Rest in peace champion!
RIP to a great fighter, I'm not going to exaggerate his credentials at this sad time as I think it is disrespectful when people do that but I will say this.......He gave Ali and Holmes hell! My condolences to his family.
RIP Ken Norton, my thoughts are with his family.
Thanks for the memories, champ! we'll never forget you! You were a champion in and out of the ring.
Real warrior, rip. He didn't have the best natural ability or pedigree, nor a great chin. Considering that you have to respect the hell out of what he accomplished in becoming a great fighter, he truly studied his craft. If you didn't hit like a mule and land early, he would take you to the depths of hell no matter who you were:cool: I think he clearly beat Ali again in their third fight, that was a BS decision.
RIP champ. One of the top fighters during the Golden Age of heavyweights. He would have had a much longer reign in any other era. A magnificent athlete, always fit! Tough and always gave his best.
While he could be vulnerable to fast-starting big punchers, he gave a prime Larry Holmes his toughest fight by far and was the ONLY fighter that Muhammad Ali could not figure out. He gave Ali fits
A shame that such a physically gifted guy was so badly injured in a car crash post-boxing and suffered such a long period of ill health
A very good fighter, who was a huge factor in why the 1970s was a special time for the Heavyweights. His war with Holmes is arguably the best Heavyweight match ever, and that he could beat Ali and then give Muhammad two incredibly close battles, helps show how good he was.
R.I.P. Black Hercules
I don't believe in an afterlife, so will just say thank you for the great fights.
He came to fight and will not be quickly forgotten. R.I.P Mr Norton
R.I.P Champ
great fighter. I though he beat Ali in all 3 fights and almost won against Holmes. R.I.P champ
Ken Norton had a style that Ali, could not beat he had Ali's number RIP CHAMP.:appl::appl::appl:
RIP great man he was a warrior in boxing and will always be remembered.
Back when heavyweights were kings. R.I.P Champ
Any fighter who beat Ali gets my respect. R.I.P. Ken.
RIP to him, the man that IMO beat Ali 3 out of 3 times. He didn't have the technique to handle the big bombers very well, but his amazing jab and crab defense style were absolute poison to slick boxers like Ali and Holmes.
