It's Anthony Dirrell, not Andre since you are mentioning damage.
Im a huge fan of Andre The Matrix but it's hard to figure out where his head is at. But Andre Dirrell on a normal day would beat the crap out of Bika and Dr Shahai would agree.
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
Win over Hanshaw gets you a title fight. Who knew. Honestly he makes Ward look like Evander Holyfield. I think Bika, a full throttle Bika, beats the teers outta him.
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
Yeah, the other guy's andre dirrell who's a disgrace to the sport...
Some guys you just never care to see stink out a boxing ring ever again.
The constant cry@$$ing to the ref against Froch, the acting job against Abraham, andre dirrell has no Heart. Normally that's no problem as Boxing needs and is built on lower-tier ham-and-egger types who have no illusions nor delusions about their place in the pecking order, but it's bull$#!t when some promoter tries to sell you a guy in the main event who is clearly NOT The Goods...
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
Anthony Dirrell is the one who was in the Boxing news a few years back because he had lymphoma, a type of cancer.
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
This is a tough one. I think Bika takes this by a very close decision. Possibly split or majority or even a draw is possible
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
Enough of the Andre Dirrell hate.

He showed pure heart against Froch and abraham. He was like archie moore and a prime holyb all on the same night.
The Matrix is the bestb fighter at 168 if he puts it all together.

Now pull my other leg too, this one plays the rumba!

Being allowed to constantly, ilegally bend your head below your opponents waist and clinch do not make a fighter great.

I don't find that statement insane part of why I dislike him is the talent he threw away.
I agree. Finito isn't way off with that statement. Nothing insane about it all. Outside of Ward I see what he is saying quite clearly. Dirrell was the lion on the Wizard of Oz. Dude has beastly talent but nothing inside to fuel it. I always thought he would be the only guy to possibly beat Ward without the lucky punch variable. Andre Dirrell just doesn't have the heart at all...but his brother does. But his brother is a bit less talented. But not enough to sleep on though because he will beat Bika. Bradllee, can you agree that Andre is physically the most talented 168er? Its just that Andre fights so unsure of himself it pisses people off because it appears he is the only one unaware of his physical capabilities.
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
Anthony Dirrell is good enough to beat the Bikas of the world and im pretty sure of it.
Andre Dirrell.. besides him having confidence issues, the only other technical flaw i see in him is the fact that he stays too far away from his target to throw effective counter punches. With his cat-like reflex, he can afford to make his opponents miss and make em pay but for some reason, he's not as comfortable in the pocket like Floyd for instance.. Maybe he's been hit real hard as an amatuer and has flashbacks, but he'd be alot more effective in the right distance.
Darryl Cunningham isn't a bad fighter yet Dirrell destroyed him after almost 2 years layoff. Cunningham is the same guy that was chosen to be Pavlik's comeback opponent but had a change of heart cuz he was too risky.
Andre DIrrell is the truth if he can get his mind right.
Re: Anthony Dirrell the front runner to face Bika on the Hopkins-murat undercard
This is a good fight. In my opinion, the Bika that faced Ward, Bute, and Calzaghe isn't the same Bika I've seen in his last two fights. That Bika tore through people who weren't at the top level. This Bika is struggling against guys that Bika would have beat. If prime Bika would have faced Tony Dirrell, I would pick prime Bika. Tony Dirrell versus Current Bika is a tough fight for me to pick. Maybe I lean toward Dirrell a bit because he is fresher. Winner of this fight will probably get Edwin Rodriguez, who just signed with Haymon. I like Rodriguez over either.

Sure he's talented and has many physical gifts with all the physical attributes a fighter could ever want, nobody disputes that, but psychologically he's lacking and consequently is not the truth.
That's why there's that old expression: Boxing is the Great truth-teller.
That's why Boxing in open worldwide competition has the financial rewards for the best-of-the-best, and if it ain't there, it'll be exposed.
Coasting on talent, he's still good enough to be Top 10 which is an accomplishment, but he's not elite Top 3.
In contrast, lesser athletes have gone further because of dedication, sacrifice, confidence, and Heart.
Take Margarito at the Pacquiao fight. Slow as molasses, but tough as a 2 dollar steak, and he wasn't gonna stop. He kept coming ahead.
