Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Planning on heading out for a stint in the bush with my 2 hellions. Its just past 6:30. You guys are about 8 hours ahead so that puts the card starting at about 2 this afternoon. Because I must watch using a fast paced waterway I'm going to assume they will only show from about Rose to Gavin.

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
I want and would prefer Rees to win, even if I do think he should of retired after Broner.
Nothing left for him except backwards steps.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Few Early results:
Camacho in 2
Evans on points
Stalker in 1
Ochieng points

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
So, Brian Rose's opponent is nicknamed 'The Fish'? Is this because he's always slippery on the scales? Or does he have a great hook?
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
The Fish looks a bit flabby around the mid rift. Dont think he is going to upset Rose but hes here to fight. Much better then the usual tin cans Eddie has his men fight
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Good 4th Round for Ribchev. 3-1 to Rose after 4
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Adam Smith starts off telling everyone Rose is not a puncher (rightly) then three rounds in starts wondering if Rose is purposely trying to go rounds
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Through 6 and I have it 4-2 to Rose. Ribchev is piling on the pressure. He walked onto a very good right hook in that round but took it very well.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
yeah if the fish was the house fighter he'd probably win this

Yea Rose is landing the better shots but Ribchev is throwing more and has landed a few. I have no doubt Rose will win it but doesnt look a world beater at all.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Last round. I have Rose 6-3 up. Decent scrap. Ribchev came to fight.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Rose just seemed to switch off through the middle rounds. He looked great at the end of the ninth when he was unloading, but I'm not sure if its his concentration or fitness, he just didn't seem to throw much when Ribchev came on in 5-8

Yea definitely. You can include the 4th round in your statement too.

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Rose finished well and deserved to win. The Fish wont be getting much more work in the UK though (he was actually trying to win)
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Well, The Fish may have lost....but he can console himself that a Lion will never feed the five thousand.
Bit wide on the cards in my view, but hey ho, Rose was the home fighter.

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Quigg scores a KD in round 2. No question whos winning this fight.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
OK "poor" opponent but Quigg is starting to look mustard. He looked class

Easy to look class against a guy who doesnt throw punches. Chap was out of shape, flabby around the mid rift. Fight tells us no more about Quigg. I still have it pickem between Carl and Scott
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Cracking finish from Quigg there, and it can't be too long before he gets in and around the world title scene. There plenty of better fighters up there than Prado, but a good finish.

Yeah that's why I said "poor" opponent
I used to favour Frampton over Quigg but now i'm 50/50 on it. Shame we'll never see it (unless one of them gets exposed up in class)

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
I hope they both win world titles and have a massive unification fight in maybe 2 years. Both are young enough so no need to fight this early.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
2nd round nearly over in Smith v Dodson 2. Smith probably getting the best of it so far. Sorry my posts not coming in great detail and could very well be inaccurate as Im in work and only glancing at TV in backround.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Quigg did what he needed to do against a terrible opponent.
I still say Frampton beats him. Carl just has more about him and more strings to his bow.

Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Loving this fight ...Dunno which way this will go Smith got the upper hand but still a scrap
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Cracking 3rd round, Smith scores a big KD and Dodson just beats the count. He managed to come back strong for the rest of the round though and holding his own halfway through the 4th
-
What a cracking local derby this is! Hope Smith wins, but a superb tear up so far.
-
Excellent finish from Smith, that big right at the start of the round was great. Dodson was brave, and the right to finish was pinpoint.
Next up Gav Rees to spoil this particular scouse party!

Crolla is from Manchester aint he?
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
Seems the presenters are going for a late stoppage in favor of Gavin Rees so i will be Hoping Crolla can surprise them :)
-
If crolla is from Manchester then my bad, I just assumed. Either way, good to see he's come straight from his job as a binman.
-
Fairly even fight so far, not the kind of fireworks we saw in the last fight though. Time for Rees to motor on.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
agreed ...both look abit knackered but i have Crolla 1 round up ..Rees more aggressive but not landing much ...Crolla could win this
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat

All square through8 for me. All depends on who has what left in the tank.
-
Re: SKY SPORTS 1 HD - REES v CROLLA Saturday Night Fight Chat
big start and finish for crolla in round 9 sounds like the last three will decide the winner for most except for commentators who sound like they got crolla inked in as the winner already
