Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Wait for my logic before you judge me.
Ok he has a bad rep for folding at the big stages. He seems to just freeze and allow big punchers a red carpet right to his chin.
HOWEVER
The anomaly that is Audley is dangerous now, he had a fairly embarrassing loss against Haye, then Price, then shows up looking brilliant at the prizefighter event.
He was the best shape he's ever been in and he deserves a fight with someone decent, since he performed well, in fact a few names were thrown out there.
So why is he dangerous? Simple, because a loss to Audley for most fighters is a huge blow, career worrying blow. He seems easy to beat, but what Audley shows up?
You'd think people would take him just to have the name on their record, BUT what if Audley of prizefighter shows up? Not many fighters stay awake if he lands the straights he was throwing that night.
I like Audley, it's ashame he couldn't have had more consists good shape and a bit more bottle.

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
'A bit' more bottle.
Biggest understatement of this eon! ;)
-
Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Are you an idiot ?
prize fighter is mostly novices , fought nothing like a 10 rounder , its entertaining but not top 10 fighting.
Audley doesnt like to get hit , and has lost most of his fights to good fighters.
Price iced him
Thompson iced Price.
Wlad schooled Thompson.
Fraudley is a joke.
-
Wouldnt go as far to say audley looked brilliant!he looked ok against as dark lord says complete novices. Even in prizefighter he stop had that look about him that he was shit scared to get hit!backing up on the ropes chin in the air.can't blame audley for trying to make a few quid but put him in with any1 half decent over 10,12 rounds he will be his usual rabbit in the headlights and get knocked out cold again.

As stated I'm not saying he's brilliant, I'm saying he's dangerous because a loss to him is career ended.

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Also like to add that when fury beat rogan, as expected as it was everyone said tough fighter, well done fury.
Audley does it in much more high paced capacity, and rogan is now a novice.
Just saying.

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
just realised this isn't a joke thread

@Vendettos I am very close to negatively rep you.

I got a feeling that Hrrison v Chisora will be announced in April;)

Whatever you were trying to say, you pissed everyone off. I've been there and done that. Don't talk about that Audley dude, he seems to be a serious sore spot with the UK fans.

Fuck everyone of them, I'll say whatever the hell I like.
If you can't understand what I was saying, you're an oxygen thief.

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Well, you've got a point @Vendettos, Oddly would have to look more dangerous than he did against Price. Did he even land a punch in that fight?

Everybody understands what you are saying, but nobody wants to hear about Audley Harrison.
Everybody thinks he is a nobody.
I respect him for getting in the ring and doing what he could, but he is destined to be a footnote, remembered more for his amateur record and name than anything he did professionally.
He is not more dangerous, because there is zero interest or money attached to his name which means nobody will fight him. Boxing is a business, period.
-
Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Hahah, good one. He poses no threat whatsoever to anyone with a modicum of self belief who can either box their way out of a paper bag or punch worth shit. He didn't even look that good in prizefighter, he just fought a few complete bums and didn't have anything coming back at him.
-
Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Audley is dangerous but no top fighter will want to fight him in case they have trouble taking him into the second round. It is like playing against San Marino, you are expected to batter them and if you do not you will be criticised.

Trust me ...off camera he's a wanker ;-)
And let's be honest here...in Prizefighter he fought nobodies..
As soon as he gets back in the ring against someone who can bang a bit he'll go back into his shell ..paw with the jab and be licking the canvass one.last time. ;-)
-
Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
I think he's good at Prizefighter because it is similar to the amateur format. Only 3 rounds and shit opposition that isn't likely to hurt you.
Truthfully though, he'd fuck both Klitschko brothers up, they're just damn lucky he has chosen to spare their lives.
-
Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Just as soon as he steps up he is going to get smacked down. He is making himself into a good cannon fodder type opponent- he can clear anywhere between $250k and $1 mil in purse money from a fight, with the right type of promotion and 2 or 3 pre-fight hype fights. Ya know? Take on a few journeymen before he takes on a top contender for a few buckaroos!

This was my entire point.

Will Audley accept Deontay's daring offer?
I wanted Deontay to step up, but not against the the most dangerous man in boxing!

Harrison wins then he should retire because even a win against someone so dangerous wont get him any sort of title shot, just some redemption. Plus winders career is pretty much over.
Wilder wins he gets criticized for fighting a dud.
No win situation for wilder

I hope Audley accepts, one way or the other we'll know more about Deontay.
Wilder says he wants to make a run at the Klits this year, so he picks Audley to start with in April--I'm baffled.
If Audley wins, Deontay belongs on the scrap pile.

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
Audley should take the fight but insist that it is a 3 rounder.

That'll be 8 minutes and 45 seconds more than wilder will need.
Unfortunately.

Better make it a 1/3 of round fight, because I doubt that Oddly would survive more then a 1 minute of the first round. Harrison might be able to keep Wilder at bay with his lightening quick jab. and win the 1/3 of a round fight on the scorecard.
BTW, I believe it's a really chickenshit move by Wilder, calling out a chump like Oddly. It makes me think that Wilder only fights cans for a reason.

But let's look at it though- why not Audley? Audley is a good step up for Wilder, considering Wilder hasn't fought anyone even closely of the calibre- if we count amatuer pedigree- of Audley, aside from Kertson Manswell.
The last fight Wilder had was against Kelvin Price, a prospect whom he demolished. But an over-blown and over-hyped prospect in Kelvin Price.
This Audley fight is actually a good step up for Wilder. Real talk! Audley was in there with Haye, Price, Sprott, Francis, Guinn, Rossy and Williams. More experience in those few fight and losses than Wilder has on his entire resume of fights PLUS the amatuers.
I don't expect Wilder to go walking back to bums- unless no one else wants to fight him- after the Audley fight. He knows this is the no-stepping backwards fight for him IF he wins.

Walking back to bums? What do you think Oddly is? Why doesn't Wilder call out Haye, David Price, Helenius, Povetkin or somebody with a fucking pulse, but no, he calls out Oddly!
So the result will be another 1st round KO in the books for Wilder against another 'can, in a fight that nobody wants to watch. I watched part of a Harrison interview a couple days ago, Oddly blithered: "boxing fans come to see me lose". You don't disappoint us do you Audley.

But seriously man; "Who has Wilder fought that was BETTER than Audley?"... everyone he fought was ten times worse than Audley. Goes to show you who Wilder has fought to date- but for a guy with 27 fights, he should have been in with better.
But, be that as it may, Audley is a step up for him. Truly!
And, Audley ain't exactly a bum man. He's a legit journeyman. A dangerous journeyman. hehehhehe...
;D

Re: Audley Harrison is more dangerous now than ever.
If that is true, how bad is Wilder's resume.

His resume wasn't much to speak about. He hasn't fought anyone even close to having Audley's resume. This IS a step-up. Sure, Manswell has been around and in the ring, but as a punching bag and his fights didn't last too long in some respects. Kelvin Price was an over-hyped prospect, nothing to see there....
So let the fight. But for sure, Wilder can't walk back to an un-ranked fight ever again after this. His next opponents should be ranked 15 and up from hereonin! In fact, anyone ranked under 10 in any of the organizations should be a no-no for Wilder.
