Can someone please refresh my memory. In the last year (or so), a well knwon fighter claimed after the fight that he was pissed the referee stopped the fight too early when what happened was that he didn't beat the referee's 10 count?

I'll never forget the way McNeeley charged at Tyson. I remember admiring him for it, but having a feeling that it wasn't likely to end well for him.
It was funny after tyson dropped him and he did a backwards sprint around the ring and the ref was chasing him to give him his mandatory 8 count

Didn't end well.
I think Holmes and the Rocky Jockstrap comment is something he regrets. It certainly alienated him in the boxing community.
Ali and the vile comments against Fraizier probably are another as well as his allegiance to the nation of Islam spaceship going to take us rubbish too.
