselves, gentlemen.
:deal2:
Yes......... I'm afraid we're all wrong.
;)

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
1. Barrera
2. Morales
3. Pacquiao
4. Marquez
5. Hamed

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Even though I thought Marquez won the first three fight, in terms of pure accomplishments there are no doubts that Manny is number 1, as for 2 to last. Hamed last the three mexicans a tie for 2nd place :D
-
I would rank them by how many belts held at one time

Three more votes....... three more Hameds in 5th place. Update as follows:
5th place: 9 voters
1st place: 1 voter
With one "no mention" and one 6th place.
No middle ground with Naz as far as that list is concerned.

Pacquiao
Marquez
Barrera
Morales
Hamed

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Can Naz really be place amongst those guys? All of those guys have lost or been down but continued on to be great.
Naz lost once and quit.

Bias would of had Barrera over Pacquiao. Clearly not the case
-
Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
I think Naz has a punchers chance in any fight and he was pretty slick. My doubt is when he gets hit (and I know he will get hit by these guys), will he have the heart like JMM had to come back and box?
Too bad he quit and never really prove more. What a waste.

Exceptional question. I'll start with Morales and a small view.
Generally boxing fans have short memories. Part of this instant gratification world we live in.
I can’t think of to many guys in history that would have beaten Morales at 122 although I did think that Mab won the first fight which was at that weight
Not quite as dominant at 126 but pretty close. And I also think that Erik won the second fight against Mab which was at that weight.
At 130 I saw a slight change in Morales even though he did quite well at the beginning but the 122 or 126 Morales would have never let the one armed Chavez of the hook. This Morales beat Manny at 130. Imo Morales went off the cliff in that fight and the Zahir fight sustained that for me.

I dont know, I think EM was not motivated in that Zahir fight. He turned up the heat in the end and dominated but way too late to win a decision. I think he was done in, in the second fight with Pac. The third fight he seem to know he was no longer up to the pace Pac would set.

Fair enough. I think Morales killing himself to make 122 caved him in at 130.

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Thinking about it, I realize none of these guys got sparked out like Pac did. Pac got stopped three times, two by less accomplished fighter and one by one of the greatest counter punchers after going at it for 40 + rounds.
Having said that I guess nobody went at it as hard as Pac did. With the most guts and glory, I think pac takes this hands down. Dude took on Mab, JMM and Em in order. Sure he went 1-1-1 but who the heck does that? I miss that golden era, Pac sporting Fearless logo with the flame shorts. LEGEND!

Naz
Pac

Hold on there just a second there Julius. Naz lost to Barrera yes, but he didn't just quit. He came back to beat the all time great that is Manuel Calvo. If you'd beaten Manuel Calvo, you'd know that you have nothing left to prove in your career. So in all honesty, where else would Naz go apart from retirement? He achieved something great there.

Don't shoot the messenger...... just saying it like it is. :)

Re: Where do u place Morales Hamed Pacquiao Marquez barrera from each other?
Hameed was a show off and a bully.....but entertaining
Hameed knew is time was up many hours b4 lacing up his gloves to face MAB
His winners mentalaity wasn't what it should have been and retired.....he lost his edge....that is the lasting effect we will all have of Naz.....abit like Tyson (the school yard bully)....if you stand up to the bully the bully will back off.....it only takes that one defeat to dought yourself....Naz knew this and retired......shame cause IMO it was like unfinished business.....yes MAB had his number but Naz could have gone on to future glory.....We will never know!!!
Job Biscuit (LEGACY)!!!!
eh eh!!!

Ah-ah-ah.... the numbers speak for themselves.
I did not coerce, persuade, bribe, or in any way, shape or form try to influence the voting.
Thus, the validity of the vote stands.

There is no right or wrong answer to the question posed.
Therefore, your poll also indicates that two people - Fenster and Eric - are innovative free-thinking boxing intellectuals and nine people are mundane blatant haters. Fact.

These are only partial results.
We still haven't gotten Naz's mum or other relatives to weigh in on the matter.
50/50 chance they won't have him 5th.
