Most likely to upset this weekend?
Judah?
Diaz?
Murray?
I'm thinking Murray although I'd like to see Zab ko Garcia and then go to the corner and clock his old man.
First time I have ever wanted Zab to win.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
I agree with wanting to see Zab win but it's Zab in a big fight so he's guaranteed to find a way to lose. Quillin might lose. He seems to be eminently hittable. I'm still going to pick him to win though.

It's a shame everyone is pissed at Danny because of his father. Danny should tell him to keep his mouth shut.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
What no Arreola on here? I think Bermane has a good shot to shock the heavyweight division. That's a pick 'em fight for me, I know Bermane isn't the most skilled boxer, but he packs a big punch....should be a great fight too because neither guy knows the sweet science, they just know how to let their hands go.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
Not only do I think Stiverne doesn't beat Arreola... but I don't think it'll be considered an upset if he does. The HW division is crap other than the Klit brothers... and right now it's anybody's guess as to who comes out of that mess as the primary challenger to the Klits.
.......... but cute use of the kitty picture. ;)

It should be considered an upset given that Stiverne hasn't fought much top quality opposition and other than losing to Vitali and Adamek Arreola has been pretty good albeit a little flabby.
The HW division isn't "crap" it is simply competitive at a lower standard than it should be. There ARE interesting heavyweight fights out there to be made and Arreola-Stiverne is a good one!

Polite way of saying it's crap.

Yes... but it's taking way too long. Between the inactivity of some of the top contenders (from the crap heap), to the exasperating injuries and illnesses being suffered by some, to guys like Wilder who have yet to fight legit opponents...... the whole thing is being played out in super slo-mo.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
Is Stiverne a big underdog this weekend? I would have guessed the odds were close. I wouldn't call Stiverne beating Arreola an upset.
In terms of most likely to produce an upset, Murray might be the best pick. Did Martinez heal properly? Will his age catch up to him finally? Did the last round of that fight take a lot out of him at his age? If the answers to those questions are no, then Martinez should dominate, but there's a chance that isn't the answer.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
There are a lot of fights on this week, did not realise until this thread. We will not get to see half of them.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
William Hill has Stiverne priced as a +350 underdog

@elkabong - I've seen Stiverne a few times, but I can't recall, has he ever been dropped? How's his chin?

He looks pretty sturdy to me. Demetrice King KO'd him, but that's not all that much to worry about IMO, he wasn't down he just didn't return fire, and that was way back in 2007. I think Stiverne is good enough to test Arreola's chin as well, as he put King on his ass before getting stopped later in the fight.
The fight should be a slugfest while it lasts as neither man really hits and moves, they just go to war.

What ever is not on the tele should be streamed so if you need a link shoot me a pm as the fights draws closer.

Would say Murray, but can't see him stopping Martinez and can't see him pick up a decision in Argentina.
Judah has a punchers chance.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
I would be greatly shocked if it is Audley.

Could be...I don't know if Wilder has been hit all that cleanly yet
-
Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
Im gonna go with Zab. No way is Murray beating Martinez. Cant see Diaz troubling Khan and Wilder stops Audley in 2.
-
Audley is more than capable of stopping Wilder. If he can avoid getting stage fright and being caught like a rabbit in the headlights he can certainly give Wilder his hardest fight yet and could even stop him via an explosive Highlight reel style knockout. Or he could just fold like a saggy stack of cards.

We get Khan & Murray on Boxnation. I'll put a thread up if I find the Garcia card or the Arreola card on the schedule.

I'm thinking he just folds seeing as he's folded every other time he's been pressed by a big puncher. Really all Wilder has to do is come out swinging and even if he misses Audley will shit his pants

If that happens, it will bring up immediate comparisons to Tyson-Seldon.

Bruce Seldon might have had a bit more courage...I mean he did beat Tony Tucker

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
I am wondering what odds I could get on a Zab,Murray, and Audley triple upset ;D

1,000,000 to one, there's no way fraudley can win he's the one who won't win!!
-
Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
Pigs are flying and Hell has snowballs in it...I really want Zab to win. I think he has a good shot. I'm also rooting for Audley to suprise or at least test Wilders dangling virgin chin.
Huge weekend of action here..anyone have thought of putting up some RBR's? Seems as though Mars is MIA.

Mars decided to leave the forum.

Re: Most likely to upset this weekend?
Haven't made picks in a while so here it goes:
Quillin stops Guerrero
Martinez schools Murray
Wilder KO's Audley
Arrerola TKO's Stiverne
and I'll say....
Judah decisions Garcia
Khan stops Diaz after being hurt/knocked down himself.
