Looks like Brook will be fighting Vyacheslav Senchenko.
I expected to be let down, I guess it's big after Hatton.
This is a good fight and I expect Kell to win the fight against a top welterweight and then be ready to challenge the winner Khan v Alexander.
Vyacheslav Senchenko is a decent opponent.
Wow so this is the big opponent Hearn had in mind? This is a conjob, false advertising.
Im very disappointed..
He's solid and a good name for kell to have on his record after what he did to ricky. I bet a lot of Brits will want a big win here for Ricky's sake.
WELL, they promised us a big name and as it turns out we may have a long one into the bargain (or, ‘instead of’): Vyacheslav Senchenko
Respect to that journo. ;D
So bloody obvious, without the silly hype it's a decent fight, with the silly hype it's shit.
After Brook's fight the other week his promoter said a "big name" which got everyone guessing at guys like Khan, Guerrero, Berto, Broner, Paulie etc. So his promoter has played it well because there's been over a weeks worth of hype about Brook but it could have only ever been a lesser guy. Because Senchenko beat Hatton he is a "name" in the UK ( ;D)
Yea, this was probably half set before Brook even fought last, no brainer to make I'm sure as nobody cares to see Senchenko anywhere else. Downside of that is this is only more domestic exposure for him, I'd like to see him fight one of those guys mentioned soon.
Kermit Cintron is more respectable
I can't believe people are calling this a solid fight? 6 months ago he was lined up to fight for a world title and now he's fighting a guy who was stopped, yes stopped by Paulie Mallignaggi. Not only was he stopped he didn't win one round. He then beat a Ricky Hatton who hadn't been in the ring in ages only because Hatton gassed. This is a joke of a fight and is an easy win for Kell. Absolute bullshit
Bit of disappointment , but not supprised as I called it in another thread, but lets b honest it's still a step up from where he is now
Good fight for brook, get the British fans on his side if he beats him.
After that he needs to be fighting for a world title or at least a number 1 contenders match.
Seems British boxing is so close but yet so far away
This a bit of a backwards step for brook imo but then again I'm not high oin the guy and don't really see him beating most of the top guys.
I've seen Tortoises move faster than Kell's career. Seriously he has been fighting at this level for so long now it is starting to get boring. Talent wise he is fantastic but I can't for the life of me explain why his career hasn't kicked on. He was ready to step it up 2 years ago. This is just treading water now. Kell will win, and it won't move him on further in anyone's estimation.
He is still the mandatory for that strap. Its an ok fight but its shy on the hype that was suggested.I still say that with all that talent Brook is not right in the head to be at the top. He does not seem keen on cutting the umbilical cord. Btw I don't think Khan/Devon is anywhere near done.
I heard that Alexander-Khan negotiation went bad the fight is off for now.
If Brook didnt fake his injury, he should be jumping at the opportunity by now..
Senchenko was wba champ for 5 fights not bad that is it?
Haha exactly, very little to take from that fight. He looked ok at points, but Hatton didn't and gave Senchenko nothing to deal with. The only noteworthy result on this guys resume is a stoppage loss to Malignaggi, and he's 36. In any case he isn't beating Brook and this is not a step forward.
This fight is finalized for oct 26.. I can't believe Brook went pro in 2004. smh
And people used to shit on Chavez Jr for being overprotected? lol
