Monaco Finale - Rodriguez-Grachev, Allakhverdiev-M'Baye, Kucher-Makabu, Bursak-Arron

This Saturday is the Super 4 tournament final.

Rodriguez-Grachev - Interesting clash of styles. La Bomba didn't look too good last time out IIRC...neither did Grachev who I felt was fortunate to get the nod over Erdei. I think Rodriguez wins on points but if he has another flat performance...things could get interesting. Grachev's no slouch.

Allakhverdiev-M'Baye - Showcase fight for Khabib IMO. He should roll...I say he gets M'Baye outta there in the late rounds.

Bursak-Arron - EBU title fight. Not too familiar with Arron, apart from his fight with Duddy which happened when he was only 19. Maybe the Brits could chime in on his behalf. Bursak on the other hand, is a solid top 10-15 middleweight. Haven't seen any odds but I assume Bursak is favored.

Kucher-Makubu - I saw Makubu fight on the last Monaco card. Fun fighter to watch. Has won all of his 13 fights by kayo and his only loss was by kayo in his debut. He hasn't fought any name fighters, but for what it's worth, his best wins were over fighters with 9-0-1, 12-0, 23-1 records. Kucher, looks like a potential world title challenger from what I've seen of him...maybe beltholder. He stopped former world title challengers Steve Herelius & Ali Ismailov rather easily. Also has wins over Lubos Suda and Geoffrey Batello. I think Kucher scores a knockout in the first half of the fight.


Thoughts? Predictions?

I agree it's not a bad card. Grachev versus Rodriguez is the fight of the evening clearly. Rodriguez should show his class and beat Grachev, but I've been somewhat impressed with Grachev in knocking out the Black Russian, his losing effort against Bute and his win over Erdei. He's seen class before and he's hung in there. Crazy to say but his recent run isn't half bad. I favor Rodriguez because I can see Grachev being outboxed. He doesn't seem to have the finer points of boxing down.

Not to often I'll say this but I'm really hoping Khabib beats retirement into M'baye. The guy just needs putting out to pasture.
