What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
From the first bell until the strange moment at the end when Fury took the mic and started singing to the crowd lol.
I dislike his arrogance sometimes, but my God does he entertain me.
We need these characters in boxing.

Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
12 KO'S as a CW and he floors the pickey
what is going to happen when a real HW puncher hits Fury on the chin?

Seemed more flash knockdown, didn't do Fury a great deal of damage.
Same with the Pjanic one.
I do think he need to keep his left hand by his chin though, as that's twice the overhand right has dropped him.

Your just jealous of the way his shorts keep falling down all the time.
-
Fury is clumsy, slow, awkward and looks out of shape.
I was cheering for him though and he has youth on his side but he needs another 3-4 fights before the klits.

Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
I really think price and haye would eat him within 5 rounds

Easily, probably in less.
-
Fury was rocked by the knockdown, he clung on the rest of the round and there was ages left.
Fairplay though, his fights are entertainment, although I think he has got KO written on his chin.

Hes not shit, he just hasnt got a great chin, thats not being shit. He KO'd Cunningham, who just (should have) beat Adamek and Adamek beat Arreola comfortably who people are saying would batter Fury;D:rolleyes:

Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
Fury is very similar to Helenius but cant fight off the back foot. Like the giant of Finland he's kind of a cross breed between Primo Carnera and Jess Willard.

I'll say hes much more interested than Helenius. But itll just get him detonated quicker when he faces a fast capable puncher.

How many times did he have to hit Cunningham FLUSH, full on before he fell ? 3 times. So much so that he literally had to pin Cunningham across the neck for the final punch before punching him. That was an abominable display by Fury. Total and utter SHITE. Cunningham would probably have gotten up had he not had to endure so many rounds of being leaned upon. elbowed, headbutted and pushed by someone 6 inches taller and 3 stones heavier. A 15 stone fighter against an 18 stone fighter and the 15 stone guy decks you ?

Mike Tyson used to do ok...
If Fury was 6,4" he'd have shorter limbs and wouldn't be as clumsy so that argument is pointless. He has the same oafish clumsy movement that Vitali has only he can put punches togeth better and gets knockouts;D

Comparing Fury to Vitali is like comparing a cheap bar of hersheys to a good truffle, and I am not a huge Vitali or truffle fan. you can keep your Herheys though :p

Is this a joke? Vitali smashes Fury inside 5 rounds.

Fury vs Valuev would of been a fun fight to watch.
Shame Valuev retired...or is he?

Fury does need to tighten up his defence , he did get caught early with that big shot, his hands were very Low and he seemed far too confident. I think the shot woke him up though and when he starting keeping his hands up and putting his shots together he looked decent. He still needs more fights and I will say this again he is only 24 years old and he needs to mature a bit more. But fury was looking to impress tonight and that's why he got caught, he was a lot more composed in the Johnson performance but he was looking to get the job done quicker tonight and I suppose he did achieve that.
I do think a stronger heavyweight could hurt Fury, but if he works on his defence he will do well in the heavyweight division. He's got a good punch output for a big guy and he's shown us before he is a 12
Round fighter, he just needs to keep on working on his weaknesses in the gym and he should improve.
I enjoy watching him fight and I think he will do well in time. He would get demolished by Wlad though however.

Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
Fuckin Fury is an ass clown and a ham. He showed a weak chin/punch resistance, but some real heart to come back from being knocked down AND rocked hard in the 4th as well. Poor Cunningham, he got laid on all night and fouled. Then he was cheap shotted for the KO as Fury held n hit. All is fair in love and war though. Lennox did as bad or worse against Grant.
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
What if Fury had a better trainer? i know nothing about Peter Fury, his current trainer ..Could freddie roach or someone else make him a better boxer?
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
fury was exciting and i hope he gets in with a world class puncher soon , but he is painful to listen to , he is dumb and has no class.
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
There's no hiding the fact that regardless of hi boxing skills, we all want to watch him.
WEAK CHIN DOESN'T MAKE YOU A BAD BOXER.
For a boxing forum, so many of you seem to think this.
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
Fury's sear size won him the fight, Cunningham was hitting him at will he looked good at the weight
at 15stone, but that extra 3 stone Fury had on him made a big difference.!
Will Fury be World Champ,! not on that performance poor defense easy to hit, and not the best chin.;)
-
Not the best chin i keep reading, cunningham is a 15 stone strong ex world champion. He basically took a run up with that over hand right and would have dropped almost anyone. Having a bad chin means u get dropped or knocked out when someone connects, fury took some big shots after and didnt budge.
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
Fury is entertaining, he can box and sing he is the fury
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
I was cringing when he started singing. Horrid! But great entertainment.
His is dogs shit though. That was like Haye vs Froch in terms of size difference.

What wrong with you he has a wonderful voice.

Apart from having the punch power of an anorexic with a wet fish in their hand, the skillset of a crash test dummy, the punch resistance of a badly constructed Jenga tower and the public relations attributes of a brain damaged Rottweiler with a jalapeno chilli pepper up it's arse, he is actually ok.
He is quite tall, heavy and hasn't punched himself in the face for a bit though, so you never know, he may yet get the chance to piss more people off and end up being sparked by a welterweight.

Yea it's stupid. If Fury had a great chin this would have been a shit fight. If Khan had a great chin his fights against Garcia and Maidana would have been shit. A questionable chin adds to the excitement of a fight.
I'd pay to watch either of them ahead of watching the great chins of Hopkins or the likes.
-
Re: What a fight, Fury vs Cunningham
agreed. Who can't wait to watch Fury next time ?
In with Wlad. I'd love it !

I watch Cory McConnell vs Lee Selby last night.
McConnell had a great chin but he took a beating.
But he couldn't fight for shit.
See where having the "good chin" got him?
His team threw in the towel.

Dont worry, Haye got dropped hard by a super middle;D Lolenga Mock.
Also, all this size difference crap, Mike Tyson beat Tucker and Biggs who were both 7" taller than him and were both better boxers than Fury is now.

Says more about your taste that you prefer to watch limited, classless, gobshytes than WORLD class HOF boxers. Why not swing by any club/pub at kicking out time and save yourself some pennies

Hmmm! Khans boxing skills are up there with the best. Hopkins holds, head butts, low blows. Good to know what you think class is. Fury outboxed Johnson for 12 rounds, not many people have done that. He obviously has a bit of class about him
