JMM has a lot of options. Of course, the best options is on the TR family. Rios, Pacman and Bradley. But I would love to see JMM fight mattysee, Garcia and/or, especially Broner before he retires. All in which I believe Broner will be the only fighter that has a style to beat JMM. The rest are come forward only fighters that JMM(2nd best counterpuncher) will figure out and time to destruction.
Rios would be the best fighter Marquez has faced above 135, other than Pacquiao & Floyd. I imagine this is a ploy to better position himself in negotiations with Pacquiao. However, he said he wouldn't face the Desert Storm, and he has no interest getting back in the ring with Floyd.
While it would be great to see Rios get handed his Arse on a plate, the terrifying, if somewhat unlikely scenario, of JMM getting old overnight and losing to such a plonker would be too much. Alas, Arum will probably get his way and Juan will end up back in Groundhog day fighting Manny again.
Somebody better tell Arum that because he seems hell bent on a 5th fight with Pac vs JMM.
Rios doesn't deserve a profile fight of a Marquez. To be honest I think he's on the late end of his 15 minutes of fame and is going to end up selling bags of oranges on some corner the way he is going.
Marquez is going to spend the time until episode five gets made claiming all sorts of different things but be in no doubt that he's oing to fight Manny next.
Am I the only one who thinks Rios would beat Marquez? Marquez' chin hasn't exactly been made of steel at the higher weights and I think Rios would walk through Marquez, at least early on, and hurt him.
I don't think Rios would beat Marquez at all, Marquez has the speed advantage, better stamina, and he'll probably pretty much counter Rios at will and would land more than one shot in doing so, the only guys that Rios has beaten up are guys who stand right in front of him, Abril who IMO has less power than Marquez easily picked Rios apart, even Murray was finding success against Rios until the punches accumulated, I'm not saying that Rios doesn't have power but he's no one punch KO artistQuote:

Unless Pacquiao and his team decide against a 5th fight with Marquez, I see this fight happening, just because of the money JLM could make, I just don't see him walking away from a 10 million plus payday.
If it doesn't happen it will be because Manny doesn't want, that's my take.
BTW, i'd still love to see Rios vs. JMM.. it would be a great fight.
I tend to agree, but I believe Marquez would suck it up like the warrior/champion he is and come back to KO Rios, in any event it would be a great fight.Quote:
