Cotto has so many trainers.
Having many trainers is a sign of weakness and lack of discipline..
Hoto with the joke coach.. lets see how long that lasts..
He's looking good, like I said before one of my fav. fighters I'll be watching on saturday hopefully Cotto still has enough left would love to see him win one more title. A step in the right direction would be to put Delvin away which I'm sure he will.
De La Hoya must of been one weak mother fucker then, cause the guy at one point had been trained by Steward, Mayweather, Roach, Nacho, and the list goes on
Holyfeild did the same, maybe if your cheating homie would have changed trainers earlier he wouldn't of had to play the dumb card and act like he didn't know what was going on in Plastergate, nah what am I talking about it probably was the weak piece of shit's idea lol
I thought Cotto had a good thing going with Pedro Diaz.
Cotto will be in very good condition but he could have done that without Roach if he had the mentality and desire to do it. Maybe it is the fresh start that he needed but Cotto should beat Delvin with ease.
I just think Roach is best for younger fighters with less mileage on them. Cotto is a good boxer, he should still have enough left to beat Delvin.
Cotto looks to be in good shape. And has said...yes he Cotto himself has said he's in great shape. So there should be no fucking excuses about Cotto not being in shape. And none of that bogus blaming of the trainer that only a lust filled groupie would come up with either. Rodriguez is pretty much a journeyman fighter. Cotto should walk right through him.
Agreed and the fact that he fought an undefeated southpaw for a title he just lost was his promoters, managers and more Cotto's fault then the trainers. This should have been his tuneup fight after Mayweather then the Trout fight. I don't think Roach can show Cotto that much more then what Diaz, Stewart or anyone else has before him.
I disagree.. rodriguez is going to give cotto a very tough fight.. not because he's so good but his height, reach, and hunger will be hard to deal with...
Cotto might even lose here..
yea, only difference between the scenario is Cotto has already gone in and proven himself against ELITE FIGHTERS and is already by the end of his career, he wont have probs with Rodriguez but what's Jr's excuse to losing to a journey man that is a career long Jr Middleweight whom Jr outweighed by by a good 20 lbs on fight night, the third opponent he's had from The Contender, and is gonna be heading to a rematch lol Vanda schooled him, and then Vera did, fuckin pathetic, so what's your excuse that he's had to rematch not one but TWO PRETENDERS?
Vera ain't no world beater. But he's shown improvement under Shields. Only fighter ever to beat Dzinziruk besides him is Sergio Martinez. So there's proof there. Now I know you have no idea who the fuck Dzinziruk is. So to you that means he automatically sucks. But ask around. Dzinziruk was a good fighter. Ask your fellow Filipinos. They might know
Is it even possible to have one thread on here concerning a Puerto Rican or Mexican fighter or both without this ubiquitous bullshit?
Don't even have to worry. That's gonna change. EM just found out he's Filipino. So he won't be ruining threads with this Puerto Rico nonsense any more.
By the way, do me a favor. Tell him Serhiy Dzinziruk was actually a pretty good fighter. He doesn't know who he is
are you retarded?! Dzinziruk's two best wins were a close decision win against Santos and a competitive fight against Julio, he was horribly inactive
he was a good fighter but never anything out of this world, he was a slightly better version of Felix Sturm
and wtf does that have to do with anything? the mere fact that Chavez had Vera a solid 3 divisions higher than he's ever fought, and the fact that Jr was a Cruiserweight on fight night diminishes any excuse for why he got his ass beat by a limited jr middleweight, 2nd fight in the same month where a fighter who's younger, has a big size advantage, and outweighs his opponent by at LEAST 15 lbs, still gets his ass completely beat, at least when it happened with Canelo he made weight and lost to the best fighter on the face of the planet, that's why he catches a break, Chavez lost to a guy who was on a reality series, Vera's basically boxing's equivalent of The Miz on WWE :-X
If you ever saw Roach (steward, etc..) in the gym...Or, a fighter that has been fighting awhile in the gym... then you would know how little difference a trainer (generally) other than the first really makes.
Like I said Vera is no world beater. But he's improved working with Shields. Before Shields he doesn't stand a chance of beating Serhiy Dzinziruk. And beating Dzinziruk is way more than anything Delvin Rodrigez has ever done.
Than that would make Rodriguez Alex Riley. Miz is indeed garbage. But he did headline Wrestlemania and was WWE champ. Is Riley even still alive?
Roach was a hooker. His dad probably was. I just had a flash back of Kramer on the subway over hearing thoughts on a horse race. All his fighters are and have been. He thinks its a consistent lead. Cotto is a hooker. Its the punch that got him here. Its also the punch that his opponents capitalized on by timing it with almost expectation. Pedro made him use it wiser. The first words out of Roaches mouth was left hook. Roach has no concept of hit and not be hit.
Well, although I count myself among those who were puzzled by Cotto's change from Pedro Diaz to Roach..... I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see the end result in last night's fight. Delvin was not all that.... but Cotto was super-impressive. I was thrilled to see that old aggresion and vicious hooks to the body.
