Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Carl Froch could face disciplinary action after saying he was prepared to kill Mikkel Kessler - Telegraph
Seems he must be either fucking tight or trying to boost ppv - still a bit of a stupid thing to say I think when the sport is boxing. & Im a huge froch fan
Carl has never been able to gain a public following like hatton etc and this wont help, even if he is as fearless as they come as well as a great fighter
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
It sounds like he has snapped. The things he was saying made very little sense.
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Good headline when you need to sell PPV.
As I'm a bit of a cunt, well a big one, I've started to hope Kessler smashes him.
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
They probably went a shared a nice protein milkshake after the press conference.
Don't buy into it.
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Taking things a little bit too far in my book. This is a sport.

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Disappointed in carl.
He has been celebrated alot recently by the media and justifiably so. He is a warrior who fights the best and is always in great shape. He should be a role model but then we forget that he has a history of saying stupid things. This tops the lot but it is fight week so giving him the benefit of he doubt perhaps he got carried away in the moment
This has swung me in kesslers direction cuz i was undecided as to who to support. Both great fighters who put it all on the line in the ring but if you compare who they are as people, you gotta get behind mikkel. He is a true gentleman/ role model
-
Wow whatg a stupid ass thing to say! Froch is off his rocker, I know its fight week but hell weren't they always respectful and friendly with each other. definitely hope kess putts a whoopin on him now, somethin ain't quite right with frochs noggin.

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Its like he's reverted back to the petulent little bratt he was while Calzaghe was active. Maybe its something along those lines, that the ghost of Calzaghe is still haunting him until he gets that win over Kessler because if you notice, its always the Kessler fight and only the Kessler fight he says he cant get off his mind and he dreams about, never the Ward fight. He's not ever even mentioned Ward as a possible opponent again and that I think is to do with the fact that Calzaghe isnt around so in Carls mind Calzaghe cant go one better than Carl over Ward as well.
I think Froch would have a nervous breakdown if Calzaghe did come out of retirement and beat Ward;D

But then if you read this weeks Boxing News interview with Kessler by the excellent Donald Mcrae he pushes Kessler on his toughest opponent and he will not mention Ward either. He accuses him of winning by clinching and being afraid of being hit, he says Froch while being slower than Calzaghe hits a lot harder and he can't decide between Froch and Joe.

Well that was fuckin dumb.

I've thought that too. He seems a little too wound up to me.

As much as we are friends and we are OK, who does he think he is coming over here to my country after what I have done in the last three years and what he has done, talking like that.
“Trust me, I will have those little gloves on and I will smash him right in the face. I will hit him hard and often. People talk about us being friends and, yes, he is alright. But he wants something I have got. I worked so hard to get that belt and there is no way he is getting it.”
what is he rambling on about :S.... froch is going semi senile :S..............

At one point in the Calzaghe fight it looked as if Kessler was going to be stopped by that body shot. He never looked in that kind of danger against Froch.

That's funny because he says the opposite but then again what would he know.:-\

I saw the fight already and have seen the fight several times. I have it on DVD. Kessler comes right back at him after a brief rest.
Here is Mikkel himself
"You have to have a game-plan against Carl, who has longer arms than I thought and is physically strong, as if you hit him he will hit you right back," said Kessler, who defeated Brian Magee in December to seize his strap.
"I know some more things about him now having seen his previous fights against guys like Lucian Bute, but I think Froch, who is not as fast as Joe Calzaghe but hits harder, has got better (since we fought).
Fantastic Mr Froch | News | Ringside | Sky Sports
In the BN interview today he says (and you will have to trust me or buy a copy because I can't find a link, so have copied word for word)
"..even if Joe gave me a much more technically difficult fight, Carl was my hardest fight, both physically and mentally, and my greatest victory." Kessler also reveals that, even amid the glow of victory, he felt far more battered the morning after the Froch fight. "But it was a good hurt" he says with a grin."When you don't care. When you lose it's a bad hurt in your heart. After Joe only my tendons were very sore. But they always are when a fight goes past six rounds. The punches from Joe didn't hurt too much because he's not such a hard hitter. With Carl you feel the blows much more. He is very slow but a strong puncher"

But yet Calzaghe fought the best version of Kessler ever whereas Froch fought the comebacking version whod just been beaten again and he still managed to give Froch his first loss.
Kessler can tell all the fairy storys he wants about who doesnt hit hard and who does but If Joe didnt hit hard why didnt he just walk through him?

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Froch is the brightest of people and is very excited with the fight so close and his anxiety got the better of him.
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
for one thing, Kessler is NOT Bute!!! Kessler is a true warrior and will never submit. we will see if the long layoff is relevant, but i still think Kessler is too slick. kessler wins on points.

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Froch is so fucking stupid...
He keeps coming out with gibberish.
"I’m glad Kessler will walk first. I can get into the Arena, soak up the atmosphere from the biggest crowd either of us has performed in front of"
They have sold 18,000 tickets. When Kessler fought against Calzaghe he fought in front of 3 times as many people!

yeah, he's starting to believe his own bullshit. thats ok though, kessler will bring him back to reality quick!!! go kessler!!! lets just hope frochs leaves his mouth running woman at home so we dont gotta hear her scream instructions for the whole fight. the network prob made froch agree to leave her home!!!
-
Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Froch says he's ready to kill Kessler.
And? He ain't going in there with a gun or knife and I doubt he even really means it. So who fucking cares? Why is this even news. I'm actually glad Froch said that. I rather hear Froch and Kessler say they wanna murder and torture each other, instead of them sucking each others dick with the constant "He's such a tough warrior" "There's no quit in him" Blah, blah, blah. I'm sure there ain't no quit in them. But I ain't trying to hear that during a build up to what's an anticipated rematch. They should threaten each other with pain and death. Or at least ridicule each other. Both had golden opportunity they let slide
Froch should of told Kessler "After I knock you, I'm going bowling. And I'm gonna be using your sisters big ass fake tits as my bowling balls"
Kessler could of responded with "Keep the wife home Carl. Cuz if I hear her loud, annoying voice while I'm kicking your ass I swear on your mothers grave I will stick my dick down her throat and shut her the fuck up"

Mate you really cant have it both ways you know that right? Brian Magee says Kessler will win, and he'd know right because he fought them both. But Kessler himself says Carl hits harder than Joe and its a fairy story? ;D

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
If Calzaghe doesnt hot hard, why didnt Kessler just walk through his pumches amd batter Joe like he did to Magee? He couldnt necause Joe was catching and hurting him;)

Not sure what Brian Magee's punching prowess has got to do with anything, you'd have to ask Kessler. But then again if Kesslers word didnt fit the bill you'd say he was talking bollocks and quote someone else who was saying the right thing ;)

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
It is funny that Carl does hit harder then the version of Calzaghe that Kess fought now doubt but he had kessler in more trouble then Carl with that body shot. Off topic a bit but speaking of Calzaghe when the fuck was his prime really sure there is a thread about it.

In terms of force I dont think there's any doubt that Froch thumps harder than the Calzaghe Kessler fought. Joe didnt just hit Kessler quite hard, he mentally and physically broke him up. Its a state of mind.

He was so good during his career consistantly but like Hopkins there is an area where he was more dangerous. Id say early 2000's when he still put power in his punches and tried for the ko. He was always a good boxer, he wan 3 national ABA titles on the trot, each in a new weight. Thats why Hopkins never wanted to move up for 3 million quid back then.;)

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Froch was perhaps being a bit too extreme, but it's boxing and some of them get like that. You should be looking to mess up your opponent and that's all he means. I thought he got on well with Kessler, so it just sounds strange to hear him talking like that. Froch has been saying a lot of weird things in recent days, but he has always said odd things. Boxers seldom die in the ring and I imagine the odds of Kessler actually being killed this weekend are probably quite minimal. Froch is being quirky, but he is funny that way. You need a bit of pantomime. It does build him into the bad guy though and in a fight where you like both fighters, it pushes you towards the gentleman of the two.

Not sure joe fought a better version. When kessler fought joe he was young inexperienced and away from home. When h fought carl he was at home and his career was on the line. He also had more experience at world class and seemed to put it all on the line and fight with more desperation than he did in cardiff

Are you for real?
Kessler was inexperienced!!?
He fought Siaca, mundine, Lucas, Beyer and Andrade, travelled to Australia, wan and unified 2 world titles. There was no one else for him to fight in the division that meant anything other than Joe. Froch was a nobody at this point, still yet to fight Robin Reid who was his first former world champion or even ex title challenger. Froch meant nothing on the world stage at this point and was not a legitimate challenge for either Calzaghe or Kessler.

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
VD,
So youre saying kessler fighting away from home is better than a kessler fighting at home? Lol why do think fighters demand home advantage if it means nothing
Ross
Kessler was less experienced cuz he hadnt fought in Cardiff infront of 50k before. He was much more at home vs froch

Kessler had already made 4 title defenses. He went into Australia (which just might have the most bias officials ever) to fight Mundine and he had already headlined HBO (against Andrade). To call him inexperience is.....how can I say this in polite terms. Fucking moronic.

I'm not saying it doesn't mean anything. I'm saying he had experience fighting on the big stage before. Which he did. So it shouldn't be used as an excuse

Kessler started slow but froch stated with a good jab. Kessler landed some bombs but when they did nothing to froch it knocked his confidence. There will be a third fight.

Re: Froch ready to "kill" kessler
Well done to Froch.
I thought Kessler would stop him and he landed somebeautifull shots on Froch. I was pissed off with the scoring I thought it could have been a draw.
Alot of the rounds again, Kessler I think stole with the better sharper combinations but he just didnt seem to be able to sustain in like the last fight. Personally, I think hes finished at this weight. He took a fight over the super middle limit last year, granted he only weighed in just over a pound over the 12 stone limit but there must have been a reason for it and he just look exhausted in the last few rounds but I still felt he won enough rounds to earn a draw.
If this had been the Kessler of 6 years ago, he would have finished Carl in the 11th but as it was he had nothing left in the tank.
Get a unification with Bika for the WBC and become the unified world champ, if he has anything left after this. Bika will be a nightmare of. Fight for Froch with his defence.

It was a much clearer win for Froch than the first was for Kessler. The only way you could see a draw was if you were determined to give no Credit to Froch.
