Dariuz was a good fighter but Roy would have beaten him. I remember Dariusz taking the bombs of a British fighter and stopping him. He made a comeback and got stopped I think.

Yup, that's why he was content on fighting in his comfort zone instead of coming to America to take on Roy who was the P4P king at the time..
I hear Euros questioning all the time why Roy couldnt travel to Dariuz' backyard.. WEll Roy didnt have to move for anybody cuz all roads led to him..
He was pretty good though..

Maybe. I personally think DM would have been RJ's toughest test. I can easily see a come from behind KO for DM or a Jones decision. It's all speculation though and does not demean DM. Regardless of the fight that never happened both are still legends.
And ya he did come back aged about 37 after a 2 year absence and lost to Tiozzo by Tko. No shame in that though Tiozzo was a good fighter he beat Mcallum, Branco and Eric lucas. Tiozzo would not have beaten prime DM. He lost to Virgill Hill twice. DM beat him one handed.
Cheers.

What I remember of Michalczewski ,he was very easy to hit Nicky Piper pushed him he was a decent
fighter.

All due respect but DM dominated Piper and stopped him with ease in 7! Scores up until the stoppage were 61-69 | 62-68 |61-69 for DM.
Piper did however PUSH Nigel Benn hard. Scores were 96-95 | 93-98 |94-96. Piper stopped in 11.

He never knocked out anyone and his fights went to points.
Re: Tiger Dariusz Michalczewski Ko's
I was impressed with Michalczewski stopping Mark Prince who had amazing power and he just took the punches as if they were nothing.

He's a good guy Prince. His son Kiyan was fatally stabbed outside his school in North London. Which prompted him to create the Kiyan Prince Foundation. Outspoken figure on gun and knife crime.

I was more impressed with his one sided stoppages over Drake Thadzi and Montell Griffin who had both defeated James Toney. Very underrated fighter DM.

Wasn't a KO artist no. Talented fighter though. Ask Iran Barkley and Rocchigiani.
Interesting factoid: Maske owns nine McDonalds franchises in Germany. LOL.

That's correct. Dariusz dropped Piper with the very first punch he threw (that left hook in the gif) then proceeds to beat the shit outta him. To his credit, Piper showed a ton of heart.

He is going to be the next Max Schemling who owned Coca Cola.
Re: Tiger Dariusz Michalczewski Ko's
Dariusz is one of the most underrated boxers of the past 25 years.
I think it's an injustice that he will never get into the IBHOF while Virgil Hill who he decisively defeated was voted in.
I remember how the sanctioning organizations stripped him after he unified the light heavyweight titles.

He beat a faded hill, who had already made 20 defences of his light heavyweight title. Hill also was a two time cruiserweight champion.
Dariusz may yet get in, he hasn't been retired long. I agree he isn't first ballot as he has to share a large portion of the blame for refusing to travel.
