I feel it. Change is in the air. I think Floyd is going to lose (probably a controversial decision).
And I've NEVER picked Floyd to lose, ever.
I say he's going to get dethroned.
nope.
Floyd will get destroyed.
Canelo is too quick.
Better footwork.
Better power.
Better brains.
Superb stamina.
Much bigger.
Better record.
Younger.
I just cant see how floyd wins.
Floyd better run and hope and pray he paid the judges enough.
Lol
Floyd's the greatest boxer in the history of the sport in my books, but with Anderson Silva getting KTFO... I think there might be a change in the air.
I felt that with hatton.
When the weigh in happens on any of floyds fights i think hes going to loose as he just doesnt seem intimidating and looks as though he just doesnt pose any threat.
After the 3rd round, floyd adapts and i think why was i so worried..cruise control.
I do't rate Canelo at all. Mosley hung tough, Floyd will hang ten.

This is the biggest realistic threat for Floyd and hope he loses. I can see it too.
Anyone else can forget it at welterweight.
Canelo hugely overrated. He struggled with Trout. Floyd is better then Trout in every area. Mayweather wins a decision in a very very one sided fight.
Can't see it. Canelo has slow feet, doesn't have a high output and he only throws when stationary. He's never seen anything close to Floyd, who isn't Anderson Silva in fisticuffs.
Trout isn't as good as say Lara imo, or even like a Paul Williams few years ago. He's a good boxer, but wasn't terribly hard to hit against Canelo and still ran him very very close. The knockdown aside he probably would've had that fight, and there was a WHOLE lot of room for improvement in the blueprint.
I'm not saying Canelo is going to best Floyd, I just have a feeling that he's going to take a decision. PROBABLY a gift.
Canelo can afford a loss at this stage.
Floyd cant.
Something tells me Floyd knows something we don't. Floyd doesn't take a fight unless he knows exactly what is going to happen. That's why he wouldn't fight Pac. The only thing that has me hoping that Canelo might be able to pull this off is his age. Because he's only 22, he's still learning. He may come into the ring with a whole new bag of tricks. That and possibly landing a few body shots while outweighing Floyd by 20 lbs. on fight night could be cause for a GLIMMER of hope.
I think floyd is going to go to another level this fight, he's going to look the best we have ever seen and I think the ref stops the fight around 7 or 8 floyds going to do what he did to gatti he will completely dominate him till the ref jumps in
44 have tried and 45 will fail. Canelo has youth and the it factor of a future superstar but I think he will get befuddled and outboxed like everyone else. But if it is a close 1 then I think they will award Canelo with the win.
I'm new to this forum so I'm gonna make sure my first post is a prediction thats gonna come true.. Floyd won't lose, I think Canelo will be a top fighter in the future and maybe thats part of the appeal for Floyd in terms of starting to think about his legacy. A win against Canelo will mean more in 10 years when Canelo's the best than it does now.
Floyd is guy that takes two years off and comes back like its nothing.
Stint in prison and played with guerrero for 12 rounds.
Stamina affects loads of good fighters inc cotto and zab judah, the fact that floyds stamina and endurance is far better than canelo is and always will be a factor in his advantage.
If Alvarez would have pressed the lead, used the grade c blueprint of a Floyd he had in front of him and hammered Trout out, I might go there. Just can't off that fight. I see a stiff fast jab giving Alvarez shit fits and don't see him keeping Floyd still long enough for the body work.
Exactly.
Just think how annoying it must be fighting floyd with all the running back and forth he does and the accurate counters.
I expected canelo to loose against trout but he handled himself very well and his face showed no sign of damage after the fight.
Trout had the reach advantage like someone mentioned but doesnt have the defense.
True, But Canelo knocked down Trout. and Trut whipped Cotto's ass three ways on Wednesday while May struggled with him. This same logic could lead one to believe Pac would smash May, But then again May out pointed Mannys biggest antagonist. It all depends on how the styles match up.......Just like the Frazier, Foreman and Ali debacle.
With this being said, I think May wins on Points.
im going to have fun on september 15th. you guys forget cotto came in outta shape for trout, also forget trouth may have not been at his best for canelo, and maybe a little intimidated by his power, you also forget that trouth is taller and bigger than cotto, and you also forget that while trout is a solid fighter, to say he is better than cotto is crazy, and to say he is anything like mayweather is crazy, if anything as competitive as trout canelo was, it makes me realize canelo wont touch him. Even little jesesito hung in there for a couple rounds, which is crazy with a guy as big as canelo, his fight against shane was much less impressive than mayweather, and it was at 154!!! Outside of the obvious things, i think some of you are just overlooking the intangibles ...which usually plays the bigger part. on paper canelo wins this fight, but boxing isnt won on paper.
If Canelo fights his ass off, it could turn out like OScar-Sweet Pea
I cant see floyd losing to this guy, canelo fights about 1 minute tops of each round. he's the 1 whose stamina i wonder about. and he is certainly not as quick as floyd. to me this fight will be like Ali vs Lyle------------KO 10th round, maybe 11th
It does take a lot to chop down a 22 year old tree, esp when you are 36.
I'm not disagreeing with this assesment because in my opinion, it's spot on. But, I have to say that I've noticed Floyd spending a bit more time in one spot than he ever has. I was suprised at how many exchanges he got into with Cotto. Subtract 10 years from Cotto in those exchanges and we may have a much closer fight...not saying Cotto would have won...but much closer.
A quick way to tell if someone is a lil' Floyd nuthugger or hater: "The only time a fighter has a chance against Mayweather is if he doesn't fight them".
