Think how good ZZ could have been with Slash playing with them. hehe.
"La Grange", used to be home to The Chicken Ranch an illegal but tolerated brothel in Texas that operated from 1905 until 1973. It was located in Fayette County about 2.5 miles east of downtown La Grange. The business was established by Miss Jessie Williams, and was the basis for the 1978 Broadway musical and later movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Most people, unless they were from Texas, didn't know that this song by ZZ was about a well known whorehouse here in Texas..

All the band members are from Texas, they have a unique sound and put on an entertaining live show. I've just always thought of ZZ as basically a commercial band, "party band" along the lines of Lynyrd Skynyrd, except with a Texas, Southwestern twist.

I like Skynard as well, Credence Clear Water Revival, Blackfoot, Mountain, and many more.;D
Re: Slash joins ZZ Top for a rendition of "La Grange"
Saw ZZ Top live a while back. I'm not a fan of their music, but the live show was fantastic.
Re: Slash joins ZZ Top for a rendition of "La Grange"

I like ZZ's music well enough, they have a unique sound, but yeah they put on a great live show. Tons of sexy women usually show up and party their asses off. (that's half the fun)
I thought Slash fit right in with the band which was a bit of a surprise, that was the best rendition of La Grange I can ever recall hearing.
cheers

What, a state? Or a nation?
I do both. Plus your music is boring. A good show? ZZ Top? You have awful standards and should go outside sometimes yourself. But as you know, you are boring.

Perhaps I should give up my citizenship and regurgitate Chomsky, that way I would be an intellectual like you.
Yes I go out and do things, unlike you however I enjoy them.

You mean to accept truth about your horrid nation. Ooh, such intellectualism which I do not claim.
I love life and do what I do to do it. Unlike you I don't spawn things in the desire to pretend the future world will be better. I drive a car and listen to Bruce Springsteen, meanwhile I know I am more free than most idiots who marry and spawn.
In that sense you are frogspawn and deserve the music this thread commands of you.

While I appreciate your xenophobia, it also puts the details on your profound ignorance about America in general and me as an individual. Furthermore you sound like any high school kid just sitting around and bitching..............that's what makes you boring, the fact that you tell everyone how wrong what they do is, meanwhile what is it that you are doing that is any better?

I love America. Chomsky and Little Richard are great. ZZ top are shit.
I live overseas and am qualified and educated. Those facts stand alone.
I am not hurting people and that alone is enough. What am I doing that is better? Well, to live in ignorance is clearly bliss. I don't endorse any of of the things your nation does.

What do you know of my education? What do you know of what I do? Nothing you know nothing about them, a sweeping generalization is just what the situation calls for right? However I know far more about you than the other way around, you know nothing of me. Your life is completely egocentric yet you claim to be righteous. It's played out and boring. You are contributing nothing to your fellow man (except that which you get paid to do), therefore you are the problem. You think your inaction makes you superior? That's fantastic no wonder you are so miserable, you live the exact same way as the Americans you hate, you just happen to be born in different circumstances.

You are an idiot.
I do my work and try not to hurt others. But unfortunately, your music is a crime against humanity. It is tantamount to genocide.
As I say Chomsky is great. You are just waffling because you are barren and devoid.
I couldn't give a shit what you do, but it was you who judged first. Your education? Like I give a fuck? You are nothing. A pointless piece of vulgarity that dared to insult me. I hope you drop dead and all that breathe around you too.
Re: Slash joins ZZ Top for a rendition of "La Grange"
All I know is that I am right. ZZ Top is a pub band for silly neanderthals. miles likes Suede and proper music. And that is all there is to it. It is about what is good or bad music.
That is all that ever matters.

A lot of drivel there, many many words, none of which refute my claim that you are boring. In fact your rambling reinforces it. It also brings to light your ignorance and immaturity. All of this is fine as you will surely call me more names, which will make you feel better about yourself in the short term. Please continue, I must get back to work.

Miles gets more intelligent when he's put on ignore, it's the worst thing you can do to an attention seeking drama queen. FYI, Miles wouldn't be as totally fucked up as he is, if his mum hadn't dropped him on his head several times when he was a baby. :-\
