Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
Serious question, who should Canelo fight? Who else is out there in light middleweight that can give the champ a challenge? Or should he go up in weight and knock Martinez aka damaged goods out? Opinions about his next fight are welcomed. ;D

Not sure I agree with your outcome but I definltey think he should fight (Should have fought first) Cotto, rematch Trout, Rosado, then move up in weight and fight Martinez (Not likely), and Golovkin.

Agreed with Cotto for the money and Trout I'd he wins a strap but should Canelo win he will have a rematch with Floyd.
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
IF Canelo beats Floyd, then a rematch would obviously be the biggest fight out there. Assuming he doesn't win, then a Trout rematch or even fighting Cotto do probably make the most sense to rebound.
If the kid manages to pull this off it would be huge and there isn't really anyone else at 154 worthy of a super fight, not sure he'd be wise to move up to 160 so fast though.

Haha.
If he beats Mayweather, and taking into consideration the HBO/Showtime beef, he should face the Lara/Trout winner, but I believe Mayweather had him sign a rematch clause.
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
There's a rematch clause. So he would be facing Mayweather again no matter what. Afterwards he can take an easy money fight by smashing what's left of Cotto. Or he can go beat Trout again

Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
A while ago Showtime said they planned on keeping Canelo on regular Showtime to increase and enhance Showtimes Subscription channel. I was looking forward to that happening but so much for that. After the rematch I would like to see Saul fight Trout again but this time in Las Vegas. I guarantee the scores will be more in line with the fight. Actually, that fight with Trout was close. much closer than the scores reflected. Unfortunately it was Sauls performance against Trout and Mosely that make me think he may not fair well against Mayweather. Despite this the entire line-up of fights on this PPV feature are damn fine fights and I am getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on this damn thing

Freddy Kruger, seeing as Canelo would clearly living in your gyms.
Jokes aside, I think it's gonna be a good fight... Pretty close maybe.
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
If he gets past Mayweather then we will see a rematch and if I were Pac I would jump at fighting Canelo for big money if he beats Mayweather twice. But Canelo is a big boy so I can imagine him fighting Martinez, GGG or Mexican rival JCCJR.
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
given the miracle he wins, in no way is he done with 154, he still needs to CLEARLY beat Trout, there's Angulo (who'll just quit again but hey that's ok), Lara, Cotto, Martirosyan/Andrade winner, Molina/Smith winner to unify all the titles, and then he can think about going up and seeing if Martinez is even gonna be available and healed up from his knee injury and surgery, he could go in against the GGG/Stevens winner, Pirog is coming back, or he can make bank by fight Mr. Silver Spoon himself in Chavez JR, seeing how the pothead one isn't growing a pair and moving up to 168
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
Cotto? Alvarez would take the fight. Cuz it's an easy money fight. But lets be realistic. Cotto had a chance to twice fight Alvarez and said no. He'll duck him a 3rd time

I think Cotto/Martinez is set to be announced. Just a hunch. If he loses tonight that's not a bad comeback. He could make that fight even if he wins.

If it does than Martinez is taking it easy in his first fight. Cotto struggled to be competitive against Trout. He'll be less competitive against Martinez

They will make it a catch. Martinez looks.. rather rapidly as worn out as Cotto is and is not a big middleweight. If Alvarez pulls this off a rematch with Floyd is a given so we will have to wait and see.

Martinez is not a big middelweight. His last opponents have been much bigger than him. Martinez is not the same fighter since the Chavez fight. He can't keep the stronger opponents off him like before. He won't have that problem against a much smaller Cotto

Jesus Christ. Anyway he's not a big middle and weighs about the same as Alavarez on fight night. I dont give a fuck what he does ok? I simply said what I think are his options and a catch weight fight with the winner of Martinez/Cotto should it materialize would be one of them regardless of fucking weight. They are the same fucking size. That is him and Martinez. Fighting Cotto would be like fighting a smaller version of himself.

hahahaha you're so full of shit! yea i'm sure Martinez is ruined from schooling Chavez for 11 of the 12 rounds, then Chavez dropped him and still wasn't able to finish a one handed one legged nearly 40 yr old fighter who was about 20 lbs lighter than him, big props to the guy lol if you're gonna try to say someone "ruined" Martinez that would go to Macklin who all around gave him a tougher fight than Chavez ever did and Martinez originally injured his knee in that fight, but nice try to build up the silver spooned one, there's a reason he hasn't fought since and now the Mexican equivalent to Moby Dick is taking on a Pretender of all people and the fight isn't a sure win for him by any means lol
Re: Who should Canelo fight after he beats Mayweather?
Floys rematch then martinez... why should he face cotto when he already beat two guys who beat him? There aint shit to gain..
