Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Here's who I got for the top 5 Heavyweights outside of the Klitschko brothers.
1. Povetkin (mainly due to the fact that he is a titleholder)
2. Tomasz Adamek (fought 4 times in 2012 and has a fight coming up August 3rd)
3. Kubrat Pulev (Has stepped up his game as far as opposition, however, still a little inexperienced)

Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
lol sorry i meant 3...its a tough list to choose from
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Cunningham was robbed against Adamek. The amount of hate Fury gets in here, he KO'd Cunningham, left no doubt. He also maybe should have lost the decision against a one armed fighter in Chambers and Travis Walker is miles away from being any where near a contender;)
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Pulev
Povetkin
Haye
They are my 3. Shows how poor the div is.
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
thats a good list though, haye just needs to be more active...it would be nice to see one of those three knock off the current champs though
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
After Wlad and Vitali the division shapes up like this
1. Pulev
2. Povetkin
3. Adamek
4. Haye
5. Fury
6. Stiverne
7. Thompson
8. Jennings
9. Price
10. Arreola/Banks/Mitchell

Again, after their respective Cunningham fights, why would anyone have Adamek above Fury? Fury got dropped but if he had fought more disciplined like he did against Johnson then the knockdown wouldn't have happened but as it was, on his worst showing he KOd a man that should have got the decision against Adamek.

Why does everyone overlook Audley Harrison? He won gold you know? 😶

Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
If this was written on "paper" it wouldn't worth the paper its on!Paper is a valued commodity these days..........................the Heavyweight Division .........isn't!!! Ray

Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Haye smashes Adamek and Povetkin.
Pulev is harder but I'd fancy Haye still.
Haye
Pulev
Povetkin
P.s. Adamek? Really? Disappointed in you all.
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
How the fudge is anybody gunna rank Adamek above Haye? C'mon man, gotta get a clue here. Haye would absolutely destroy Adamek.

Adamek is a Light Heavyweight and Cunningham is a Cruiserweight, what happens between those two has nothing to do with Fury getting dropped hard by an old cruiserweight and then having to headlock his way to a KO.

So again, how does Adamek rank above Fury?;)

Have to agree with Ross here even tho it pains me to do so. Can't have Adamek above Fury. In saying that I'd still have Price ahead of Fury desire his loss. I may retract that statement after the weekend tho

Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Haye is BY far the best heavy outside of the klits and would beat any other fighter in the div, would write more but I'm working booo

How has anything Price done matched what Fury has?
Fury has been gradually improving on opponents, while Price was taking on British level and retired fighters. I said at the time, it was a ridiculous jump in class to be (and would lose), fighting someone who challenged for the title just last year from who he had been facing. Fury fought Johnson who is about the same level as Thompson but younger and Fury came through that test with flying colours.

Its not all about who they have fought. Its how they look doing so. I reckon Price would spark Fury in 2 or 3. Fury has still fought no one of note Ross. You can shite on all you want about him fighting better fighters and moving up in class is but the fact is he hasnt stepped in the ring with a genuine risky opponent. So judging by who hes fought means fuck all. Its down to how they look, what skills they show in the ring etc.
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Adamek is ranked higher than Haye simply because he is more active and he continues to win. Regardless of the Cunningham fight and what you think might have happened Adamek was declared the winner and therefore hasn't lost since fighting Vitali.
Adamek went 4-0 in 2012....David Haye went 1-0....Haye is younger and should be more active but that might cut into his time as a trash talker.
Fury is complete dogshit....he's "undefeated" if you want to talk about robberies how about that fat bloke who battered Tyson around the ring only to lose a decision? Fury has yet to fight a puncher and already he's been floored...I don't reckon his chin is any better than Price's.

Ummmm yeah I'm going to have to go ahead and declare shenanigans on that statement. Kevin Johnson is nowhere near Tony Thompson's level. Johnson had potential, Thompson actually reached his.

By getting knocked out twice?
Also, "its not about who they fought but how they looked doing so"? Absolute bullshit!
If that was the case Butterbean knocking out all those journey men meant something on the world level?.
Its down to results. Price looked good against who? Sexton, Skelton, Harrison etc, who wouldnt have? As soon as he goes anywhere near someone who got knocked out in a world title challenge he falls apart:cool:

Kevin Johnson is shit, he fights in a negative style and he has no power but he makes up for it by being lazy in the ring. So he was never going to KO Fury and he was never going to win on points either. Let Fury step up to Tony Thompson and then we'll see how he does.
At the end of the day all that matters is #1 and that's Wladimir and he's continue to be #1 til he retires.

Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
IT's not always the ranked fighters who are the most capable in the division..
Amir Mansour is the best HW outside the Klits at the moment..

Vitali is going to put a hurting on Stiverne despite being old. Adamek would probably get beaten by Haye, Fury, and Price.

He's 40 years old, never fought a contender, and just had a fight vs Jason Gavern.....oh yeah, he's REALLY some fighter
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
....also 6'1 and weighing in the 220's.....get the fuck outta here with that Mansour bullcrap!
You're telling me a 40 year old who is BARELY a heavyweight is the next best thing to The Klitschko's? :shakehead: There's probably 20-30 heavyweights that could beat Mansour right now outside the Klitschko's. Mansour is no different than Faruq Saleem

I want you to name those 30 fighters so i can have a good laugh..
Mansour is better than the likes of Siverne, Arreola and Jennings.

By "better" what do you mean? He certainly hasn't fought better opponents, that's for damn sure! Has Mansour fought a top 50 fighter yet? Is Mansour even ranked in the top 20? As I've said before, he's 40 years old, he's small, and he's not fought anyone...perhaps had he stayed out of prison he would have done better.
Thompson, Fury, Price, Adamek, Arreola, Stiverne, Jennings, Chagaev, Dimitrenko, Haye, Pulev, Boytsov, Glazkov, Abdusalamov, Wilder, Povetkin, Cunningham, Solis, Banks, Mitchell, Pianetta, Joe Hanks, Andy Ruiz, Charr, Chisora, Franklin Lawrence, Kaufman, Scott, Helenius, Luis Ortiz, Jovo Pudar, Takam....I could keep going, I mean we're not even to the level of what opposition Mansour has actually fought against yet
Call me when Mansour decides to fight someone with a pulse....and people think Deontay Wilder is moving slow :shakehead:
Before Mansour got arrested (again) he was talking all kinds of shit trying to fight a Klitschko :vd: .....Wladimir would be the bejesus out of Mansour! Mansour has horrible movement for a smaller heavyweight and it's just a matter of time before he gets stopped. He's a load mouthed punk and he's got no right to even mention the champion's name given the tomato cans that Mansour has been in the ring with. Keep beating guys like Jason Gavern and maybe you'll get a big fight vs Butterbean....dipshit
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Martin Rogan would have a good shot at beating Mansour. Hes actually done rounds against actual quality opponents.
-
1) haye.
Great big gap.
2) povetkin.
3)pulev
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
well now that Price lost i think its safe to say he will not be a part of this discussion
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
Povetkin, Pulev, Stiverne (?)
-
Re: Top 3 Heavyweight besides Klitschko's
would it be the worst thing to have the fury vs haye winner fight adamek...could solve some rankings issues

These guys want to go for the main course, the Klit brothers not anyone else. From the money they bring the Brothers Grimm will come running.
