Who is you favourite Ring announcer and why?
Michael Buffer G.O.A.T ... "Let's get ready to rumble" How can you not get hype after hearing that. I'm 25 so I might be biased considering I been hearing Buffer since day 1.Quote:

Jimmy Sr. was very good but the best to me was Johnny Addie!!!! He was the annoncer thru the 40s up to the early 60s. He was very direct and emphazied where the fighter was from because the competition between the cities in the country was a selling point as fighters traveled to fight.
His voice stayed the same and his seriousness was a prelude to what was to come.
The Buffer styled announcers today make it sound like a carnavel setting with a loud mouth "barker" trying to hype up a side show! Addie was the best for me, serious and direct and doubling up on the fighters last name was his personal touch.....................Joe Louis, Louis!!! HA! :cool: Ray
Lennon Jr. I seen him announce fights in 5 different languages without a problem

At one time I was annoyed with Buffer but I recently watched an interview with him which showed him to be a fine human. I would and did vote for Buffer.
Whos the guy with the massive dreads ? Hes actually not bad but all you remember is "That white dude with the massive dreadlocks and hat"??? Always liked Mark Beiro on USA. I think he went blind and read intros by braille for a bit? Joe Antanaci was good.
Jimmy lennon rules! Keeps it simple with no massive ego trip. Buffer is ok. The worst you'll see is Discombobulating Jones, or any handful of mma kooks. Including Buffers brother.
