Your thoughts on Broner???
First off. How r u guys?? Im new here.
Anyway.. i was wondering what the general group of boxing fans thought of Broner?
Some people actually believe he is a copy of a young mayweather....that he is the future of boxing..... Me personally, i think the guy will be shut up pretty soon. Especially if he stays at WW. I think although he tries to emulate floyd...... His defense is no where near the real thing, and his footwork is much different ,not bad.....just different from floyd.....he has MUCH more power than floyd in my opinion and may even be faster ....MAYBE. but i think paulie exposed him. He should be fighting maidana next. Given the styles.....he could beat maidana via decision. But if he gets caught with the shot paulie was landing on him. It's over.
What are your opinions on this guy?
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
We don't know how good his chin is . He is going to be exposed soon I think. But he is still young and can have a really good career . He is an idiot and I don't like him , but if he is guided , he can have a good future

No doubt the guy is an idiot in every aspect of life other than fighting. Lol
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
Adrian Broner is a first class piece of shit.
He's a disgrace to boxing.
He's not even that good, he should already have a loss and a draw on his record.

No he beat Mallinaggi by one round on my card.
Loss to Quintero,
Draw with De Leon.
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
If you follow Broner on Twitter or Fb you see ofcours Broner is always copying Mayweather. I think its a little stupid but that's just my opinion.
He will never become like Mayweather in the ring, he is a verry good boxer but there is only 1 Mayweather only 1 Tyson, 1 Ali..etc.
He's boxing style is also completly different than Mayweather he might do the shoulder roll..
But he doesn't got the brains for making a good gameplan with his trainers.
I think he will become verry good, but not amazing just my opinion..

Don't forget that there is only going to be one Broner, too. We don't know where he is going to wind up yet, and don't forget that he jumped two weight classes. All things considered, I think he did OK. The Paulie fight was more about Paulie being pumped up for the fight than Broner having a poor outing, that might have been the best you'll see from Paulie.
I don't like Broner out of the ring either, but we haven't seen the best from him in the ring. IMO
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
It's an indictment on boxing that we can call a guy a three trinket champion but yet most will say we haven't seen the best of him or he hasn't been forced to fight a different style. Makes him sound like a glorified prospect.
I don't care about his attitude etc. He's a cheesy gimmick stuck on stale punch lines, bit like a toddler throwing a fit in the middle of the store in order to draw an audience. He has some ability, but I really do think he's a flawed fighter in some regards and once someone forces him on his heels he can be sparked.
Welcome to the forum btw.

I agree
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
He's not NEARLY as good as he thinks he is... honestly, if ur a class fighter at 147, u should KO Mallinaghi. Kudos to Mallinaghi for a job well done with no tools. Love the guy, but he has no punch WHAT SO EVER... Maidana is a blown up welterweight, but he absolutely will be Bronners toughest test... Maidana is an animal, but at 147..he's I only a little beastly... yet, it's hard for me to pick against Maidana. The Match i'd LOVE to see is Marquez vs Bronner... Marquez would probably knock Bronner into another dimension..and it would set up Big Brother May vs Marquez rematch...everyone knows how Bronner loves May like family... and if Bronner would beat Marquez, then the hype machine would also take over and all kinds of matches could be imagined for Bronner...it's a win win.
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
Hes being built up to get torn down, the question is, by who? cuz he cant survive, hes not faster or stronger than mayweather, he just fight differently, and completely different opposition. Genero hernandez is ten times tougher than anyone broner has fought so far and floyd has beat him at 19, even the weakest guys in floyds championship resume would give broner hell
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
We shall see in the futur what Broner is going to do.
You never know what gonna happen, everyone hated Floyd also in the beginning.
The futur will tell
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
I never understood why everyone compared Broner's style to Floyd's cuz really, they have only very things in common..
Broner tries hard to imitate Floyd's persona but in the ring, the counter right hand and the way he poses with his shoulder are the only resemblance. OH yea, and they both throw one punch at a time..
At the end of the day, he'll never be like FLoyd because he's not nearly as good defensively.. ONe of Floyd's biggest assets and the reason he's so great is because his defense is nearly impenetrable and Broner doesn't have that. He gets hit too much because he stays in the pocket instead of using his legs like floyd.
In broner's defense, I can say that he's more exciting than Floyd and will be in some cracking fights but as far as them being similiar, they are not..

Not to mention floyd was much more active in the ring at that stage of his career, he didnt stand and throw one punch like he does now, he moved and threw combos

The fact that he could have been a 4 division champ if he had stopped at 140 does say a lot but he didn't invent the system and I it's just a fact he's not in his prime but he's still better than most boxers between 135-147 so it's unfair to call him a prospect.
Woulda-coulda. All it says is that he cherry picked a trinket from a guy who got beat up by Cano much worse. Lets not get it twisted. He skipped 140 cause it was more attainable with less of a threat, unless he wanted to pick the trinket off the bones of a destroyed Peterson. Who's says he is a 100 percent certainty over a Vazquez or Abril at 135?! Not me. He better "improve" quick and find a defense if he even dreams of 147 cause apparently his pop hasn't arrived from the trip up. I think all three beat him off his recent goes.

Did you consider Peterson ruined after he lost to Bradley? Vazquez is one of the best boxers in the world and Avril easily beat the guy who now has a Manny fight, people seem confused with Broner they overestimate him or think he's a bum.
After Bradley? Nah, he obviously bounced back albeit with a little extra 'boost'. The way Matthysse left him in a mashed heap though...time will tell. Broners not a bum, but broken down case for case I have yet to see anything spectacular. Right now his mouth has caused more havoc than his hands.
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
I just don't understand why Broner is such a cunt , he is a talented boxer , but you cant help but hate him.
Re: Your thoughts on Broner???
Broner = shit. Constantly moves backwards and gets caught on the ropes, barely jabs. I bet he gets away with that shit every time he spars because he is a silver spoon-fed, stupid motherfucker. He is so fucking stupid he actually believes his own bullshit. There is no hope for cunts like that. I was shocked that I didn't get any real enjoyment out of him officially losing. Probably because unlike Floyd at the end of the day he actually sucks balls and anybody with any real sense knew he'd get the shit beaten out of him eventually. Furthermore, the whole fucking Floyd thing is beyond a fucking joke - its actually quite disturbing.
