I say Lucas by KO in the later rounds. Garcia isn't a pushover. Mathysse should still be unbeaten. He'd be in the top 10 p4p for sure. Mathysse vs Broner would be awesome
Garcia and Khan will be avoiding Mathysse, it will be fun watching their excuses not to fight him.
I'll have to sat Matthysse by KO after last nights performance. It's become the fight I most want to see in boxing though, I hope it happens. Huge puncher vs undefeated, also big punching hot shot, it should be great fun
Before last night I would have said Garcia.
When they stuck the camera on Garcia, at the end of the fight, even he looked liked he'd pick Matthysse by KO.

Ive said it before and id say it again. Garcia is so overrated. Fucking Judah nearly took him out. Matthysse kills him. Beating an old Morrales twice and KOing Khan in a fight he was being picked apart in does not make you world class. He aint gonna fight Matthysse will definitely vacate and step up in weight to avoid him
Mathysse all the way, Garcia is there to be hit and guess Mathysse will HIT HIM HARD, not going
to be pretty short and sweet.;)

I can see either guy winning but voted for garcia because he seems to be able to do abit more than just punch . Having said that i also picked peterson to beat mathysse & wasnt exactly spot on with that 1.
I was impressed with lucas last night and id give him the edge over garcia in punch power but i think danny would use his jab vs lucas and box him off the backfoot. Judah is a common opponent who beat lucas but didnt really come close to beating Dannny so in this fight id pick the apparent underdog Garcia to stay unbeaten and retain his title on points
Some sound logic here but Matthysse fought a lot younger Judah. Also if Judah caused Garcia trouble in the last few rounds think what Matthysses punches would doQuote:

It only took Lucas one round to cut the ring off with Peterson. Can Danny do that for 12? Also, Garcia throws hooks, and you don't hook with a hooker, as they say. Thats true, danny did seem abit affected late in that fight and mathysse will bring the pressure alot sooner than judah did. The other advantage lucas has is that garcia loops his shots, dont think ive ever seen throw a perfectly straight shot and as someone said on this thread already, you don't hook with a hooker.Quote:

I dont think garcia will duck this fight. He is not that type of fighter. He took the khan fight when people thought it was too soon and he is naturally confident. He might regret the decision but i think he will agree to fight. He will probably have to get off the floor to win Imo.
Danny also says he doesnt watch tapes of opponents but in this case i think it would be useful for him to study mathysse and his habbits because there are opportunities to land a big counter and lucas has never met a puncher like danny so we dont know how he would react. This poll is proof that nobody has really considered the possibility of Danny landing something big but if he does it changes the dynamics of the fight
I really want to see this fight. :) I think both guys get hit early and often although Matthysse doesn't seem to need "often". The first knockdown on Saturday night was the one that would put the fear of god into me if I was in line to fight Matthysse. A glancing blow while Peterson was already backing up and he really never recovered from it. Matthysse by KO for me.
I think that is what makes it so scary/worrisome for Garcia. Matthysse arguably has the greatest power AND possibly the best chin in boxing. Dude just walks right in for a shot. Peterson landed his hook about the same time on an unsuspecting Matthysse and Matthysse was basically unfazed. Meanwhile Peterson saw stars and other things in the cosmos.Quote:

Garcia has 1 punch, Matthysse has dynamite in both.
Hell, he missed Peterson with one shot, just about scuffing him and knocked him down.
