4th-Grade 'Science Test' Goes Viral: Creationism Quiz Claims Dinosaurs Lived With People (PHOTO)

lol
That's incredible....I've never, ever read any where, not once, which day god made the dinosaurs. And who has ever heard of a cow with sharp teeth?!?
If Bilbo was still around he'd explain why that is 100% correct. In fact I bet there's plenty of people on here that believe that too.
"The more I look at that huge mountain of growing facts, the less and less convinced I am it is true."
- Bilbo
Thats one huge dog said the teacher. Wow.
I really, really hope that is from a private school...
Dont look at me, Im with the black people were the first ones here on Earth clan of thought, maybe even among the last of the dinosaurs :-\.
I bet there were some if you trained them right you could put them to heavy work like we do elephants but could move even bigger rocks :)
That would answer a few questions.
Is that test genuine?
If so the teacher needs to be sacked. That is the blatant abuse of a childs mind and is truly sickening.
They are trying to do a similar thing with climate change in America and it is just terrifying how dumbed down people are becoming.
When you erase science and logic and rely on one dimensional religious texts then any pretence at progress is lost.
Honestly, in this country, at least, the whole concept of 'education' or 'information' has been warped beyond recognition. The intention is not to educate or inform, for it's own sake and value, but to indoctrinate. To "teach" people what to think, instead of how to think.
And it seems to me that that is the case worldwide, and the merit of what you think is determined by the volume of the voices of those that either agree or disagree. Since how loud you talk is determined by your access to media and your ability to get those sources to repeat your message, then it all comes down to profit motive. And money makes liars of everybody.
The next time I see a dinosaur, I'll ask him about how he came to be. Or not, because it really doesn't make a difference in how I'm going to get through the next week or the next year.
And if there is a "God", it doesn't make sense to me that he would wait to the 6th day to create dinosaurs...How would you prioritize a list like that? Would creating Kate Upton go ahead of or fall behind creating big old small brained lizards? And then what does that list tell us about the nature of "God" and how seriously he should be taken? Do you have to wait until grade 5 or 6 to explore these issues?
More about the US education system :
The Department of Justice on Friday uncovered a so-called “School-to-Prison pipeline” in Mississippi, where teachers and principals are shipping off children into the criminal justice system for infractions as small as a dress code violation. Schools in the city of Meridian, MS, have an established practice of sending students, particularly black and disabled students, to prison for minor disciplinary problems — in clear violation of the Constitution. As ABC reports, that DOJ is claiming that the schools, which protect against “abuse of government authority in legal proceedings and fairness of due process rights,” are violating the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments.
Mississippi Schools Sending Kids To Prison For Misbehaving In The Classroom | ThinkProgress
There was a case a year or so ago where a judge was being paid per juvenile by a privately operated prison to send them kids so they could be made to work for a dollar a week in prison to make money for the private prison firm. The judge went to jail but apparently shit like this is happening all over.
EDIT: You can be sent to prison for breaking wind. It's a good job I didn't go to school in Mississippi or I'd have been put on death row.
That type of stuff is in no way limited to the South. In 'enlightened' California, they are in a hurry to get everybody into the system ASAP. One of the young men that I taught to box got hooked up over wearing pants that were too baggy. The school dress code allowed baggy pants, no more than 2 sizes too large. The security guard deemed that his were at least 4 sizes too large, there was an argument, an altercation and the police were called.
You can be arrested at schools in this country for wearing a shirt with a picture of a gun on it, even if it is a United States marine Corp shirt. And the police here recently tasered a 77 year old disabled veteran to death because he got belligerent.
So it is all messed up in so many ways and arguing about whether the Flintstones was a historical documentary or merely a cartoon, whether we are the product of a fickle god or big bangs and monkey love is just a distraction while we get royally screwed.
And you are all paying for that type of control over your lives on both ends of the scale you are out of pocket via your tax paying for this bullshit and out of credit via the banks shafting you through the law you uphold, your good fortune or luck will soon follow.
I'm calling bullshit, the reading level and complexity of the questions seem suspiciously higher than the 4th grade.
Something similar happened up here, actually in one of the eastern Montana ranching/farming communities. A girl had been out early hunting antelope with her father and went to school with her rifle in the trunk of her car. A teacher overheard her telling her friend that she had the rifle and wanted to call the sheriff. But the principal stopped that, got the girl's rifle and held it in his office until end of school, when he returned it to her.
No follow up on whether she filled her antelope tag, however.
