Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Meaningless fight and without hesitation, I would say that Mosley wil smoke Pauli off his boots with his power and that Pauli, because of the lack of any thunder in his fists, will simply get bullied all night long till he eats a piece of the canvas.

Mosley is not what he used to be and Pauli is brimming over with confidence so don't count "Mr patti-cake" out too fast.
Mosley is 41 now and boxing is a young mans game.

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Badness. I'd expect Mosley to win even being such a ruin, but it won't look good. If Malignaggi doesn't at least try and make a fight of it though, this could be a huge stinker.

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Doing my best to not go negative here. But man this fucking sucks! Horrible 'event' put together with duct tape and a misguided thought that Mosley still has a 'name' that makes fans sit up straight. It really is a who cares fight. Shane, retire!! Enough already dude. Paulie, give Cano a rematch and btw I like you on the mic. Then again its not really his option to make is it.
And who said we wouldn't finally get to see Mosley vs Mora II..:-X This is one I won't watch.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Mosley giving it one more shot .... I don't see him winning this ... just a bad idea
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
It would be funny as hell if Paulie knocked out Shane.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
No thanks. Its simply time for someone younger to have a go at winning.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
WTF just when you thought you had been all WTF'd out by the preposterousness of Boxing decisions, corrupt promoters and their compliant network bitches along comes a new monstrosity to pour scorn on those in and around the sport who have some kind of decorum and dignity. Shane will soon be getting to the stage where he has to be metaphorically dug up and have some new limbs attached by Dr Frankenstein before he can compete. Still I will probably watch as I have always had a soft spot fro Mel Brooks Movies. Sugar Shane to win by TKO after the barber stops the brave lycra wearing superhero from donning his cape and rising from his stool late on.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
I think it's an interesting fight, but one that boxing can do without. Paulie should be able to outbox Shane, who can't seem to pull the trigger any more. He'll be getting jabbed all night.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Shane "UN-retired"??
Wow.... I didn't see that coming.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Shane should win this. Even at 41 he can beat Paulie. Just hope he doesn't keep fighting after this one. End on a high.

Um he hasn't won a fight since 2009

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Paulie slaps his way to a UD. Mosley is too old, and has trouble pulling the trigger.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Paulie by decision. Shane hasn't got it any more, he was right to hang them up. Paulie just needs to stay away and he wins this.

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
The great fighters like Shane never like to go out on a good note which is such a shame. The fight will be a stinker, Shane is slow and prefers to fight aggressive fighters.
This version of Shane will get out boxed but it interesting different posters having divided opinions on the fight which means we will all want to watch.

Malignaggi is no joke
Shane sans PEDs at welterweight who hasn't won a fight in 3 years is nothing special. He will get his face carved up and possibly even TKOed.

Paulie is going to win this. Even though he looked rubbish last time out Mosley is finished.

His face carved up? Have you ever seen powder puff Paulie fight?

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
I've seen him and he's not that light of a puncher
Still can do enough to do damage
Mosley has looked horrible and hasn't won anything since 2009 ... and he's coming off straight beatings from Pac and Canelo

Shane has never been KO'd or TKO'd. He has only ever lost to the top guy's Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Alverez, Forrest. You think Paulie is the guy to KO him?
7 KO's in 32 fights..your a tit.

I agree.
But i think what tysonbomb is trying say that at this stage this is the best chance anyone has today to ko mosely.
Paulie is not the one..but who knows he might tire mosely out with his workrate and nazim retire shane in the 11th.

Nazim won't train him anymore, that's how you know he shouldn't be fighting again. He's gone back to his dad.

Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
Paulie got himself a title by working hard and having the guts to go overseas and fight. He did hope to parlay that into a final big money fight with Ricky Hatton in the U.K., but Hatton lost to Senchenko.
So this is the next best thing. Mosley wants one more title and sees lil Paulie as beatable and Paulie wants Mosley's name on his resume and the money.
Before the Cano fight I would have picked Paulie without hesitation due to his youth and speed and durability compared to Shane being shot. But, now I think Mosley may have a chance, still picking Malinaggi though.

At least nazim keeps it real.

I think as a "welterweight champion", Malignaggi is in fact a joke presently. He has absolutely no power, there isn't a chance in hell he can hurt Shane with anything. I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to jab and dance his way to an ugly decision, but that rests entirely on Shane having absolutely zilch. If Mosley can rub a few brain cells together and actually throw more than a few nothing shots a round, I don't see how Paulie beats even such a ruined version.
-
I reckon Paulie will box to a decision because he's a lot fresher. I still reckon he can get a few more wins in this division. I would like to see him up against the winner of Alexander-Brook if he gets through Mosley.
-
Re: Shane Mosley vs Paul Malignaggi
lol you guys must've forgotten the beatings he took from Canelo and Pac ... at age 41 I think he can be stopped, even though he's shown an excellent chin in the past I don't think it will hold up much longer. He's been through a lot of battles and wars and has aged and lost his physical gifts.
I said a late TKO is possible so don't get your panties in a bunch. Mosley has looked abysmal ever since the Mayweather fight.

Haven't forgotten at all, he was shit kicked for 24 rounds straight and will have been out for just as long by the time this happens. If Mosley weren't completely finished Paulie couldn't carry his jockstrap, that's the issue here. Paulie also looked like complete shit in his last fight, he clearly lost and was dropped and hurt against a guy Morales was able to stop not long before. It's just an abortion of a match up all around, that it's for a world title is laughable.
